In May 2016 I visited Alki and wrote about my visit “My first visit to Alki“. Sunday, December 18th, I read about Alki’s Noth Pole in Inara’s blog “A trip to Alki’s North Pole in Second Life” and of course I had to take a look. Alki’s North Pole is a seasonal addition to Alki and it is just cute! It will be open for visitors until end of December. Don’t miss this opportunity to take pictures or for ice skating or for sitting with a bear. I had some Winter fun exploring. Thank you Alana Onyett and Zoidyn Kytori – and thank you Inara for the suggestion.20161218-alkis-north-pole_009

Later that Sunday night, I took slave Flo and my niece Angelique to Alki’s North Pole and while slave Flo added to the sesonal Spirit with her antlers, Angelique and I were throwing snowballs and bulid a snowman, just having fun …

My first visit to Alki

Sunday morning I found the time for some simploring again after quite a long while. I picked “Alki“, which is described in detail in Inara Pey’s blog “Returning to Alki in Second Life“.
I like to start a visit with reading the short description of the Landmark:
Alki is a living, evolving project inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Fun activities and scenic spots to play and hang with friends. Wander the peaceful forest path, take in an amazing sunset at the beach. Home to Z&A Coffeehouse & Art Studio.”

May 22nd – Arriving at Alki

When you arrive at Alki you land at a sign post directing you to the different activities. I first went up to the coffeehouse and the art studio on the high plateau. The coffeehouse seems to be more a place to dance at night than to have just a coffee. The art studio is for sure a great place to display art. But up there you’ll find also other activities, like a visit to the underwater garden, a balloon ride or using the zip lane to go down again. I personally like the animation for your way down to the underwater garden. Well, I admit I should have changed to a swim suit but I was too lazy. Fortunately in Second Life you can go diving fully dressed and in high heels – and you don’t get wet.

During my visit I was alone and in a playful mood. I tried the big water slide – great fun! Close the the big water slide you find also quite some games, I personally found a new greedy game, embedded in a whirlpool, what a nice idea. And I tried the diving board. So if you’re up for playing, here you go.

I finished my visit at the beach. Not only there you find lovely spots to sit, dream and cuddle. Once again I discovered a great sim with various activities which is worth visiting more often, in particular not alone. For me it is amazing that I still find so many nice places, created with love for the detail and open to the public. Building myself, I know that there’s a lot of work (well building and creating is fun, isn’t it?) behind it. But at least maintaining a sim costs some money – so thank you very much Zoidyn (Zoidyn Kytori) and Alana Onyett for providing it to us all.
