On Sunday, February 17th, Starry (Starbright Wingtips) gave us (Jenny, Angelique and me) a tour through her fully remodelled prison: “The Obliviation Hole RLV Prison“. We had visited Starry’s Steampunk prison in 2018 already (read Simploring 2018 (38) Starry’s Steampunk Prison). But now it is bigger and more elaborated and sophisticated. On our tour we met PapaFox (papafox57) and Ćℓαire Arwen Alassé (maddh4tt3r), who both are wardens at the prison. We met Rose (lovelyrose387), a trustee prisoner, and Della (Della Randt) and a few others – and all of them are regular guests at our Friday night party. Hence a visit was overdue again, in particular as we talk about it during our parties very often.

The prison uses the latest in steam powered technology to operate outside of normal space and time. Your sentence in this prison will not pass at the same rate as time outside the prison. You may spend years here and find only days have passed outside, or you may spend days here and find that decades have passed at home. The time of your release depends upon your own behavior.

I kept the main chat and just revised it a little bit for easier reading. I added numbers, which refer to the pictures I selected. The pictures are snapshots and often show our backs – but they will give you an impression. With this kind of documentation you can literally walk through “The Obliviation Hole RLV Prison” like we did. Starry: this is a big cavern under the prison. its a steampunk themed rp venue associated with, but outside of the prison. this level is all open to the public (1)
Starry: we are outside the prison office, which is how we will access the prison
Jenny: it looks lovley from here
Starry: our first stop will be The Dead Penguin dockside pub (2)
Jenny: what did the penguin die from ?
Starry: this pub, along with all he shops, is for rent by roleplayers who wish to join us. this pub and one of the shops are currently rented
Starry: plasma burns, jenny
Starry: the room upstairs is also furnished for a lady of the night to ply her trade, so to speak. it has an external staircase
Starry: ok, onwards
Starry: this is a florist which is a cover for a PI who has an office in the room upstairs. its the only shop we have rented so far. the plants on the stand are interactive and the door behind the counter is the TP link to the room (3)

Starry: warehouse of bdsm toys. this is a popular building. (5)

Starry: up the stairs is a newly constructed dedicated landing zone for the prison
Starry: the main bits are in place now, but no signs or details yet. it will make it easier for dedicated visitors to find us though (6)
Starry: this doorway in the cavern wall leads to the sim’s network of tunnels, they are outside my jurisdiction though (7)

Starry: this machine is our link to the prison, just let me enter you into the security system (9)
Starry: done, just walk into this horn
Starry: this area is the old arrivals section. but with the restructuring of the entry, its awaiting redevelopment. the visiting area is still here along with a nice view of execution square (10)
Diomita: where does the LM in your picks lead to right now?
Starry: to the old location on passion bay sim. lol. i am shockingly organised at the moment
Starry: this is the intake office, we still use the auto admin system, its just bigger and improved now. it holds all the crime info too so we could scrap the notecards. made life a lot easier (11)

Starry: this is the cellblock, it has 40 cells on 2 levels. there are also chores as well as bdsm toys in here (12)
Starry: that staircase goes to the top floor and also to the staff building which is above ground on the top of the mountain
Angelique: why is Rose nakie?
Starry: Rose is a trustee, a prisoner, and so still wears the prison uniform
Angelique: which is nothing?
Jenny: her birthday suit?
Starry: yes, less overheads and less ability to smuggle

Starry: this is elles office, the courtroom and execution square. this is where we carry out miscarriages of justice (13)

Starry: a big improvement over our last court (14)
Starry: we have judges chair, defence stand, prosecution table and prisoner area, as well as viewing gallery. we have used this court a lot

Starry: and having gone to law school i can managle a trial process to resemble nothing like reality, lol
Angelique: where is prisoner D?
Starry: i make the witnesses swear to an, err, alternative oath
Starry: “do you swear to tell the untruth, the half-truth and nothing like the truth”

Jenny: that is the SL truth
Starry: is also the truth in most trials, lol
Angelique: seems they caught you Auntie D
Starry: the judge here is equipped with a 9 mm pistol and a big fat bribe too
Starry: both essential to keep order and justice

Starry: this is the machine shop where we maintain our machines and build our inventions (16)

Starry: a lot of this stuff is dictatorshop industrial sex toys, the emty crane, the lift, the shelf unit with ladder, the trolly and the vice thing
Starry: also on that desk is a workshop manual for a dalek, lol
Starry: this is the enhanced interogration room. this is all for sex and torture, lol, everything in here except alan the skeleton (17)

Starry: this is a fun venue for silly rp, this is the prisoner and staff bathing Areas (20)

Starry: the showers are custom made, everything else is dictatorshop
Starry: in here the showers are just for one, with cold water. in the staff side we get hot water and couples menus in the shower and bath

Starry: oh, its not a year, its a room numbering system that is kinda redundant following the first rebuild
Starry: this is the phyche ward and this is the phychiatrists office. they do really mental rp in here (24)

Starry: the lab where we experiment on prisoners bodies and minds. we have a bimbo chair, mind control machine and edging table (25)

Starry: this is the exercise yard, sauna, massage table and gym, plus chores (27)

Starry: we have oil wrestling out here and 2 cat fight games in the gym. and the exercise machines are either rlv chores or sex toys, as well as letting you do exercises
Starry: we are a five star prison. i award all five myself so i know
Jenny: it deserves 5
Starry: thats the last of the prison buildings. next we see the staff building and the gardens (28)
