Following Inara Pey’s blogpost “The waters of Blaylock Island in Second Life” I visited Blaylock Island, where peaceful water flow. This moderate homestead is owned and designed by Jaccy (Jaccaranda Jael) with the support of Magenta Silverfall and Tira Langur (Tira Yalin).
Close to the landing point is an inviting sign: “Welcome dear visitor. Everybody is welcome to explore our sim. Find our sealgroup near the ocean, wander trough the rainforest up to the hill, take a boat to feel the swamp … just have a great day. greetings Jaccy, Magy and Tira”
Blaylock Island has a beautiful and varied design. Close and around the landing point you can enjoy the view on the sea of watch seals and seagulls. If you turn and look to the other side, there’re tall rocks with quite some waterfalls and a lot of vegetation – a rainforest.
The rainforest is fun to explore. I climbed up the stairs to one mountain, from where a zip line leads back to the beach and of course I tried the ride. I also found a rope that you can use to cross a bay. That was fun, although I really wasn’t dressed for it, but Second Life allows that *winks*
Of course it rains in the rainforest but there’re enough places to retreat under a roof or a rock and to sit dry and cosy. Apropos sitting, there are innumberable places to sit and cuddle at Baylock Island.
The two houses and the two houseboats are furnished and decorated with love for the detail. I saw no private and had a look inside. At several spots you can take a boat and use it to explore the Baylock Island by boat, getting a different view.
Blaylock Island is a perfect place to retreat and enjoy the beauty of Second Life, the nature and the peace. I like the design. Thank you Jaccy, Magy and Tira for creating and providing this magic place to the public
