Simploring 2022 (1a) Grauland January 2022

After publishing my post about “Grauland January 2022” (read here) I had a conversation with JimGarand, owner and curator of Grauland. He told me that we both, Inara and I, have missed a part of his newest iteration. I added this part now at the end of my post …

Following Inara Pey’s blog I came across “Grauland” again. Inara just had published a new blogpost about “Grauland“: “Graulands’s tropical beauty in Second Life”
I have visited Grauland in 2019 the first time (read here), three times in 2020 (read here, here and here) and twice in 2021, in April 2021 (read here) and in November 2021 (read here) . And every time it was different. Each redesign was worth a visit, as is this one!

Grauland January 2022 – overview and orientation map

The landing is in a quite big building that is built into the ground. You can walk outside and start your exploring tour. Right in front of the building you can get a jetski and have fun cruising around the island. I for my part went further inside first. Stairs lead you up into a hallway that is illuminated like a red light district and has a few benches to sit on. At the end of the hallway and after a few more steps upstairs you are in a Zen garden. The whole structure of the building is intriguing as you wonder about its purpose. Nonetheles ti fits way better into the environment as one might think on a first glance.

I continue exploring Grauland and walked out of the entrance building to the agglomeration oc concrete blocks. These blocks became quite of an identifying element at Grauland in almost all iterations. Jim like to play with contrete elements and to place them into the landscape using them as a  landmark, as central element of landscaping. The blocks are located above a natural cave the the sea has carved our from the rocks.

Walking over the island is fun, there are plenty opportunities to sit, the palm trees and the vegetation offer nice views. I walked to the residential house that is fully furnished with style, has a lovely sun terrace and a pool and again nice places to sit and hang around either at the house itself or at the gazebo. I went to the beach and tried out some of the places to sit and watch the time pass by – very relaxing and enjoyable.

But there’s more to see and I’m not sure if I really saw all. The telephone booth at the beach with the single lamppost  is for sure outstanding. Birds have occupied it. And of course it makes no sense there, that’s the art – to place something and unexpected into the beach environment. The shark signs at the beach conjured a smile on my face. I saw all the empty inflatable mattresses on the sea and asked myself if the visitors have become shark food. Funny!

What I missed during my fist visit was that the empty inflatable mattresses actually are a hint that the sun bathing visitors had become shark food. Good news is, that in Second Life you survive even being eaten by a shark *winks*. I returned yesterday for a second short visit….

A second visit to Grauland January 2022

I swam farther out in the bay and dived. There’s a quite colourful underwater world to be seen. And of course quite some sharks swim around peacefully, they must be sated. In the ship wreck I found a room with a bed, but I had not enough oxygen with me for a sleepover. So when you visit Grauland, don’t miss the sharks!

JimGarand has once again re-invented Grauland and has returned to a design that reminds more of the former iterations of Grauland. It feels warm and sunny (great when it is grey and cold outside in RL) and offers great places to sit, fun activities (the jetski), art, wit and sharks. I enjoyed my visit again. Thank you Jim.

Diary 2022 (2) January 3rd/4th Remodelling our home has begun

Monday, January 3rd, I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon. I had already begun with taking down our Christmas decoration but I didn’t take down our Christmas gazebo so that we could have our last dance for the season. After the dance we continued together cleaning up our island. When we were done I asked Mistress to visit a club to relax after the work – and I asked her to take my leash. She granted it… but not just this, she locked my arms behind, she gagged and blindfolded me. This way I could fully immerse in my sub world. Thank you, Mistress. We visited Heavy Bondage Club and club DeLust.

Mistress had to leave to tend to her RL and slave Holly had come inworld. I went seeing her and gave her our New Year present and watched her adjusting it – it is a jaw blocker with a nose ring. It looks great! I was very satisfied with its look and looked forward to Mistress’ comment later.

At night I moved our house and all furniture on a platform first. Mistress and I plan to refurbish our sim a bit. When Mistress Jenny came inworld this work was done. Flo and slave Holly were inworld and hence we played a skipee as teams. It was nice watching the game for me (I had bad cards). After the game we took Flo and Holly to Carnal Intentions to expose them in their new gear for this month, slave Holly with her jaw blocker and nose hook and Flo with her new hood.
After Flo had left for bed, Mistress and I went on to Psi’s realm where Lucy (MissLucyWales) joined us for a short while.

Tuesday, January 4th, Mistress Jenny and I spent our time in the afternoon with remodelling our home. It was just the start. I had moved the our house and most of the part around of the (old) house on a platform. That afternoon we rezzed the new house and adjusted the land around it. We had to make changes. The hidden pit in front of our old house as well as the trap door entrance to our dungeon had to be removed. I might built another 2nd entrance to our dungeon later. We also had to build a new walkway. The house is placed now and now the detail work can begin.
Just as we wnted to leave, slave Holly came inworld and we said hello to her and moved her “room” close to the new house. But then our time was really over and we had to leave to tend to our RL (no pictures of that afternoon, we were to busy for that).

At night Mistress and I continued a bit with building while Flo won one game after the other playing skipee against her. When slave Holly came back inworld we joined Flo and played a skipee as teams. slave Holly and I won the close game against Mistress and Flo. It was already late and Flo left for bed after the game. We took slave Holly to Carnal Intentions for half an hour and I had fun tieing her up a bit (much).

Diary 2022 (1) January 1st/2nd Welcome 2022

Saturday, January 1st, I went online in the later morning. Mistress Jenny was present as well as our Kitty. I could see that Mistress was visiting Kitty in space at Penumbra Station http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Harzer/105/124/2890. Seconds later I got a taxi. It was great to see our Kitty again and to chat and to wish her a great new year in person. She has been quite a while in the space now and we will get her back to earth soon.
Mistress and I went home and talked a bit and relaxed, then we visited Puerto Esclava before we both went offline and tended to our RL.

In the afternoon Mistress and I had another 2 hours together that we spent just talking and watching at Heavy bondage Club and club Domme a Domme. Nothing happened, nathing to report.

And at night we had our first party of 2022 – as we didn’t dance and celebrate on Friday night. A great start into the new year.

Sunday, January 2nd, I went inworld in the earlier morning with the intention to visit a gallery. To my surprise Mistress Jenny came inworld just at the very same moment – and she was in quite a dominant mood. She asked me to wear cuffs, locked them behind my back, leashed me and took me with her to visit our Kitty in space at Penumbra Station http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Harzer/105/124/2890. We didn’t stay long though, just said hello to our Kitty. Mistress intends to break her free from there soon.
Mistress took me to Dark Butterfly where we caught up with our mutual news, we went to Puerto Esclava and to club Dommea Domme. Mistress let me feel her power, it was overwhelming. We had just half an hour together this earlier morning, but it was more than enough time to sink a bit deeper in my submission to Mistress.

After Mistress had left to tend to her RL I went visiting a gallery before I had to leave myself.

When we met in the afternoon, Mistress took me to her chair and allowed me to lick her. I was really eager to lick her nad to get my fix. After that morning, i craved to please her. And I got my fix and it had the expected effect on me. Mistress dressed again, locked my arms on my back and took me wit club Domme a Domme where I knelt by her feet. She had a conversation with one of the other guests who praised Mistress for tunring the tabls and how well she had educated me. While I am proud to be Mistress Jenny’s married slave, it is also still embarrasing to admit that I was broken by my former slave – even if that was many years ago. Mistress was still in a dominant mood and began to restrict me, taking touch and later also names. She went to club DeLust with me and made me sit on a kneelpad opposed to her chair. Then she teleported the woman, who had praised her at club Domme a Domme, to her and stroked her head. It was quite degrading for me on one side, on the other side I enjoyed my submission to Mistress Jenny and proving it publicly.
Mistress took me shortly to Heavy Bondage Club and to Puerto Esclava, then I had to tend to my RL.

Later I had the opportunity for a visit to Cica Ghost’s Funday (read here https://wp.me/psPPu-7Gh), that was real fun once again.

Our night began with a skipee together with Flo, very relaxing after the events of that 2nd day of 2022. While we played slave Melissa came inworld. We went to Carnal Intentions after the game and stayed there for almost an hour, the we went off to bed early.

Art in Second Life 2022 (8) The secret life of mannequins and birds by Mrs. S.

I visited the latest exhibition at DixMix Gallery, that opened January 15th: “The secret life of mannequins and birds” by Mrs. S.

Mrs. S. (lauralar) wrote about her exhibtion in the accompanying notecard:
“One of the first objects I used to make installations were mannequins. I found them at Kowloon. The concept ‘Travelling mannequins’ (2009) was about mannequins visiting sims like Furillen and Poetik or places, like a swimmingpool, castle and mountains. Now they are back in the Winterretraite.
Art is a big part in my life, it’s one of my dreams to have a huge wall in my house filled with art. As we all know, anything is possible in Second Life, so I made an art wall with some of my favorites and some of my own. It can be seen at the Birdhouse.
Birds have always fascinated me, it’s why I like to combine them with other objects. Thanks to great designers like Keke, Vespertine, Dust Bunny and so many more it’s possible to make stories with their items.
Some of the stories can be seen in the Birdhouse.
The Birdhouse and Winterretraite can be visited after the opening at Dixmix Gallery.
I hope you enjoy the exhibition as much as I enjoyed making it.
Mrs. S. (lauralar)“

Mrs. S. (lauralar) is in Secondlife since 2012. She is on observer, photographer and decorator. The exibhition compromises 10 pictures, pictures of birds and other whimsical objects, pictures of her wall of art. Each picture has a name – and the name is exactly what you see. That made me smile. The four examples that I selected as an appetizer for you to visit the exhibtion are called: Not a party pooper, Wintermannequins, Treasures on the wall, Phalacrocoracidae on a chair

I went to the Birdhouse and the Winterretraite after visiting the exhibtion. Mrs. S. (lauralar) has her wall of art there and all the birds and whimsical objects that you can also see at the exhibtion – and more! It is a house full of art and details to discover. The exhibition was the perfect teaser to go there.

Diary 2021 (179) December 30th/31st Bye bye 2021

Thursday, December 30th, Mistress Jenny was not inworld during the day. I spent quite some time online in the afternoon, I often idled for longer times – nothing happened, no real roleplay. Most people who I know were either absent or just leaving. I could enjoy roaming nonetheless. It’s fine to be inworld alone sometimes. And I wasn’t in the mood for simploring. So nothing to report for the diary – and no pictures.

At night we had a full house. We, Mistress Jenny, Angelique, Flo, slave Alessi and I played a skipee first and Mistress and I caught up with our mutual news while playing. After the game we all went to Carnal Intentions where slave Holly joined us soon after we arrived there. we spent a relaxed time at Carnal Intentions, just chatting among us and watching.

Friday, December 31st, Mistress and I had two hours in the afternoon just for us. First we exchanged our mutual news at home. And alreday here I got a tiny foretaste about small but important things between us that might change next year. While we talked, Mistress kept me in the bond pose. And I had to fill her in about a short session that I had the night before with another domme after Mistress hat left for bed. And before we met that afternoon, I met someone who lives just 2 blocks from our loft, a neighbour of us so to speak. Quite an impressive person, that was fun.

We went to Puerto Esclava where I knelt by Mistress feet while she was talking with a dom, who made compliments to her and how she educated her slave (me *winks*). We went to Heavy Bondage Club, where Mistress saw a woman wearing nice pencil skirt from one of our favourite stores and we went shopping next. Mistress got the skirt from me as a New Year gift – and I got a dress (to be worn in green, pink and purple) from her. Our last stop was club DeLust where I changed into me new dress. Mistress loves me in pink. We had a lovely time together, just the right thing to do at the end of a year that was quite a challenge for all of us in our RL.

I was inworld again late night, before my midnight and slave Holly was present. We first talked and caught up with our news in the house, thene we moved to our Christmas gazebo and danced. Mistress Jenny joined us there. I was absent while the new year arrived for me and Mistress danced with Holly. After my return I danced with Mistress, then we all moved to club DeLust and stayed there until Mistress Jenny was in 2022 as well. We had a nice end of the year, we were ready for 2022.

Art in Second Life 2022 (7) Gem Preiz’ fractal exhibition at Elven Falls Art Collective Gallery 1

On Thursday, January 13th, I got an invitation from Gem Preiz to visit his current exhibtion of fractals at Elven Falls Art Collective Gallery 1. It has been a while that I saw Gem’s art the last time at the Borderless project (read here).

Gem Preiz “is educated in science and mathematics and is fond of anything related to Nature, Cosmos and Earth, from astronomy to geology. The world of fractals is, in the same way, ruled by Mathematics functions which, as Physics do in Nature, enable to create objects which features repeat themselves at every scale. There lies his passion for fractals: create thanks to the power and pureness of the Mathematical concept, images the complexity of which can suggest Nature beings, objects or sceneries.” (excerpt from the notecard that you can grab at the exhibition)

The exhibition extends over two floors and 6 rooms and gives a broad overview of Gem’s art and the world of fractals. Gem has placed boards in each room which provide some background information about the art in the rooms and I used the text of the boards for this post.

Self-Repetitiveness: The shapes of nature seem to repeat themselves at all scales, giving the illusion of being able to explain the whole by understanding on a fraction. Fractal objects have the same prperty. There lies thair ability to evoke Nature, though without providing its keys.

Artefacts: Self-repetitiveness and complexity are also found in the creations of Man, often themselves inspired by Nature. Architecture, urbanism, technology are all areas where they seem to govern our creations, and provide me with the theme of same frames.

Complexity: The Universe is huge and extraordinairy complex. We are only a tiny portion of it but have the ability to observe, analyze and understand it. This difference of scale gives kind of vertigo that I try to make feel through the complexity of the pattern that I stage.

Fractals and SL: How to bring all this complexity inworld, while the textures enable only to transfer little data (1 Mb)? By uploading my images in pieces, then glued precisely on SL. Thus, visitors capture more details as they zoom, instead of seeing the image become blurred.

You can see this effect as Gem Preiz’ pictures build up from pieces when the textures rezz. If you don’t see Gem’s pictures, just wait a few moments, it takes some time to load the pieces of which they are built.

Abstractions: Man’s intelligence is intimately associated with his ability to invent, and therefore to imagine. Fractals, by their complexity and the richness of patterns provide a priviliged field of abstraction for the imagination, as Rorschach images do.

Gem Preiz write about himeself: “To try to evoke the world through images is also to try to tell stories. That’s what I’ve been trying to do for the last eight years, through 30 exhibitions I’ve done.”

Elven Falls Art Collective consists of 4 double floored galleries, 6 stores plus a huge sculpture park which is also available to exhibit larger works. Elven Falls Art Collective is owned and curted by Ant (antoinemambazo), Aires Hax is managing the gallery. I haven’t come across this space for the art so far – there’s a lot to see and I hope to find time to come back soon. Thank you Ant (antoinemambazo) for providing space for the art! I enjoyed my visit.

Thank you Gem for another great exhibition of your art. I look forward to see more of it.

Diary 2021 (178) December 28th/29th Quiet days “between the years”

Tuesday, December 28th, I went inworld in the morning and to my surprise Mistress Jenny had alsojust logged in. we went to club Domme a Domme together where Mistress played with her new toy, my nosering, I can’t tocuh it, hence I don’t know the settings of it. We moved on to Heavy Bondage Club and met with a friend of Mistress Jenny, someone she has played with before. The friend tried out the new toy as well and Mistress Jenny was satisfied with the limitations her friend had in using it. Yet still …. I felt quite vulnerable. When Mistress Jenny had to leave, I left also and tended to my RL.

December 28th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at club Domme a Domme and at Heavy Bondage Club with a friend of Mistress Jenny

Mistress Jenny and I had a quiet afternoon enjoying time together, chatting and talking about plans and about our newly balanced relation. We were at club Domme a Domme again, at Heavy Bondage Club and at Puerto Esclave and we were about to leave and to tend to our RL again, when slave Holly came inworld after her Christmas break. She had wrapped herself as a gift, something Mistress Jenny had done for me more than a decade ago. That was a funny surprise present. Thank you, slave Holly.

December 28th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at club Domme a Domme, at Heavy Bondage Club and at Puerto Esclava / my Christmas present – slave Holly in the box

At night Flo was present. As we expected slave Holly, we decided to go to Carnal Intentions first with her. slaev Alessi joined us there. We returned home when Holly came inworld and played a skipee with 5 – Mistress Jenny, Flo, Holly, Alessi and I. Flo and Alessie went off to bed after the game. And while we stood by the game table, Argi showed up to say hello and bring her belated Christmas wishes. As always with Argi, time ran by quickly. It was already close to midnight when Mistress, slave Holly and I went to Carnal Intentions and chatted a bit with slave Holly, who would be travelling again the next days. Those days are alway busy in RL.

Tuesday, December 29th, Mistress jenny was not inworld during the day due to her RL. I had a busy morning in RL, but quite some time in the afternoon. I roamed around, tried to find some trouble … and I was shopping. If none is around and no roleplay develops, then shopping is always a nice alternative *winks.

My night began with a round of skipee with Flo. It was a long and close game, hence fun. When we just had finished, slave Melissa came inworld. I took her to get the hairbase with the slave cut out, then Flo, Melissa and I went to Carnal Intentions where slave Alessi joined us. I spent most of the night in IM with slave Melissa trying to get the hairbase working with her bento head. But I was not familiar with her head… and that made it difficult. We could not slove it that night. After Flo and slave Melissa had went off to bed, I stayed with slave Alesi at Carnal Intentions and late night Mistress Jenny joined us there.

I got an invitation from Nils Urqhart to see his newest exhibition at Love&Love Art Gallery, that opened Monday, January 10th.

This time Nils presents new Real Life photographs pictures. He named the exhibition “Mineral World”. It is a world of stones, rocks, scree, stone arches, some grass and sometimes a few trees.

The exhibition comprises about 20 pictures, all taken originally in the French Alpes. They show a meagre mountain world. Although none of Nils’ pictures is a close-up picture, there are a few where you have to look twice to recognise that it is a landscape and not an close-up or abstract picture. what is missing is the third dimenison, that you get when you see a shadow like in the picture that Nils selected for the exhibition poster (my favourite picture of this exhibition). All pictures shown at Love&Love Art Gallery can be purchased at the exhibition.

Nils Urqhart (Paul Maurice in RL) is a French photographer in RL. He takes his photos mainly in French Alps and other French mountains (Vosges, Jura, Bugey, Aubrac…). Nils has a lot of exhibitions in different SL galleries every year. Nils is in SL since December 2007. Since 2010, his photos have been on display year-round at Art gallery Rill’Arts. Nils (or Paul in RL) has an own website where you can purchase his pictures to decorate you RL home.

Nils Urqhart is the creator of the RL Photo Festival Helvellyn, the Helvellyn Christmas Market and the Helvellyn Summer Fair – all three are annual artistic events. He also provided quite a list of potential contact opportunities besides his webpage: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

I like Nils Urqhart (Paul Maurice) RL pictures. They are kind of a connection element between RL and SL. With “Mineral World” you visit a “real” exhibtion in a virtual environment – and all safe without any restrictions *winks*. Thank you Nils for another great exhibition

Diary 2021 (177) December 26th/27th Changes ahead

Sunday, December 26th, I was inowrld several times during the day. In the early morning, Kitty was present and I got a blocked IM from her. I went to Penumbra Station where our Kitty lives (quite restricted though). I could cam to her as she was quite close, but no in chat distance, but in shout distance. I shouted my “Merry Christmas” to her, but she didn’t answer. Obviously she was a bit “fucked up” …. and not focused on the chat. Anyway she didn’t hear me, she just sent another blocked IM.

I tended to my RL again and returned in the later morning. I could meet with Mistress Jenny for just a short time. We stayed at Puerto Esclava and just caught up with our mutual news before Mistress had to leave to tend to her RL. I went offline a few minutes later.
After lunch I roamed a bit and visited our usual places, then I stayed at Puerto Esclava, turned my attention to my RL and forgot to log off. When I returned to my keyboard in the later afternoon at the time I expected Mistress Jenny, Mistress was already there and next to me. We stayed at Puerto Esclava and made plans for the next year. Amoung other more personal things between us, I told Mistress about a house that I saw a few month ago and that caught my attention and that I considered to build it on our island instead of our main house.
We went seeing the house and Mistress loved it – just like I did. We went home and had a look how it might fit. I will fit – and Mistress and I made plans for a little refurbishment of our island in 2022 before we went offline again.

December 26th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Esclava / looking at a potential new house / Kitty literally fucked

At night I had a skipee with Flo first and when we had finished, Mistress Jenny, Alessi and Angelique were present. Angelique just said hello before she left for bed. Mistress, Flo, Alessi and I played a skipee together. I was busy in IM while playing. Firstly I had Melissa (MelissaRLV) in IM. Melissa hadn’t been inworld for more than 6 months. We had released her (offline) already a few month ago. She told me and Mistress Jenny in IM that she is recovering from some severe Rl issues. Melissa went off again 30 minutes later. Secondly I had a pushy slave in IM who desired to be enslaved a few hours before, when I just ahd to leave to tend to my RL … and now was complaining that I was busy. I am too nice and didn’t stop this conversation early enough….. By the way, Mistress Jenny and Alessi won the game.

December 26th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Carnal Intenions with Flo, slave Alessi and Molly

It was almost Flo’s bed time when we had finished our game. We went to Carnal Intentions where it was quite full, so we had something to look at. And we stayed there with Alessi when Flo had left. Molly (SubbyMolly) joined us and spent some time kneeling next to me and decorating us.
So much to report in here for a day where almost nothing really happened *winks*.

Monday, December 27th, I met Mistress Jenny several times. First shortly in the morning, when we visited Puerto Esclava together for a few minutes before Mistress and I returned into RL. And then in the afternoon we spent time at Carnal Intentions and at Heavy Bondage Club. We talked a lot about the next year and changes to come also between us as Mistress is taking more control over me. It is an exciting thought, yet also frightening me. But I hardly can change anything. With all of our chat I forgot to take pictures, so I have just one from the morning showing us at Puerto Esclava.
I stayed a bit longer inworld in the afternoon after Mistress Jenny had left and spent time at Carnal Intentions. Nothing happened and I was most of the time doing other things in RL. Just before I had really to leave and to tend to my RL again, I had a promising chat with another switch woman, probably someone to get to know more. We will see.

December 27th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Esclava and at Psi’s realm with Flo, slave Melissa and slave Alessi

At night we first played two weired rounds of skipee with Flo. Msitress Jenny won the first one with lots of jokers, I wan the second one with lots of jokers. Games that are that easy are less fun. While we played slave melissa came inworld again. We wento to Psi’s realm where I had left her more than half a year ago. I released most of her restrictions that night, this way she may roam and slowly ease back in with us. Flo had to leave to tend to her RL and Alessi and later Lucy (MissLucyWales) joined us. We had a relaxed night with a lot of chatting and with a lot to watch at Psi’s realm.

Mistress and I retreated home to our loft skybox early and there I got my fix first licking Mistress. Full with Mistress’ sweet poison, Mistress asked me if I wanted my heavy slave collar and I asked for it. There wouldn’t be a red light anymore as the collar will not go off often if at all and it even will stay on during green lights. But that is not the only change resulting from the long conversations Mistress and I had that day and the days before. Mistress locked a tiny nosering on me, a ring that I won’t be able to touch or remove or control. It’s a symbol that I lost the last bit of control – as Mistress Jenny’s Ehesklavin … Mistress took me over my last limit.
