Diary 2021 (107) August 12th/13th slave Holly and slave Faye

Thursday, August 13th, I went inworld after lunch. I got a picture from slave Holly that she took the night before when she cleaned Mistress Jenny’s and my boots under the greedy table. It’s a quite good picture and hence I share it here, thank you slave Holly.

slave Faye came inworld soon after I had began to roam around a bit. I returned home and took her to our dungeon. She had to strip and then I fixed her on the whipping post and tried out different tools on her: the flogger, the paddle, the cane and the whip. I can tell that slave Faye enjoyed it – and I enjoyed it too. Unfortunately, slave Faye’s spanker doesn’t leave any marks and I asked slave Faye to get the spanker that slave Holly wears for us. That keeps the whipping marks for two days (with slave Holly’s settings). Furtheron I wanted a dress with exposed butt for slave Faye so that she can wear the marks with pride. I was about to take her out to KaS to get her an hobble dress, when Mistress Jenny logged in. She was not at home but visiting her family and would be around erratically the next days.
Mistress and I took slave Faye to KaS and she got the hobble dress and we watched her fitting it at home. Then Mistress Jenny had to leave to her RL and for me it was about time to tend to my RL as well.

August 12th: Diomita and slave Faye at home in our dungeon

I had an entertaining, varied night. First I played a skipee with Flo (Flo won), then I took Flo with me to Carnal Intentions. Soon after we arrived there, slave Holly came inworld and I summoned her to us … and slave Faye joined us soon after. I had fun teasing all three, with several restrictions, gags, blindfolds and such. Flo had to leave though to further recover.

I tested the ass spankers and coloured the slave’s bums and I enjoyed. After quite some time I decided to move on with the slaves and I took them to Psi’s realm where I could rezz a piece of furniture, a dual slave post.

Friday, August 13th, I had a quite busy day in RL. But I managed to get inworld several times during the day. slave Holly sent me a note and reported to me that the ass spanker has a setting for “whip, paddle, flogger, cane, …” and that this was the reason why her and Faye’s spanker looked that much different. There’s always something to learn *winks*. I roamed over the clubs, had a few chats – and I had a short good roleplay (no pictures). That was fun.
At night I was early and spent some time at Puerto Esclava. When slave Holly came inworld, I summoned her to me and we stayed at Puerto Esclava until we had to return home for the Friday night party.

The day before Mistress had proposed ot have a simple theme for our party and I had no better idea: “It’s Friday and we start into our weekend. Due to Covid many of us are taking holidays at home so wear your holiday finest and come to dance with us and to have fun, DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes“.
Of course we had fun as every Friday. Mistress Jenny joined us which was an extra bonus for me as we could catch up with our mutal news while dancing. It was also a particular night for slave holly, who is rarely inworld on weekends.

Art in Second Life 2021 (78) Conjure by Bamboo Barnes

I visited the exhibition “Conjure” by Bamboo Barnes on the 2nd floor of the FOCUS Magazine F.A.I.R Gallery.

In her exhibtion “Conjure” Bammboo features about 10 different pictures on the 4 walls of the exhibition room. Each wall has a different focus. On one wall Bamboo plays with different presentations of one and the same portrait of a woman. The 3 pictures are framed in different colours. Above the picture Bamboo placed several additional frames erratically and these frames change their colour permanently. Watching the changes the 3 pictures do look different and the expression of them change. It’s quite intriguing. One wall is used for just one big abstract picture with a female portrait in the background shining through, colorful as all of Bamboo’s pictures are.

Bamboo has designed a collage of her pictures on another wall. Three female portraits, along with frames and coloured squares. You can see her specific style as the pictures seem to consist of several layers printed which tampers the original portrait. It is still recognizable, but you have to immerse into the picture and add what you can’t see.

The last wall features three pictures, again female portraits party highly tampered, resulting in a mixture of a portrait and an abstract painting. Finally there’s also something to watch in the center of the exhibtion room, 4 red vertical tubes – a female portrait sliding over the surface and vanishing.

Once again Bamboo’s pictures facinate with their colours and the playful mixture of styles and techniques. Yet, Bamboo’s signature is recognizable in every picture.

Bamboo is in Second Life for over 14 years already, painting software & photoshop are her best friends. Bamboo had many exhibtions and appearances in the Second Life art scene and in 2018 she had her first exhibition in real life: “I create what I see but maybe you won’t, they are about people’s reality and  mind.” Bamboo’s art is a mixture of abstract forms, of people and photographs. Most pictures are colourful and it is in the eye of the beholder what we see in her pictures. I myself saw her work the first time at La Maison d’Aneli during the Holiday season 2019/2020 (read here). I also saw her exhibition “Marginal Mannerism” at DixMixGallery in April 2021 (read here) and the exhibition “Meant to be” at Itakos Art Gallery last year (read here). And I had a look at her flickr page.

Thank you all who enabled this exhibtion. I enjoyed my visit and seeing Bamboo’s art. The exhibition “Conjure” by Bamboo Barnes shall stay open until End of August.

Diary 2021 (106) August 10th/11th Two quiet days with the slaves

On Tuesday, August 10th, I was a bit early for my meeting with Mistress Jenny and I tried to change my appearance a bit, the make-up and the hairstyle – and I changed into something latex again. I don’t know it the desired effect, looking a bit more strict and arrogant, was achieved, but Mistress told me sh’d like it. We went to Heavy Bondage Club where we caught up with our news, then Mistress was interrupted and logged off. I went to club DeLust where Mistress joined me later again. Faye was inworld and we summoned her to us. We intend to take her a bit closer to us and to push her a bit deeper into submission to us. And while we talked, I forgot to take any picture.
Our time together was up quickly again and Mistress and I we both had to tend to our RL again.

August 10th: Diomita’s slightly changed look / Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Heavy Bondage Club

Our night began quiet. Flo was present and we went to see her. She was playing skipee but for a strange reason the game was stuck. Flo needs still to recover and hence we just played a greedy with her, then she retreated to bed. Faye was present in the meanwhile and we gave a just a few orders. I restricted her view, then we went to Puerto Esclava. Faye had now idea where we were and she just coudl feel (see on her radar window) that there were quite a bunch of people. Soon after we had arrived slave Holly came inworld as well and we summoned her to us. We spent almost an hour at Puerto esclava, teasing the slaves and chatting with them and amoung us.

We returned home early, said good night to the slaves and retreated to our skybox where Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix before we went to bed ourselves. Thank you, Mistress Jenny!

August 10th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at home

Mistress and I spent 2 hours together on Wednesday, August 11th. We roamed through the coub and I was at Mistress side. I admit that it felt almost a bit strange not to kneel but I will get used to it again. We were at Puerto Esclava, club DeLust, Heavy Bondage Club and club Domme a Domme. We read profiels, chatted amount us, and got quite some applications. When we returned home, Mistress said: “We would be very busy if we took all the collar keys that are thrown at us.W

I was inworld early at night and had a nice chat at Heavy Bondage Club. I returned home when Flo came inworld and I first caught up with her, then we played a skipee to make Mistress Jenny come inworld. It worked fine *winks*. Mistress Jenny and slave Faye came inworld and Flo and I stopped playing skipee. Instead we played a greedy all together. And while we played slave Holly came inworld. Faye won the greedy by the way.

Flo went to bed and we took slave Faye and slave Holly to our office. Faye wasn’t taken yet on our desk, time to catch up on that. While slave Holly licked Mistress Jenny and fucked slave Faye …. and then Mistress Jenny and I swapped. That was a good start into the night.

We went to Carnal Intentions for the rest of our night. we chatted, I enjoyed restricting the slaves and Mistress Jenny was a bit distracted by her RL quite some of our time there. Then we went home and to bed.

Art in Second Life 2021 (77) Sybil by Giovanna Cerise

After my blogpost about the Summer exhibtion at La Maison d’Aneli (read here), Giovanna Cerise sent me an invitation for another installation of her: “Sybil by Giovanna Cerise“.

Giovanna Cerise is not unknow to me. Before the visit of the Summer exhibtion at La Maison d’Aneli (read here) I came across her art in May 2019 also at La Maison d’Aneli (read here). I visited Flash Back / Flash Forward in 2017 (read Simploring 2017 (42) Flash Back / Flash Forward), in 2016 I visited her LEA-installation Monochrome (read here) and in April 2015 I saw Otium (read here: A visit to Otium).
Giovanna is an Italian literature teacher and musician. In Second Life she’s active since Ende of 2008 and had many exhibtions and installations. She particpated in the LEA program participations and her list of activities and appearances is long. For more information look up her website.

“Sybil by Giovanna Cerise” is inspired by the ancient figure of the Sibyl. It is set in the cave located in Cuma and rebuilt at Museum Island. According to tradition, the priestess resided in this dark place.
“The sibyls were female prophets or oracles in Ancient Greece. The earliest sibyls, according to legend, prophesied at holy sites. Their prophecies were influenced by divine inspiration from a deity, originally at Delphi and Pessinos. In Late Antiquity, various writers attested to the existence of sibyls in Greece, Italy, the Levant, and Asia Minor.”

Impressions of Sybil by Giovanna Cerise (1) – the tunnel and the oracle

I got a notecard along with the invitatation that explains the background:
“According to the legend, Sibilla was a young girl of superb beauty of Greek origin who possessed great divination skills. One day the God Apollo, struck by her beauty, fell in love with her and to conquer her he promised her that he would fulfill her every wish.
Sybil took a handful of sand from the beach and asked Apollo to let it live as many years as the grains he had collected in his hand. The God satisfied her but the girl made a serious mistake: she forgot to add that she wanted to live the years in eternal youth.
The priestess lived as many years as there were grains of sand enclosed in the palm of her hand, but her body continued to wither and wrinkle year after year, until it faded into dust, eroded – just like the grains of sand – by the merciless flow of the time. Of her, it is said, only her voice and her cryptic predictions survived. Sibyl used to scatter palm leaves on which the words of the prophecy were reported;
It is said that a soldier, having received the sacred response, prepared to recompose the prophecy by assembling the palm leaves scattered by the divine breath. However, when he read the Sybil’s prediction, he noticed its double interpretation, depending on the punctuation:
Ibis, redibis, non morieris in bello – You will go, you will come back, and you will not die in the war – if the comma anticipates the negation; Ibis, redibis non, morieris in bello – You will go, you will not return, and you will die in the war – if instead it is placed after the negation.
The legends around the myth of the Sibyl are different.”

Impressions of Sybil by Giovanna Cerise (2) – the roofed terrace with the soldier

The installation at the Museum Island consists of two connected parts. One part is in a tunnel, which is in a trapezoidal shape and is similar to an artificial tunnel of the greek-roman era. In the tunnel Giovanna has place several complete red figures in different poses. The crawl and they run. They are surrounded by particles, that could be letter or anything else. The light is selected very smart, so that the particles melt together and develop a certain dynamic, as if the figures would run.  Light comes into the tunnel from the left side through several passages. The passages lead to the second part, a roofed terrace where Giovanna has installed more objects.

There is just one cave on the right side of the tunnel. There’s the oracle. A fountain with several coins on the ground. You can click the oracle and get a prophecy. In my case:
“ANTRUM SYBIL – Cumaea Sybil’s Omphalus oracle: You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.“

The roofed terrace features more art objects of Giovanna Cerise, quite hard to describe though. One is clearly dedicated to the soldier, that is mentioned in Giovanna’s notecard. The words from the prophecy (in Italian) appear around a red figure (the soldier) caught in a structure of transparent walls: “Ibis, redibis, non morieris in bello”.
Other objects aremore difficult to interpret, like the hand that holds an hourglass – or like the head encased in a white cloud. Don’t miss looking at the floor, there are traces of blood as well as footprints.

Sybil is a very interesting exhibtion and it uses the possibilities of Second Life and the different light options very well. Please make sure that you use the advanced lighting, the shared environment and sun+moon and projectors in your viewer setting. There’s a board which explains it at one end of the roofed terrace.

I have never been to Museum Island before. In the landmark description you find the tags: “Museum Island Monuments art culture theater romantic Royal Opera music museums cinema beauty couple dance monuments arts exhibitions artist photo pics wedding live roma venezia Italia Italy” The sim hosts mre exhibitions and I might return. The Museum Island is group owned, the founder of the group is John Noone (johnnoone).

Diary 2021 (105) August 8th/9th The end of my red light / Flo is back

Sunday, August 8th, Mistress and I met in the afternoon. We went to Puerto Esclava and to club Domme a Do,,e. First we caught up with our mutual news and I told Mistress about my roleplay the night before. Then Mistress took my leash, which is her sign that I am to kneel next to her. Mistress was preparing me for a next step deeper into my submission to her. I once had thought that wouldn’t be possible, but Mistress proved that it can be. Anyway, I won’t share here what Mistress did and how, yet I will share that I had an exciting hour with Mistress.

August 8th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Esclava and at club Domme a Domme

My night began with a surprise. Cica Ghost had sent me an invitation to her newest installation “Lollipop” (read here https://wp.me/psPPu-7f6, it might be gone already by the time this diary post is published). As Mistress was not around that night, and slave Holly was off for the weekend and no other of the family was present inworld, my night began with a smile that Cica’s installation conjured into im face. And I wrote the post above it on the spot. So most of my night was filled with this activity.

I spent the remaining time that night with Faye at Carnal Intentions. I did restrict her vision and speech so that she was fully focused on me as it should be. And we caught up a bit as I hadn’t seen Faye for a couple of days.

August 8th: Diomita at Carnal Intentions with Faye

It was a varied Sunday in both worlds, with a bit of everything.

Monday, August 9th, Mistress and I met in the afternoon again. Mistress ordered me to her throne in our skybox and made me wear the Venus corset and latex pants. She added a gag and the blindfold and took me to club Domme a Domme. Kneeling at her feet and leashed to the failed domme sign, Mistress and I caught up with our mutual news. Afterwards Mistress blindfolded me and left me alone in the small circle that I could still see. She was around, but I couldn’t see her anymore. Hence i had time to focus – and I did. Faye tried to IM me to report in, but I couldn’t answer her.
After quite some time, Mistress picked me up again, took me with her into the center of the room and took my blindfold and gag off. Faye came by and knelt also at Mistress feet.

August 9th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at club Domme a Domme with Faye

Mistress became quite busy in IM getting application from other subs. But that didn’t hold her back from pushing me further into submission to her. Finally Mistress time was almost up and we returned home, said bye to Faye and retreated to our loft skybox. Mistress pushed me a last time, then took me with her into our lounger. She was very satisfied with me. But she won’t destroy my domme side. It’s enough for her, that she could. Instead she exchanged my slave collar with the sub collar and announced that I may have a green light soon. Thank you Mistress Jenny for the experience! I just hope that Mistress Jenny had enjoyed it as much as I did although I was always a bit scared the last weeks.
From now on I would have a few days to recover.

Our night had a very nice suprise on stock for us. Flo was back! She had spent more time in hospital (RL) than she and we expected and is recovering. We were very happy to have her back with us. After we caught up with her we had a game of skipee together. And while we played first slave Holly, then faye came inworld and watched. Flo left to recover after the game and Mistress Jenny, slave Holly, Faye and I went to Carnal Intentions.

We spent the rest of our night at Carnal Intentions. slave Holly became my chair and enjoyed the view she had from there. And later Claire (eroticlaire) joined us as well. Time went by quickly chatting mostly amoung us and a little bit in main.

Art in Second Life 2021 (76) Tough Man by Hilaire Beaumont

Dido Haas invited me to visit the August exhibition at Nitroglobus Roof gallery: “Tough Man” by Hilaire Beaumont.

Dido Haas presents Hilaire Beaumont, an artist who is once again almost unbeknownst to me. I saw one picture of Hilaire so far. it was exhibited at Valium SL – Hermosa in January 2021 (read here). And Dido wrote: “Until now only existing flickr works of Hilaire were shown at a few galleries”. At the August exhibtion new artwork from Hilaire Beaumont is shown, The title and the pictures speak for themselves – Tough Man.


Hilaire Beaumont is in Second Life for 14 years. His profile doesn’t give away much of him. I suspect he’s French as he used a quote in his profile: “La mélancolie, c’est le bonheur d’être triste” (Melancholy is the joy of being sad) and at his exhibition at Nitroglobus Roof gallery you find a quite similar quote of Victor Hugo “La nostalgie, c’est le bonheur d’être triste” (Nostalgia is the joy of being sad).

The exhibtion consits of 13 pictures. And at this gallery the pictures can develop strength as they are mirrored on the floor. What are the pictures about? Not surprise, they all show a tough man as the main object. Hilaire shows his avatar (?) as a fighter, as a soldier in varoius epochs, as strong tough man. Other pictures are in our epoch and just show the tough man, not a soldier or fighter.
But there’s also some wit: one picture shows him wearing a gun pointing at a little angel with a bow. But Hilaire also shows the other, softer side. The side that a tough man tries to hide as it doesn’t fit to the cliché: playing a violin, or listening music while looking out into the nature last in thoughts.

“Tough Man” by Hilaire Beaumont is the kind of exhibtion you rarely see in Second Life. The pictures are impressive and thoughtfully made and selected. Thank you for your art, Hilaire.

Nitroglobus Roof Gallery is owned and curated by Dido Haas. It is a great exhibtion space, the mirroring effect of the floor adds a lot to the experience of a visit and higlights the art in a particular way.

Diary 2021 (104) August 6th/7th Casual Friday

Friday, August 6th, started with a roleplay for me when I got inworld during the morning. That came unexpected for me and was a nice start. The rest of the day I was inworld erratically, but besides some chats, no more scene or anything to report in here (and no pictures). Just that I visited another gallery in the afternoon.

At night we had our regular party. Mistress had the idea to make it a casual Friday: “It’s Friday again and it’s the vacation season. So let’s have a dress down Friday, a casual Friday …or come as you are to our Friday night party. Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.“

And of course we had fun as every Friday….

After the party I went roaming and to my surprise I had another roleplay – and that kept me awake far longer than I had planned.

Saturday, August 7th, I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon. We went to Heavy Bondage Club. As I had quite something to talk about with Mistress, our time flew by quickly. It took almost an hour just to catch up. Mistress had met Kitty in the morning and she made a picture of herself with Kitty.
Then I asked Mistress to take my leash and she accepted it immediately. Kneeling at her feet she began to restrict me and to enjoy her power – and I just watch her and sank deeper in my submission to Mistress Jenny. In the end it became a very exciting afternoon, at least for me. We returned home when Mistress had to leave to tend to her RL.

My Saturday night was quite different from usual nights. As Mistress was off due to her RL I spent the night alone. slave Holly was away for the weekend, Flo had not returned yet, Faye was absent ….
I roamed a bit. And yes I admit I searched for trouble and I found it. For almost 2 hours I had a roleplay. It was slow but not bad. Nothing to repeat, but entertaining. When i was done with it I made a last round through the clubs before I went to bed (no pictures of that night).

The Slenderman? I looked him up on wikipedia: “The Slender Man (also spelled Slenderman) is a fictional supernatural character that originated as a creepypasta Internet meme created by Something Awful forum user Eric Knudsen (also known as “Victor Surge”) in 2009” (source wikipedia).
I also read Inara Pey’s post “The Slender man gets arty (and more) in Bellisseria” and I recommend to read this post before visiting. Inara summarized the background very well. Hence I won’t go into more details about the Slender man here anymore.

The parcel is owned by Mouse Mysterious and the parcel’s group was founded by Bellisseria Slenderman (Slenderman Bellisserian). But you can’t communicate with Bellisseria Slenderman, all communication go through his spokesmouse Mouse Mysterious *winks*

The Bellisseria Slenderman Gallery

Actually the Bellisseria Slenderman Gallery is really a gallery. The house is full of pictures, all showing appearances of of the Slenderman or scences on the occasion of his appearance. And there are many pictures shown in the gallery. But the intention is not to exhibit artful pictures. At the entrance of the gallery you can grab a notecard with things to do at the Bellisseria Slenderman Gallery:

1. Take your time to look around and see the NICE & EVIL artwork of the Bellisseria Slenderman.
2. Find the Slender: Eight Pages Roller Coaster
3. Find the creepy Bellisseria Slenderman basement
4. Find The Bellisseria Slenderman BBB Stamp Machine… YES it is HIDDEN because the Bellisseria Slenderman is EVIL… Once your passport is stamped he can see you… EVERYWHERE
5. Participate in the Eight Pages Bellisseria Slenderman HUNT! Can you find ALL 8 Pages? Each one can be bought for 0 L and contains a special almost one-of-a-kind Bellisseria Slenderman GIFT (ALL 8 Pages are on the parcel somewhere. And yes some are hidden in an EVIL way)
6. Try to make it out alive

Ok, I did as instructed and I had fun. I first looked at the artwork and to be honest – I was not excited of it nor intimidated at all. Once you leave the house things become more intersting. In the backyard you find a hut with some bloody bags, you walk over chains and hands reaching up trough the wooden walkway. And…. there’s the entrance to the basement. In fact you need to enable experiences and to walk into the entrance, then you get teleported to the basement.

To get to the roller coaster you need to walk into a big “Slenderman board” right next to the entrance of the gallery. The roller coaster is big fun and well made and best experienced in mouselook.

And finally I had fun searching the 8 gits, the eight pages. They are really very well hidden and it takes some time to find them, I just found 2 easily. The pages are very small. Hint: use your mouse to hoover over everything to see the “buy” symbol.
The gifts itself are not really a reasom to hunt, but the hunt itself is fun.

Finally there are the BBB Stamp machines. They are not really “hidden” and easy to find. Clicking on them you get a text in main chat like:

I have no idea what the stamp machine is for – did I miss something? Inara writes about it: “For those with a Bellisseria passport, the opportunity to have it stamped (or maybe “unstamped!”) by the Slender Man.” It made me curious and after some reasearch I found a video about the Bellisseria passport that is also available on youtube. Anotehr activity discovered :-).

Anyway I had fun exploring the Bellisseria Slenderman Gallery and wanted to share. Have fun exploring yourself. And don’t believe any conspiracy stories (in RL and SL)!

Wednesday, August 4th, I met Mistress Jenny in the afternoon at Heavy Bondage Club. We caught up with our mutual news first. Looking at Mistress I got weak knees and asked her to hold my leash. Mistress agreed and it became an exciting afternoon for me as I was in a very submissive mood. We went to club Domme a Domme and to club DeLust and Mistress Jenny had fun exposing me as her property.

We retured to our loft skybox and Mistress allowed me to get my fix. And Mistress enjoyed providing it *winks*. Thank you for an exciting afternoon, Mistress Jenny.

August 4th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at home

We had a relaxed night. First we spent some time at Puerto Esclava. When slave Holly came inworld we returned home and played a skipee with her. It was a close game and hence it was fun. Afterwards we were at Carnal Intentions for a while until mistress had to log off as she had an early start the next day.

Thursday, August 5th, I was inworld during the day a few times. Just before lunch I had a nice short roleplay at Heavy Bondage Club. It is really rare getting such a nice “shortie” and I had fun. I also visited two exhibtions so that I could catch up a little bit with all the invitations that I got.

Mistress and I met at night and we caught up with our news at Heavy bondage Club. When slave Holly came inworld, we took her to Carnal Intentions first and later to Psi’s realm. We had a nice and relaxed night, just chatted amoung us, read profiles and watched and listened to main chat. As Mistress had to get up early again the next day, we went to bed quite early.

Art in Second Life 2021 (75) Sinners and Saints

Following Inara Pey’s blog I came across the exhibtion “Sinners and Saints” (read her article here). Thank you Inara for blogging about it

“Sinners and Saints” extends over the two sims “Sinful Retreat” and “Angels Rest Arts Collective”. The provided landmark leads you into the center, right close to the sim border, that is indicated on the floor.
And just like the exhibition extends almost seamlessly over the two sims, the landmark descriptions of the two sims fit together:

Sinful Retreat is a land where worlds and times collide. A virtual playground where artists are welcomed with open arms to show their works. Home of the Janus Galleries and Janus Java.
Where art and music collide in an immersive environment for the senses. Curated by Chuck Clip, Angels Rest is the sister sim and mirror to Sinful Retreat with a focus on the performing arts and large 3D art installations.

Chuck Clip is a graphic designer, prim sculptor, co-owner of Sinful Retreat & Angels Rest, and co-curator of the Janus Galleries. He and his RL wife and SL partner, Jewell, seek to help breathe new life into the SL art community.

Inara Pey wrote about the background of the exhibtion “Sinners and Saints“:
“First announced in February 2021 (see Inara Pey’s blog: Sinners and saints, a new arts challenge in Second Life), the exhibition is in many respects the spiritual offspring of the great Art Challenges sponsored and hosted by the University of Western Australia and their partners (both in-world and out-world), and organised by FreeWee Ling and Jayjay Zifanwe on behalf of UWA.“

“In the wake of the UWA gratitude art show back in November which Chuck Clip curated alongside Maripose Upshaw, we here at Sinful Retreat and Angels Rest decided to carry UWA’s torch onward into the future in the form of occasional themed art shows. Sinenrs and Saints art show is our first show which serves the dual purpose of carrying the aforementioned torch and celebrating the culmination of our first year in Second Life.
Sinful Retreat and Angels Rest are mirrors for each other, highlighting the dichotomy of light and dark in the art and humanity as a whole. We thought it appropriate that our first show should reflect that … with submissions form 50 artists and poets from across the grid, and over 20 hours of performances by musicians and DJ’s, plus poetry and Science Fiction readings, this show is sure to encapsulate all of us and serve to start some interesting conversations.”

Sinners and Saints: Exhibit 2021 by Dusty Canning

You can find the program of events on the Sinful Retreat website. On the website is also the list of participants.

There’s really a lot of art to see and enjoy, to immerse into and to experience how and with which stylistic means the artists expressed the contrast between Sinners and Saints, Light and Dark, Good and Evil.
The dark part is at Sinful Retreat, the light part at Angels Rest.

The 3D objects are in the center of the exhibition and the pictures are showcased at the walls. Most artists have 2 exhibtis, one on the Sinner side and one on the Angels side. Also many of the 3D art objects are created twice and contrasting.

As mentioned before the list of artists is long and compromises a lot of artists that I covered already in this blog as well as some of who I have never heard of before. Morlita Quan’s picture couple is exactly on the sim boarder hence it is easy to see the contrast. Other artists contrasting pictures are farer away but you can recognize each artists signature and the exhibits are also marked.

The exhibtion “Sinners and Saints” opened July 10th and will be open until September. You can get the current program of events on the Sinful Retreat Website. There you can also find a video clip (14 minutes) of the opening event.
