Art in Second Life 2021 (111) The Art of Water and Colours by Sophie de Saint Phalle

I got an invitation to see Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010)’s newest exhibtion “The Art of Water and Colours” at IMAGO Art Gallery that opened Nvember 5th.
I had visited IMAGO Land in April 2021 the first time (read here). IMAGO Land is a moderate homestead owned Mareea Farrasco. There are several skyboxes that are used for exhibitions. Saint Phalle (perpetua1010)’s exhibtion “The Art of Water and Colours” is in main IMAGO Art Gallery. If the direct landmark doesn’t bring you to the skybox, use the teleporter at the landing point to get to the gallery. And if you’re there – don’t miss out to see the other galleries and IMAGO Land itself.

I have covered Sophie’s art in this blog quite often already. The last exhibtions I saw from her was “Escape” at Nacotic Concept (read here).

“The Art of Water and Colours” consists of about 25 pictures presented at the walls of the IMAGO Art Gallery As the title implies there are all watercolour pictures, some of these pictures were already shown at ][Octopussy][ goes Cuba last month (read here). But the presentation at IMAGO Art Gallery is more compact, the pictures have a stronger connection with eachother, you recognize patterns, pictures that belongs together but still have their own character. Most of the pictures are related to female and male bodies, yes erotic in some way, but also just showing the beauty you might see in them, others deal with emotions.

But there are also pictures, I had never seen before, they seem to belong to another phase of Sophie’s work. They are more classic watercolour pictures. I was very surprised seeing “Sophie as Baby”, a picture that doesn’t fit to the others. Also the pictures named “Namibia” are outstanding, probably they were made on the occasion of a vacation.

Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) is a Austrian RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kinds of paint and lithography. Her favourite materials are sand, plaster, glue, terracotta, stones, bones, ash, charcoal, natural pigments and more.
Sophie has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the Unites States, Australia, Rome and Monaco. Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) has an own gallery, The “SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre“.

Wednesday, November 3rd, I had some time with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon at club Domme a Domme. I first knelt at Mistress side, but when two subs approached us, Mistress allowed me to stand and I had the two subs cleaning my boots and kneeling at our feet. I provided quite some entertainment to the club. well you have to make the fun yourself, when none else does *winks*. Anyway our hour went by way to quickly.

At night Mistress was running late. Flo and Sun were inworld. Flo was playing skipee and Sun was at Psi’s realm. I went to Flo and summoned Sun to us. Flo and I played one game while I talked with both. Sun had broken a rule and I had to punish her after we had finished the game. I decided to spank her boobs with my bare hands. A little reminder to follow all rules can never be bad.

In the meanwhile slave Holly and Alessi had come inworld and joined us – and I had to pee. Hence I took Flo, Holly, doll Sun and Alessi to the house and used Holly as my personal toilet. Then I took the slaves to Psi’s.

Flo enjoyed the Marine’s slide show with the long bondage scenes on her RemVision, Alessi enjoyed my weight, Holly enjoyed talking with me. She has new assignments to fulfil for us and our latex doll Sun enjoyed her tightening restrictions. And I had quite something to watch at Psi’s while teasing the slaves and talking with them. Almost perfect!

Mistress Jenny came inworld late, just as Flo and Sun had to leave to bed. She took my warmed seat and caught up with everything, quite obviously enjoying her position. And I enjoyed stepping back for a moment.

Thursday, November 4th, Mistress was not supposed to be inworld in the afternoon and I used my free time to visit an art installation. At night Mistress was inworld (unexpectedly) and after we had caught up with our mutual news we went to Psi’s realm to pick up our doll Sun there. It was really full there and a lot was going on, maybe too much, as it was hard to follow. We stayed a bit there with our doll, then returned home to play a skipee with Flo.

After the game, slave Holly was present too and we went to Carnal Intentions where we spent the rest of the night. Flo is now watching Marine Kelly’s film and is enjoying it. Lucy (MisslucyWales) came by to say hello. Mistress and I enjoyed and relaxed talking among us and with the slaves. And we fixed a theme for our upcoming Friday night party.

Art in Second Life 2021 (110) “The Frayed Thread” by Armageddon

I visited “The Frayed Thread” at Second Life Endowment for The Arts (SLEA) Region 1. The installation was created by Armageddon (Day Silvercloud) and was opened October 31st.

Armageddon wrote about “The Frayed Thread”:
““The Frayed Thread” is a visual exploration, utilizing mesh and lighting, of the effect of individual perception and motivation on civilization formation and destruction, illuminating how the threads of personal experience and relationships weave together. So each strand starts somewhere…a location, a time, a person, an idea, and then it crosses the other strings as those ideas and resources begin to build to create a tapestry of their final product. It spans 1940s through 2020.“

When you enter “The Frayed Thread” you are asked to use shared environment and to set your viewer to advanced lighting. On the floor you see the number “1944”, the year the journey begins. The world is red, be it to symbolize blood, or just because it fits. Once you enter you see a black line with “1960” and furtheron lines with “1970”, “1980”….until “2020”. You further see giant thread spools and single threads connecting them. Like on a ropeway you futher see padlocks moving along the threads, sometimes as a couple of two, sometimes just one. The padlock might stand for the people who’s threads expands over the decades, some ending in a spool, other ending in a big net that almost covers the a big sphere, our planet earth. Furtheron, when you start your tour, you see a sign, giving a hint about the meaning of “The Frayed Thread“:
“There were two reason I was scared to let people see: The damage they could do, and the damage they would find.”

On the floor line above 2000 you see 2 big towers, the twin towers. The above mentioned net of threads, that covers the earth ends in a pond, it might symbolize the suffering of our planet.

The whole scenery offers a lot of light effects be it in the sky, at the sim boarder which’s texture looks like a snake, on the two towers or on the surface of the pond. The moving padlocks add dynamic into the installation. The padlocks that travel together are kept together by a paper clip, some threads lead through folder … and for sure there’re a lot more details that I didn’t see at my fist visit.

Armageddon (Day Silvercloud) is in Second Life almost 13 years. She’s an SL lighting and environment artist who regularly explores new visual (and movement, and auditory) limits to push and break until they are something else entirely.

“The Frayed Thread” convinces by the light effects and the perfect fitting environment settings, it offers quite some symbols, which might be interpreted as the visitor sees fit. It’s an intriguing installation. “The Frayed Thread” will stay open until the end of 2021.

Diary 2021 (148) November 1st/2nd Latex doll Sun, ropes for slave Holly

When I came inworld on Monday, November 1st, in the afternoon, I first rezzed what we had removed to myke room for our Halloween party. I was almost done, when Mistress Jenny came inworld. We went to Heavy Bondage Club to catch up with our news and stayed there for about half an hour. Mistress wanted some slight changes at home at our Stonehaven patio and on the terrace. There are quite some chairs and sofa that we rarely use and some of them also often do not work.
Mistress had in mind to buy the chair that we use at club DeLust. Hence we went to the store to get it ….. wow, really an investment, but we got it nonetheless.
We returned home where Alessi joined us and accompanied us while we were building and arranging.. We cleaned up our stonehaven patio, we added the new chairs to the terrace and to our Fetisch Club Chez Maurer and finally we discussed where to put slave Holly’s new Japanese cage. We tried several places, in particular the terrace cell in our house, but finally we decided to rezz it in fron of the house.

Mistress Jenny and I were inworld early at night. We had promised our pet Sun to put her into her latex doll out fit. When I came inworld, Mistress had already begun to encase her and I had just to finish it. I locked her and put away the keys (I just forgot where I put them *winks*). after we had finished and all was set up, we wento to club Domme a Domme with our doll and spent some time there looking good. We returned home, when our doll had to leave for bed.

Mistress Jenny and I played a round of Yathzee, something we hadn’t done for a long while. While we played slave Holly and slave Alessi came inworld. We had a relaxed night at Psi’s realm and at Heavy Bondage Club chatting amoung us and looking around, reading and enjoying the eye candy and our decorative slaves.

Tuesday, November 2nd, I had a relaxed time with Mistress in the afternoon. We were at Carnal Intentions to catch up with our news, then we moved to Puerto Esclava, but had to leave as the sim restarted. We went to Heavy Bondage Club and to DeLust, but just the same there – we arrived and got the sim restart warning – “Restart Tuesday” at its best. Finally we went to Dark Butterfly where we stayed for about half an hour until Mistress had to leave into her RL. I hopped again over our usual sims, then I logged off myself.

We had another family night. When we came inworld our latex doll Sun was present and we took her to Psi’s ralm to decorate us. When Flo came inworld we returned home for a skippe and when we finised playing, Alessi and slave Holly had joined us. We returned to Psi’S realm. It was full and a lot was going on, hence we had good eye candy and entertainment. I leashed our latex doll at the chains when she had to leave for bed. She will stay at Psi’s overnight. Mistress Jenny and I had comfortable first row seats and a glass of wine while watching what was going on.

Art in Second Life 2021 (109) Drawer by Bamboo Barnes

I got an invitation to see Bamboo Barnes newest exhibtion “Drawer” at Hannington Arts Foundation.

The provided landmark leads you to the central landing point at Hannington Arts Foundation (HAF) from where you can take a direct teleport to the exhibition “Drawer” by Bamboo Barnes. Right next to where you land at the exhibtion, you can grab a notecard from Bamboo Barnes and a notecard with the biography of Bamboo.

In the notecard Bamboo Barnes shared her thoughts about “Drawer” with the visitor:
Drawer that don’t close properly.
Drawer that you no longer use.
A faded picture stuck in the back, ton messed wrinkled one.
You’ve forgotten what was like but the smell comes back.
For the days you have loved close your eyes, close the drawer.

“Drawer” consists of about 20 pictures, in the typcial style of Bamboo. All pictures show female faces or upper bodies (just one shows several female bodies) under a layer of coloured abstract forms or objects or other pictures, thus providing several levels of how to look at the pictures. By the layers the pictures also develop a 3rd dimension. And – as you can expect it from Bamboo Barnes, the pictures are all very colourful.

Looking a the pictures you can get lost in thoughts, trying to find the lowest layer, to grasp what is behind the objects. Instinctively your view is led to the spots where you can’t recognize what is behind and you try to add it in your mind, to fill the pictures. I like Bamboo’s comparision with a drawer, you try to open it to find out more.
I recommend that your hoover with your mouse over the pictures to see the name of each picture. That adds another thought of the the artist and yes, it fits!

Bamboo is in Second Life for over 14 years already, painting software & photoshop are her best friends. Bamboo had many exhibtions and appearances in the Second Life art scene and in 2018 she had her first exhibition in real life: “I create what I see but maybe you won’t, they are about people’s reality and  mind.” Bamboo’s art is a mixture of abstract forms, of people and photographs. Most pictures are colourful and it is in the eye of the beholder what we see in her pictures. I myself saw her work the first time at La Maison d’Aneli during the Holiday season 2019/2020 (read here). I also saw her exhibition “Marginal Mannerism” at DixMixGallery in April 2021 (read here), the exhibition “Meant to be” at Itakos Art Gallery last year (read here), I saw “Conjure” at FOCUS Magazine F.A.I.R Gallery in August 2021 (read here) and just recently I saw “Mindstorm” at IMAGO Land (read here). Diary 2021 (147) October 30th/31st A SL family weekend

Saturday, October 30th, I went inworld in the early afternoon. I met our pet Sun shortly, then I went on a simploring tour. I was just finished with it, when Mistress Jenny came inworld just right on time and as we had agreed on the night before. She was removing the Halloween party decorations when I returned home. I took back what I had contributed to the decoration (tree), then we went to Puerto Esclava and caught up with our news there. Out pet Sun came inworld again soon after and we summoned her to us. We spent way over an hour at Puerto Esclava just chatting among us and talking about who we saw (and read in profiles) there. And after Sun had left Mistress and I went to Heavy Bondage Club for a few minutes and Mistress had me at her feet.

After Mistres had left to tend to her RL, I went visiting a gallery and then logged out myself.

At night Mistress Jenny, Flo and I played a skipee first. Sun watched and later also slave Holly watched us. Well Mistress and I we watched Flo playing cards, we were just … decoration *winks*.
After Flo had won, we had a family night at Carnal Intentions, Heavy Bondage Club, Psi’s realm and at our Stonehaven patio at home. slave Alessi joined us at Psi’s realm. We did nothing but chat amoung us and relaxed. Flo was in her own world watching the slideshow of Marine. After last night’s party, it was just the right, to chat and relax.

Mistress Jenny left early as she was tired and I went with slave Holly, slave Alessi and pet to Carnal Intentions for a bit before I called it a night myself.

Sunday morning, Ocotober 31st, I went visiting 2 galleries and I had a productive day for the blog. When I came inworld, I found a snapshot from Holly. She took it while dusting. I think she’s for sure someone who has watched the slideshow a lot – and learned a lost about us watching it. The picture shows me visiting my Ehesklavin Jenny tied up in a shibari rope harness. I have a latex slave at my leash (that was Flo!) and my tied up Ehesklavin is in an Asian-style cage. As there is a date and a picture name “20150524 Dio with Ehesklavin at The Lovers” I think the picture was taken in the course of some special nights and session on the occasion of Jenny’s 7th collaring anniservary. And I found the according diary blogpost: Special celebrations weeks (May 22nd – June 5th) (2). It’s great to have it written down in our diary.
Anyway, where did we start … ah yes, slave Holly told me that the picture did excited her.

I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon at club Domme a Domme. We caught up with our news. Kitty had sent us her wish for the golden ticket – to be rescued from the space station where she’s stuck for several weeks now already. We will go on a rescue mission, well most probably Mistress Jenny will go on the rescue mission.
We also talked about Holly and the Asian-style cage. Mistress asked me if I had it in my inventory, but I hadn’t. When slave Holly came inworld, we went seeing her at home and Mistress proposed to look for the cage at Dee’s cageroom. We didn’t find it there, but then I remembered where I saw it – at Lochme. We went there, saw the cage and then went buying it at Dominatech. What was missing to create the scene in the picture is a rope harness. We got the Siren ropes from Marine Kelley instead.
I was curious myself how this scene would develop with slave Holly. When we had to leave to tend to our RL, we left slave Holly unbelted and without her cuffs, just leashed in the terrace cell, so that she could try out and adjust her new ropes.

At night we played a skipee as teams with Flo and slave Holly, pet watched us and when we had finished, Alessi joined us. I tried to help slave Holly with her ropes and we had a lot of chat amoung us during the game. We went to Psi’s realm after the game and just continued chatting. And Mistress and I made plans for the upcoming days.

Art in Second Life 2021 (108) The End of Innocence by Meilo Minotaur

I visited the exhibition “The End of Innocence” by Meilo Minotaur at DixMix Gallery in room Amalfia. The exhibition consists of about 12 pictures, which are based on SL pictures, I think at least.

I have come across Meilo Minotaur twice so far. Meilo is in Second Life since 2008 and she owns and a homestead named “Delicatessen” where she has different installations for about 10 years now. I visited “Delicatessen” in 2019 (read here).

Then I saw a piece of her art at the exhibition “Sinners and Saints” this year in August (read here). The piece she contributed was a 3D object of three angels, angels like the one featured on the exhibition flyer above. Several of these angels and a devil-like figure are shown in several of Meilo pictures in “The End of Innocence”.

Most probably “The End of Innocence” has at least one potential interpretation, it could be meant religiously. Another recurring element at “The End of Innocence” is a group of 3 genderless figures. They seem to turn away from the angel, seduced by the devil? And then there’s this woman with the red scarf. Is she watching the scene? Are the pictures in her head only. Is she the sinner who lost her innocence?
I leave it up to you to interpret Meilo’s art. These are just my thoughts.

I couldn’t get more information about Mielo Minotaur, I just found a flickr account of her. “The End of Innocence” is a very intriguing exhibition, for sure. Thank you Meilo.

Diary 2021 (146) October 29th – Our Halloween Friday night party

Friday, Ocotber 29th, I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon. We went to club Domme a Domme, where we caught up with our news. Mistress and I had a few IMs, one was about my story from owning Mistress Jenny as mine to becoming her married slave. Mistress Jenny talked with me about it and fueled my submission to her.
When we returned home, she provided me my fix. She made me lick ehr while she was talking about welding my collar, about my position, about my enslavement. Mistress is a real expert when it comes to conditioning. Thank you, Mistress Jenny!

October 29th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at club Domme a Domme and at home

After we had recovered we changed into our outfits for our Halloween party at night. My Little Red Ridding Hood costume was quite bloody!

Our Halloween party was great fun. I’d like to say – as every year. Mistress Jenny had done a great job with decorating our dancefloor and embedding it into a forest. And we had great costumes.

Some outfits were quite scary, bloody or simply creative. Our Ebony had wings, but couldn’t lift off due to her fat ass. Domina Ansar was a huge fantasy robot with skulls just topped in height by DwarfSquasher Stormcrow. Some (late) guests just joined as they were. Well, and Claven’s decorations do always come naked (or just with chastity belts).

And Virgo had to strip, this time she dared to even take off her panties (if she wore any, what I doubt). The pictures I took are nice memories – until next year’s Halloween party.

Simploring 2021 (33) Grauland November 2021

following Inara Pey’s blog I came across “Grauland” again. Inara just had published a new blogpost about “Grauland“: “Grauland’s Lights in Second Life“.

I have visited Grauland in 2019 the first time (read here), three times in 2020 (read here, here and here) and the last time in April 2021 (read here). And everytime it was different. Each redesign was worth a visit so far.

Grauland is an adult homestead owned by JimGarand. He runs a shop for poses (M-1 Art Poses). Inara reported in her post that JimGarand had been away for a few month, and that he moved to a new (adult) homestead. And he created again something different from what I saw from him before. As far as I could find out, Jim’s shop for poses (M-1 Art Poses) is not (yet?) located in the skies above – at least I saw no teleport point to it.

Grauland is a modern town. The landing point is in an older part with a red light district. In the background you see the skyscrapers of what might be the business district. It you use shared environment, it’s night and a bit hazy. You can sense that you’re not in the best district of the the town. The facades are used for big paintings, racelights lead to nightclubs and other stores like a laundry or a cinema. Public toilets are not far from the landing point.

I walked towards the promende first, had a short break at a bar, then walked all along the promenade with its modern light art objects. The promenade ends in a tunnel.

I walked back and used the stairs to enter the largest building at Grauland. I named it “Modern Art Building”. In the court you find more light art objects. The building itself seems to have no purpose. It is just empty. The glass facade offers great views on the skyscrapers inthe background. I left the Modern Art Building on the other side and came to a huge Arch of Victory, obviously a protected landmark in the heart of the town.

I continued exploring the redlight district and found more hidden backyards, bars, a garage amd even a furnished flat, which you enter through a door teleporter. The atmosphere of Grauland is very dense and feels authentic. Jim selected the textures, the all paintings and racelights very well and I’m pretty sure that I missed many details. It is very well made!

Finally I visited the beach and the pier. That’s quite a contrast to the town. At the end of the pier is a hut where you can sit inside like in a sailor’s club and outside you have a nice view on the sea or backwards to the town with it’s skyscrapers in the background. At the beach you also find a nice campfire.

JimGarand has once again re-invented Grauland and surprised me with a totally different design. The setting and the atmosphere of Grauland are very fitting. The art is not too dominant, yet present and the Modern Art Building gives enough reason to speculate about its purpose (if any). Thank you Jim, in particular for sharing your sim with the public again.

Diary 2021 (145) October 27th/28th slave Holly and pet Sun hanging around

When I came inworld on Wednesday, October27th, in the afternoon, Mistress Jenny and Sun were present. Mistress was busy setting up the Halloween decoration for our party on Friday. And Sun was watching her. I caught up a bit with Sun and watched Mistress Jenny for quite a while, then Mistress was done (for that day!) and ready to visit a club. We went to Psi’s realm. Soon after we had arrived Sun had to leave to tend to her RL.
Flo was shortly online. She had left the night before quite quickly because of technical issues and she hadn’t solved them yet.
Mistress Jenny and I visited Puerto Esclava and club Domme a Domme. We caught up with our mutual news, we chatted and I also surfed the marketplace and came up with a mask from “Squid Game” – at least funny as a costume for Friday. And that’s already all about the afternoon.

At night I took Sun to Puerto Esclava and spent some time with her there. Mistress Jenny joined us there. We went to Heavy Bondage CLub with Sun after a while and spent some time there, reading profiles. When slave Holly came inworld we moved on to Psi’s realm.

I had in mind to tie Holly and Sun up close together and rezeed a suspension bar.
It was fun to watch and tease Holly and Sun – and inbetween Holly was close enough to Sun’s crotch to lick her and to make her cum. As Mistress would express it – I was Mistress Nice again *winks*

We had fun and Holly and Sun provided a nice show not only entertaining us but also making us proud owning them. After the show, I hogtied slave Holly and Sun … and we returned home.

Thursday, October 28th, I met Mistress Jenny shortly in the later morning, time enough to catch up. She had had a nice short roleplay and had enjoyed it. I also saw pet Sun and said hello to her, she was working on her wardrobe.
I was inworld again after lunch but just for a few minutes as I had to tend to my RL.
When I came inworld in the afternoon Mistress Jenny had just finished setting up the decoration for our Halloween party. She made a great job again.

This week we are in for a Brothers Grimm of a time. All the creatures from their tales have broken loose and have descended onto our beach. If you want to be safe this Friday Night wear something scary to fit in. There will be a contest board for the best costume and if we survive that long the winners will share the prize after the weekend song. Be safe but best of all be scary…… Virgo will be spinning her spooky tunes as always.

Pet Sun was present and we went to Puerto Esclava and the to club DeLust with her. Mistress Jenny and I stayed at club Delust for almost an hour after pet Sun had left. We just talked and enjoyed togetherness. In moments like this I feel vvery owned, loved and submissive to my Mistress wife. Thank you, Mistress, my love, my world!

Our night was relaxed and enjoyable. We started it with a skipee with Flo, Sun was watching us. Flo had technical issues but could be inworld with another machine. slave Holly came inworld while we played. She was still in a hogtie from the night before and she finally arrived at the games tables when we had just finished the game. Flo won it by the way.
We went to carnal Intentions that night and I tied up slave Holly standing with a spreader bar. Then I guided our pet Sun’s head into Holly’s crotch – and she could return the favour of the night before to Holly. Mistress Jenny and I enjoyed watching the two.
