Diary 2018 (109) June 24th – Appleby Manor

Sunday afternoon, June 24th, I met Angelique at home. A spanking of her was more than overdue for several bratty remarks. When I picked up slave Flo and her at Ladies Paradies (read here) to take them home because our house needed to be cleaned she dared to ask me why I didn’t clean myself. In addition she proposed to Mistress the new corset that I’m wearing now and of course she had some more bratty remarks about it.
I ignored her protests, ordered her over my lap and spanked her with my bare hand. I hadn’t finished yet when Mistress Jenny came inworld. Hence I stopped and ordered Angelique to put her skirt back on. Of course she retarded dressing again and as Mistress Jenny entered the room, Angelique was just putting her skirt back on and was still sobbing and crying. Mistress did ignore her sobbing, she said nothing about it, but she gathered exactly what happened.

June 24th: Angelique, Mistress Jenny and Diomita at home

To my surprise she instead just ordered Angelique to tighten my corset to the next level, which Angelique did without hesitating under Mistress’ supervision. The corset is quite tight now and I can hardly walk or stand normally in it anymore.
Mistress Jenny really likes the look of the corset with the boots, and she likes having me and Angelique dressed similiar. That said Mistress took Angelique and me back to the DHB store and allowed me to buy the corset and the boots for her. Mistress changed into the corset and the boots, then we went on a kinkploring tour to Appleby Manor, a place that Angelique had come across.

June 24th: Entering Appleby Manor

According to the landmark description Appley Manor, the former private home of a retired Admiral, is now a luxurious retreat for hedonism and pleasure of many types. It is under the management of Lady Magda (magda1851). The landing point is at a jetty right opposite of the entrance gate to the estate. At the entrance is a nice overview map.

June 24th: Mistress Jenny, Diomita and Angelique at Appleby Manor (1)

We first visited the main house with the lobby and the lounge which is really luxurious and spacious. Before we could continue exploring we met Lady Magda who welcomed us. We had a short chat and roleplay with her and with a new slave of her who joined us soon after. Unfortunately Mistress Jenny and I had to leave and hence we left Angelique there. We might return some time soon to continue exploring Appleby Manor.

June 24th: Mistress Jenny, Diomita and Angelique at Appleby Manor (1)

Back at our private skybox, Mistress Jenny chained me to the wall and added a gag before she left. She does make it very clear to me who is in charge.

June 24th. Mistress Jenny storing her Ehesklavin Diomita

Sunday night was relaxed. After Mistress Jenny had released me, we went to Mesmerize Dungeon with slave Flo and spent about half an hour there chatting and enjoying some eye candy. Then we went home and had a round of skipee with Angelique and slave Flo. Angelique had another little accident during the game, just on the same chair where slave Flo had an accident the night before. We need to ensure that this won’t become a regular behavior! And Angelique earned again an additional spanking, as she confessed that she had exchanged the chairs before.

June 24th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with slave Flo at Mesmerize Dungeon / at home: Angelique, slave Flo, slave slut cecy, Diomita and Mistress Jenny

At the end of the game (I won it again) slave slut cecy joined us. Her visits have become rare due to her RL but she tries hard to stay in touch. We ended Sunday night at our Fetisch Club Chez Maurer where slut cecy danced for us.

Simploring 2018 (55) Fractal Chaos Theory by Redi

Saturday, June 23rd, when I scrolled over the new entries at scoop.it SL Destinations my attention was caught by a title and a picture “Fractal Chaos Theory – Redi (red.bikcin) – Diotima, Gigli Waves, Second life“.

Red&Danni – R&D art gallery

I like fractals and they always attracted me in their simplicity and simlutaneously in their complexity. I have seen quite some great exhibtions of fractal art in Second Life already. The title caught my attention because of Diotima, which is a greek name and up to today a quite rare female fist name. When I joined Second Life more than 10 years ago, I selected this name as my first name – and made a typo. That’s how Diomita was created.

This said, I had to visit this place. It is an art gallery. I couldn’t find out really much about it as there’s no notecard and no landmark description. The plot is owned by a group named Red&Danni, which was founded by Jos Kass. The group picture contains a text “R&D art gallery” – Red&Danni art gallery? The plot is named “Diotima, Ocio y Cultura”. Ocio y Cultura is Spanish and means leisure and culture.

Fractal Chaos Theory by Redi (Red Bikcin) – the exhibition at R&D gallery (1)

I assume that Redi (Red Bikcin) is involved or co-owning the R&D gallery. Currently there’s an exhibition of Red Bikcin’s fractal art. The exhibition is quite large and extends over 2 floors. Where you enter the gallery there’re innumerable live sized holograms of one and the same person in black and white, obviously it is a neko.
The room is surrounded by big fractal objects and at it’s end you walk through a colourful archway into another room. Every once in a while you find educational texts about fractals and I will quote them later on.
The second room and the whole second floor, that you reach walking upstairs at the end of the second room, has large fractal objects and most of them are steadily moving. They are transparent and often you literally walk through them. Every piece is very colourful, the whole exhibtion is very colourful. Embedded are some single pieces of Red Bikcin, and some of them are even for sale for reasonable prices.

Fractal Chaos Theory by Redi (Red Bikcin) – the exhibition at R&D gallery (2)

“Chaos is the science of surprises, of the nonlinear and the unpredictable. While most raditional science deals with supposedly predictable phenomena, Chaos Theory deals with nonlinear things that are effectively impossible to predict or control.”

“The phenomena of Chaos are often described by fractal mathematics, which captures the infinite complexity of nature. Many natural objects exhibit fractal properties. Recognizing the chaotic, fractal nature of our world can give us new insight, power and wisdom.”

Fractal Chaos Theory by Redi (Red Bikcin) – the exhibition at R&D gallery (3)

“A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are seld-similar across diffent scales. They are created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop.”

“Driven by recursion, fractals are images of dynamic systems – the pictures of Chaos. Geometrically, they exist in between our familiar dimensions. Fractal patterns are extremely familiar. Order / Disorder Chaos is not simply disorder. Chaos explores the transistions between order and disorder, which often occur in surprising ways.”

“Simply put, a fratal is a geometric object that is similar to itself on all scales. It you zoom in on a fractal object it will look similar or exactly like the original shape. This property is called self-similarity. But if you put an image fractal in a SL prim, and you modify the structures of that prim, the possibilities of chaotic changes they are endless. Fractals are of particular relevance in the field of chaos theory, since the graphs of most chaotic processes are fractal.”

Fractal Chaos Theory by Redi (Red Bikcin) – the exhibition at R&D gallery (4)

Red Bikcin’s exhibition about fractals at R&D gallery is not only educational, it lets you experience the fractals as you’re surrounded by them in all dimensions. And as many of the fractals and objects are steadily changing and moving, you get different imrepssions every second. The concept with transparent walls and floors give the impression of endlessness. I had a closer look at the single objects of Red Bikcin as well and I really liked them, smaller pieces of art that do unfold their effect even as a stand-alone piece of art.

At the end of my visit I bought one of Red Bikcin’s stand-alone objects and placed it at home near to our dancefloor. Slowly I begin to get a collection of art presented in Second Life.

June 23rd at home: Diomita placing Red Bikcin’s fractal art piece near to the dance floor.

It’s a shame that there’s no more information about the artist Red Bikcin and her profile doesn’t give away much of her as well (as I don’t speak Spanish). I enjoyed my visit very much! Thank you Redi for your art, the educational texts about fractals and the wonderful and colourful experience that you provide with this exhibition. Thank you Jos Kass and whoever else is involved in the R&D gallery.

Simploring 2018 (54) San Monique

For my simploring tour on Thursday, June 21st, I selected San Monique. Inara Pey wrote an excellent report about San Monique in her blog “A touch of Live and Let Die in Second Life“, that tempted me to visit it myself.

San Monique is a fictional Caribbean island and besides New Orleans one of the major sites of the plot of the James Bond film “Live and let die” from 1973. In Second life Zakk Lusch and They Wray DoneAway (They Ellisson) created a sim with a touch of New Orleans and the Bayou region of Louisiana. At San Monique you’ll find a lot of elements and references to the Bond film, be it the restaurant “Fillet of Soul” or the skull and top hat on a grave that are a reference to Baron Samedi. You’ll find some crocodiles and airboats and many more little details that hint to the film.
For those not familiar with the film “Live and let die” or those who don’t remember it anymore in detail like myself, I recommend to read about the plot in wikipedia.

Impressions of San Monique – the old plantation

But San Monique is not just about the Bond film. It is a beautiful and picturesque island in an extraordinairy style, not Mediterrean but Bayou. The center with the houses built above the water with the wooden board walks looks like being from another time and has a morbid charme. You can walk over wooden pathways into the swamps and over to an old plantage villa. I liked in particular the long driveway with the alley leading to the villa, that reminded me of the driveway in the film “Gone with the wind”. The villa itself has become shabby and again adds to the morbide charme of San Monique.

Impressions of San Monique – around the center

Impressions of San Monique – around the chapel

Exploring San Monique you encounter several persons, like the fisherman in the center, two childs sitting on a bench next to the ruins of a fun park, a clown, a band playing in the restaurant “Fillet of Soul” or the two pallbearer at the archway leaging to the chapel. Often these persons greet you in main chat and they liven up the scenery.

Impressions of San Monique – Restaurant “Fillet of Soul” / two kids / in the swamps

various impressions of San Monique

I also took some pictures posing next to crocodiles or fishing and I enjoyed exploring the swamps totally riskless and safe. San Monique is really unique. Thank you Zakk and They for creating this gem and providing it to the public for us all to enjoy.
I’ll end this post with a quote from the notecard, that you can grab at the landing point and that is taken from the Bond film: In the infamous words of Baron Samedi, “It’s going to be a beautiful day!”

Diary 2018 (107) June 20th/21st Ladies Paradies

I met with Jenny in the afternoon, Wednesday, June 20th. slave kelly was inworld and together with gwenney and Leana (Leana Campese). We took them to Mesmerize Dungeon for about half an hour, then our time was already up again. While we were at Mesmerize Dungeon and not noticable for most Jenny exhanged my collar, replacing the partnering collar with my sub collar. Mistress Jenny took back control.

June 20th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Mesmerize Dungeon with slave kelly, gwenney and Leana Campese / Diomita at our Fetisch Club Chez Maurer and at club DeLust with slave kelly and gwenny

My night was quite uneventful. gwenney and slave kelly were at our Fetisch Club Chez Maurer and I took the opportunity to watch gwenney cleaning and licking Miss Conduct’s boots. There’s room for improvement *winks*. Later I took them both to club DeLust, where we spent most of the night. I had a chat with Angelique who told me about slave Flo’s and her time at Ladies Paradise. And that’s it already for Wednesday.

June 21st: Angelique and slave Flo at Ladies Paradise (left) / slave Flo at work (upper tight) ( Diomita at Ladies Paradise with Angelique, slave Flo and Yoshila (lower right)

“Neat waists make for neat minds” is written above the entrance gate to Ladies Paradise. The theme and everything else at Ladies Paradise takes place in an fictional 19th century. Proper attire and behavior are demanded, ladies in long dresses or skirts, men in frocks, waistcoats or other fitting clothing. Shiny latex is allowed nonetheless although is doesn’t fit to the 19th century.
The “school” at Ladies Paradise is a boarding school for young women, who where prepared for their future life as a good wife. In particular, etiquette and dressing rules are being taught, but there’re no classes, terms, grades, levels or exams. It is adult roleplay and SM but it’s not a prison and punishments are not intended to last 24/7.
Angelique and Flo had to wear corsets and Yoshila and the housekeeper Laursianne likes them being tight, just like our slave Flo *winks*. Of course the maids have to do the usual chores like cleaning, dusting, cooking, ironing and serving their superiors.

June 21st: Diomita taking Angelique and slave Flo home from Ladies Paradise

Thursday night, June 21st, I visited Ladies Paradise to have a look after Angelique and slave Flo and to take them back home. Our own house needs to be cleaned for the weekend. I had a nice chat with Yoshila, the founder and owner of Ladies Paradise, who understood my reasons for taking them home. Back at home both got their instructions for cleaing the next day, then we relaxed playing a round of Skipee.

Simploring 2018 (53) Confinement by Mi

Tuesday, June 19th, I visited “Confinement“, a new exhibition by Mi (kissmi) at Daphne.Arts that opened just recently.
According to Mi, “the confinement is our lot – from the beginning, in the womb, and even before, as soon as the idea of our conception germinates in the minds of our parents, enclosing us”.
Created by Angelika Corral and Sheldon Bergman, who own Daphne.Arts and provide the space to other artists, the installation is divided in 4 sub sections: geographical, mental, physical and social confinements. Before you enter, you’re asked to attach a HUD. The HUD provides sound and text and is necessary for the experience. You will also be asked to set your viewer to advanced lighting and to shadows (moon and projectors) and to either accept the windlight or set your viewer to no light.

Confinement – an exhibition by Mi (1)

You enter a long and dark hallway and have to dare to keep walking forward. Then the scenery is lightened and you can see pictures at the walls to your left and right side. For each sub section (geographical, mental, physical and social confinements) there is a poem related to its theme and narrated by Mi. The narration is in French, the HUD provides a transcript in French and in English. The poems sound really nice in French, some alliterations of the poems can only be heard in French tough and don’t have the same effect in English.

Confinement – an exhibition by Mi (2)

The pictures and the poems build one unit, they fit together. The poems leave the visitor very thoughtfully. Each sub section has it’s own message. Geographicallyy it is the place you’re born, the many coincidences that lead to our own life, yes we’re equally born but not with equal chances. We have many confinements mentally, physcially and socially. Walking through the exhibition “Confinement” you walk through a whole life from birth to death, and life will go on.

Confinement – an exhibition by Mi (3)

At the end of the hallway you walk downstairs to experience a fifth section without a poem going with it – “Constrained Confinement is, in every way, an ultimate impasse”. The stairs leading down are illuminated by torches. You step down deeper and deeper until you reach a place lit by candles. At the end of the place is a statue with an open torso. It might symbolize a murder as one hand strangles the throat, it might symbolize another new life as another hand reaches out through the open torso holding a candle.
It is an impasse, so you have to either walk back or teleport out from there.

Confinement – an exhibition by Mi (4)

Confinement” by Mi is a particular form of art, combining poems (narrated and readable), music, pictures and the visual experience of Second Life into one piece of tangible art. I understood that Angelika Corral and Sheldon Bergman were responsible to make that happen. Again an exhibition you won’t see anywhere else but in Second Life.

DaphneArts, opened in March 2016, is an art complex that features monthly exhibitions, with a strong focus on the grotesque, surreal and existential themes. It is owned by Sheldon Bergman (sheldonbr) and Angelika Corral. Thank you and Mi for this exhibition!

Simploring 2018 (52) June 11th – Silent Manor

Silent Bondage Island was a quite popular adult homestead sim built, owned and operated by Adara Kattun. She lived there with her silent slaves and there were quite some people visiting regularly. You never heared her silent slaves talking as they were strictly gagged and at the landing point of Silent Bondage Island were big boards demanding to keep subs and slaves permanently gagged.
Silent Bondage Island was lovely and picturesque, and had steep rocks. On the top of the island was a villa and in the underground Adara had built a huge dungeon labyrinth with lots of cages. And there was this sound of birds, that accompanied you everwhere, you knew where you were even being blindfolded.
My family and I visited quite regularly and our Kitty was also often there and she had her times being restricted there by Adara. I won’t forget Adara ranting one day about Kitty that she had more than the 9 lifes of a cat.

Silent Manor – Overview and landing point at the harbour

Sadly Silent Bondage Island closed one day all of a sudden. But Adara built new places, that vanished again. Now there’s a new place – Silent Manor. Kitty spent already some time restricted there and when I met Kitty Sunday, June 10th, she just had managed to get free. I visited Silent Manor already before Kitty had her “vacation” there, but had not yet found the time or the right occasion to write about it.

Impressions of Silent Manor (1)

Hence I asked Kitty to write something about Silent Manor. Here is her report:

So what is new about Adara’s latest sim?
As some of you may remember, Adara Kattun has been the brilliantly creative force behind several “Silent” sims.
Her latest home, Silent Manor, contains many of the beautiful style elements that visitors already admired in her previous homes, such as the gorgeous garden, Bondage Cafe, a boat dock, a hippodrome and other race-horse training facilities, a harbor, an elegantly decorated villa with an inviting swimming pool in the back and, of course, many really cool traps scattered across the area. A must-visit is the roof-terrace where cage-enthusiasts can find a carefully curated selection of some of SL’s nicest cages and cells.
Of course the real fun starts once you go underground, into the dungeon area. Only prisoners may enter. Therefore, confess your sins, take the restraints, make sure your relay is on and tp to your fate. Please note that there is a separate area reserved for Adara’s slaves. If you’re not brave enough to tp, you can dare to explore by foot and discover the immense variety of cells, cages, restraints and other artifacts of the dungeon. Which ever path you choose, expect to find yourself in a situation that you didn’t quite expect.

Thank you, Kitty!

Impressions of Silent Manor (2) – upper left picture shows the Bondage Cafe, lower left picture shows the entrance to the pod prison, upper right picture is taken inside of the manor, lower right picture is taken inside of the dungeon labyrinth

No blog entry without pictures! After I got Kitty’s report, I visited Silent Manor together with slave kelly on Monday, June 11th, mainly to take some pictures.
We used the teleport pad, that is right in the entrance hall of the manor, to visit the cage area on the roof, the prison, and the slaves area. The prison and the slave’s area are under the manor and those familar with dungeon labyrinth at Silent Bondage Island will recognize a lot of it.
Of course you can also enter the dungeon labyrinth using stairs, if you find them. One possibility is to enter through the pod prison, the entrance to it is left of the manor. But the door from there to the dungeon labyrinth is closed from this sine. There are lots of racks and cells and cages everywhere on the whole plot as well as in the manor itself. I’m happy that Adara has also saved the Bondage Cafe from Silent Bondage Island, a place I really like.

Impressions of Silent Manor (3)

Once again, Adara created a really great place, she’s a great builder. Everything has it’s place and she used the whole plot very smart. The sound of the Harbour bell is also back again. The manor itself is furnished and decorated very stylish and elegant. And besides all the kinky stuff related to cages, slaves, bondage and pony play, Silent Manor is again beautiful and a nice place to be and to watch.

Thank you Adara for your work and in particular for sharing your place with the public. Visitors be careful – keep subs and slaves gagged and be aware of RLV traps, you might book a longer vacation.

Simploring 2018 (51) Sunny Day by Cica Ghost

Today, Saturday June 9th, I got an invitation from Cica Ghost to visit “Sunny Day“, her newest installation. I followed the invitation right ahead. The landing point is on a small rock that is connected by a bridge with the main island. The first view on “Sunny Day” is already lovely, you see several suns shining from a bright blue sky, moving flowers and the typical Cica-houses. “Sunny Day” is like from another world, it has something of a childlike phantasy world, a toy world, peaceful and beautiful.

Overlooking “Sunny Day by Cica Ghost”

Between you and “Sunny Day” is the bridge which is guarded by two monster fishes with intimidating teeth. But no worries, they don’t bite. On the island you can discover a lot of nice details. The ground is made of wooden plankes. The houses, the flowers, the tree and the persons can easily be recognized as Cica’s work. A road leads around the village in a circle and there’s one car driving. You can hop on the car and make a circle tour around the island.

Impressions of “Sunny Day by Cica Ghost” (1)

At one side of “Sunny Day” there’s the fence that Cica used for her installation “50 cats” (read here) and in one corner you find the “Catshop” with all to of them.

Impressions of “Sunny Day by Cica Ghost” (1)

I also found places to sit, there’re two tables with chairs. In the first moment you wouldn’t think that you can sit on them, but you can! The 12 people of the poster are spread around “Sunny Day” and they all look happy. I had fun exploring and discovering this little oasis, not searching for a deeper sense, but just enjoying the happiness that radiates from this installation.

Impressions of “Sunny Day by Cica Ghost” (3)

Thank you Cica for another great work that made me smile! And those who’re going to visit – enjoy!

simploring 2018 (50) Choreography of a Tortured Soul

I visited “Choreography of a Tortured Soul“, an installation by Theda Tammas at LEA 1. It’s not the first time that I saw Theda Tammas’ art, last year I saw her installations Labirinto at Blue Orange (read here) and Dissected Soul at LEA 15 (read here).
Choreography of a Tortured Soul” ties up to her previous installations. Theda arranged 15 naked, more or less genderless, statues at the edge of a of a flat platform, that is surrounded by steep rocks. The ground is covered with water, that reached up to my thighs and blood is on the surface of the water and at some places also scattered in the air.

“Choreography of a Tortured Soul” by Theda Tammas (1)

All statues are in different moving poses and some of them are rotating around their own axis. Some of the figures seems to dance alone, some dance together as couples or as groups. And all figures have an open wound at their heart and a big scarf on their bald head above the left eye. So it seems to be one and the same person because also the face and the facial expression is the same, but I’m not sure about that. The music, provided by Morlita Quan, is dull and monotonous and expressing sadness and melancholy.

“Choreography of a Tortured Soul” by Theda Tammas (2)

Besides the pictures that I took, there’s a very good video of Theda Tammas’ “Choreography of a Tortured Soul” to give you an impression what to expect. The link is also in the landmark description.

The installation makes the viewer quite thoughtfully about the own soul and about the fate of others. Thank you Theda for sharing your art, and thank you Morlita for the music.

Simploring 2018 (49) Paradiso – The end is near

I found some time to go simploring again on Wednesday, June 6th. Well, I didn’t really find the time for it, but I just took it. slave kelly was inworld and I took her with me. I selected “Paradiso – The end is near” from scoop.it SL Destinations. There’s no real information avaiable about “Paradiso“, at least not for those who can’t read Japanese – and I can’t. On scoop.it you find blog posts that just show some (very nice) pictures or links to flickr galleries.

Paradiso is owned by CaiN GestalT (cainabel), who writes about herself “I’m Japanese”. In her profile I found a link to her blog which is about fashion, furniture and gear. I also found a link to a blog about Paradiso, but it is written in Japanese. And there’s a link to CaiN’s flickr page. In the landmark description of “Paradiso” you find just two words “Stay Gold.”

Impressions of “Paradiso – The end is near” (1) – upper left is an overview, upper right is the landing spot

So what is “Paradiso” about, Paradiso- the end is near?
You land at a lovely place, surrounded by a circle of stone arcs. In the middle of the circle is a pavillion. Near to you is a white unicorn, at the sky you can admire an aurora borealis, there are large fields of white flowers, some butterflies. The paradies?
I zoomed out and overlooking “Paradiso” you can see that is consists of several islands that are surrounded by a shallow marginal sea. We could walk easily between the islands. Be aware, that you get wet feet at “Paradiso“.

Impressions of “Paradiso – The end is near” (2) – you will get wet feet

Paradiso” is a paradies for taking pictures. The aurora borealis makes a perfect background and the colours provided by the sim windlight are just beautiful. You will find some ruins and on the island in the middle of the sim it is raining. You will also find some really nice spots to sit and cuddle or to sit and dream or mediate. It is just a beautiful place. If the paradies is like that, I’m not afraid of it *winks*.

Impressions of “Paradiso – The end is near” (3) – on the first platform (teleport board is at the landing spot)

At the landing point are also teleporter boards which bring you to 2 other platforms in the sky. They also offer some romantic spots and provide opportunities for taking pictures.

Impressions of “Paradiso – The end is near” (3) – on the second platform (teleport board is at the landing spot) / the lower right picture is from the ground level

Paradiso” is a moderate sim, hence slave kelly was allowed wearing a bikini for the visit. She enjoyed being together with me and was in particular eager to try out the cuddle poses with me.

That’s it about my simploring tour to “Paradiso – The end is near“. Thank you CaiN GestalT (cainabel) for sharing your lovely place with the public. I enjoyed exploring and discovering it.

Simploring 2018 (48) doLLoureux

I visited “doLLoureux“, an exhibition by Nevereux at DaphneArts (or Daphne.Arts).

“doLLoureux” by Nevereux, an Exhibition at Daphne.Arts

At the entrance is a board with a text introducing to the exhibition with the thoughts of Nevereux about it:

I freeze and I burn and there is no in between.
And don’t touch me unless you plan on leaving a story behind.
I am rigid because softness seemed to numb me.
I am indestructible.
In some magnetic way I turn sorrow to hope when you hold me.
I mostly sit quietly, next to me, life.
I may look simple in form, but I create worlds in a profound and complicated way.
Drop your syrups, be rapt with life;
the most massive characters are seared with scars.
You living creatures, be immortals for a second (no batteries required).
One can make witnessing the default position or can attempt to change the world.
In between these 2 extremes I stand, on the lip of the abyss looking around, completely static, trying to figure out the humanity and inhumanity of dolls.
Oh, … here you are.

At the entrance you also get a HUD and an advice how to set your viewer environment to see the exhibtion. The HUD does add to the viewing experience and also stream music that fits with the exhibited art.

Impressions of “doLLoureux” by Nevereux, an Exhibition at Daphne.Arts (1)

The title “doLLoureux” is a play with words as doloureux is the French word for painful and the exhibition is about dolls. In addition the 2 capital LL also stand for Linden Lab, the company behind Second Life.

Diomita visiting “doLLoureux” by Nevereux, an Exhibition at Daphne.Arts

The exhibition presents pictures and 3D models of dolls, some are broken, some interact with others, some are set up surreal. All objects impress by the way they are presented. With the introductional thoughts of Nevereux you have a key to understand Nevereux’s intentions. I think you get an idea of this exhibtion by my pictures, but they only show some of the dolls and can’t transport all 3 dimensions. Hence you should see and experience the exhibition yourself.

Impressions of “doLLoureux” by Nevereux, an Exhibition at Daphne.Arts (2)

You should turn a special Attention onto the subtitle of Nevereux’s “doLLoureux” exhibition with which I’ll end this post:

Hold me. Frantically. Craft a narrative. In details.
Overemphasize my silence. With perverse anger.
Stare down my dead cold heart. As a compulsion
Love me without questions. Add time.
