Saturday, October 8th, I used my free time during the day to visit Ambre Singh’s newest exhibition
“Mishaps – the daily life of Ambre Singh” (read here). I had fun visiting. Ambre’s humor and wit is amazing.
At night I met Angelique and slave Holly. As Angelique was not up for a skipee we went to Carnal Intentions. slave Alessi joined us there. Later, after Angelique had left for bed, I took slave Holly and slave Alessi to club DeLust. I had a relaxed night and enjoyed.

Sunday, I wasn’t inworld during the day again. I had a skipee night. First I started a game with Flo and Sarah came to us, so we stopped and played with three. After the game Sarah left and I played on round with Flo alone. slave Holly came inworld and we played a 3rd round with her. After that game it was way beyond Flotime and she left for bed ad I took slave Holly with me to club DeLust. we just continued chatting. I had a relaxed night.

Monday, I had a busy but better day. I wasn’t inowrld though during the day.
At night I was running a bit late. Flo was playing skipee and I joined her for one game. While we played slave Holly came iworld too. She waited until we were done, then we had another game with three.
I went to Carnal Intentions with Flo and slave Holly after the game and stayed there unntil Flo and later slave Holly had to leave for bed. Another relaxed night in SL.

I got an invitation to see a new exhibition of Ambre Singh in the NovaOwl Sky Gallery: “Mishaps”. The invitation was similiar to that I got for “Past Masters” (read here). It was a HUD with quite some menu entries for landmarks also to her main gallery, her biography, something about the exhibition and other links, like Ambre Singh’s own webpage, her store on the marketplace and her flickr page.

Ambre wrote about “Mishaps”: “Since a good part of my SLife consists of getting into all sorts of misadventures, the theme was a natural one. Another common thread in my SL presence is a form of spiritual activism. My virtual existence might as well serve a purpose, right? It is therefore with pleasure that I invite you to discover my new exhibition, “MISHAPS, the Daily Life of Ambre Singh”, generously hosted by The NovaOwl Sky gallery.”

Knowing Ambre Singh’s art, I expected funny and witty pictures. I was not disappointed. Ambre herself was present and welcomed me with the words “Welcome to one more silly outburst of mine :)”
The gallery space is huge. On the ground floor Ambre Singh’s pictures are often extended with 3D objects fitting to the according picture. Every picture has funny and fitting title. There is a sandbank with beach pictures.

Where the heck did Ambre get these ideas, this wit and this irony? The pictures are really funny and made me smile. In some pictures Ambre picks up on current topics like covid or King Charles III. And it’s no surprise that Ambre also added some explicit pictures, as I did expect it. The gorund floor packed with pictures and ideas.

On the stairs to the second floor sits a man with a bouquet of flowers, but take a closer look, it is ot a bouquet of flowers, it is a bouquet of coloured dildos *winks*. The pictures on the second floor are also witful, but most are with a serious background. At the entrance of the second floor Ambre added a text:
“A good way to get into trouble is to show your political views.I personally feel that seriousness is suffocating the planet and making people amorphous. We need joy, disobedience, courage and love. So here is my little contribution, my call for a joyful, libertarian and libertine awakeing. The beginning is near!”

Ambre Singh is in Second Life for over 15 years. She writes about herself:
“‘It is your mind that creates this world’, said Buddha.
All you do in SL will subtlely change you and others in all worlds. So in my life and art, I thrive to add my spice, beauty and love.
I photograph people of character in beautiful places of SL or in studio. Sometimes, I create thematic images in SL, or I mix worlds… If the harvest is good, I make an exhibition.
Colorful or discrete, tender or erotic, my photos try to express the life and the soul of the people and places.“

I had fun visiting “MISHAPS – The daily life of Ambre Singh” at NovaOwl Sky Gallery. Thank you Owl (Owl Dragonash) and Uli Jansma for providing the space for Ambre Singh’s “Mishaps”. Ambre also mentioned Kika Yongho for her precious help in decorating the space.

The exhibition is open until 27 November 2022 – enjoy your visit, like I did.

Thursday, October 6th, my night started with skipee as usual. First 2 games with Flo, then one game as teams: Flo and my against slave Holly and slave Alessi. After the games Flo left for bed and I put slave Alessi into her October outfit. We went to club DeLust shortly, then our time was over already.

Friday, October 7th, I could slow down and I visited the exhibition “Noir by Joanna Kitten” at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery Annex (read here). In the later afternoon I had a play with a domme .. it seems as that could develop – at least for some time.
And at night we had our Friday night party. slave Holly had the idea for the theme “James Bond”:
“It‘s Friday again, so we celebrate the start of the weekend. James Bond turned 60 .. what an age!, dress to celebrate “Bond-age” or come as you are (even naked). DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.”
We were not that many, but had fun using the titles of the different films in our conversations. Another good start into the weekend.

Art in Second Life 2022 (84) Noir by Joanna Kitten @ Nitroglobus The Annex

Dido Haas invited me to the opening of new exhibition at in the annex of her Nitroglobus Roof Gallery: “Noir” by Joanna Kitten (joaannna). The exhibition will be opened officially today, Monday, October 10th, at 12 PM SLT (9 PM Central Europe Time). The music will be provided by Jewell, the particles will be added again by Venus Adored.

I saw Joanna Kitten’s work at Michiel Bechir Gallery in March 2022 (read here). Kitten is in Second Life since December 2019. She wrote about herself and her art: “Kitten was first drawn to second life photography in 2020 initially by seeing the results produced by entrants in a photography competition at the sim where she works. All her pictures are taken inworld and are only a little edited afterwards.
Her big love is landscape photography and she travels the grid in search of the perfect shot her pictures revealing her love of nature, the sea, exotic ruins as well as parasols and umbrella’s. Her pictures look to showcase the myriad ways in which light makes a picture, the gaudy autumn colours, reflections, the play of light on the water and towering cloudscapes.“

And that fits to what Dido Haas, the owner and curator of the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery wrote about Joanna Kitten. Dido met her taking pictures of landscapes and saw more of her work at Joanna Kitten’s flickr page. She liked what she saw and invited her to exhibit at her gallery. But she had a challenge for Joanna and asked her to make something different, not landscapes or nature. The result is “Noir”.

The exhibition consists of 8 black and white pictures, all inspired by Joanna’s love of the 1950’s Film Noir: “The images shown in this exhibition were made at various locations and Kitten would like to thank those who have assisted her in bringing these pictures to life. In particular Frau Jo Yardley whose 1920’s Berlin Project sim is the location for a number of these images. Other sims featured are Isle de Noir, Blue Orange, Temple Hof and Omerta City.“

Once again the mirroring effect of the floor, the showcased 3D objects along with the light art provided by Adwehe add to the overall impressive pictures. The exhibition room is seperated in the center by a transparent wall. You can only see a little bit of the picture that is hidden in this almost fully transparent wall. What you can see is the text on the lower right side of the wall: “Of all the Gin Joints in all the Towns in all the world, She walks into mine”

Joanna’s pictures impress by some minimalism which makes the spectator focus on the details. The woman in the pictures is Joanna Kitten herself in a dress fitting to the theme. When I visited the exhibition before the opening, I had the luck to meet Joanna there and she changed into the dress she was wearing for some of the presented pictures.

Sunday, October 2nd, I was inworld several times during the day. I just roamed around, had a chat here and there and tried to get into any trouble. I failed!
I talked with Kitty quite a while and we caught up with our RL and SL news. In the later afternoon I met with slave Mercy (I forgot to take a picture). I hadn’t seen her in a while and she needs more trainig and has to practice poses and rituals. Well, I have all the time in the world.
at night I played a skipee with Flo and Sarah Fhang, then as teams with slave Holly against Sarah and Flo. It was a very close game, slave Holly and I won it just by 2 cards. Sarah left for bed after the game.
slave Alessi came inworld right in time and I took Flo, slave Holly and slave Alessi to Carnal Intentions.
After Flo had left for bed, slave Holly also went off as she was tired. I took slave Alessi with me to club DeLust for a while and that’s it for that Sunday.

Monday, October 3rd, I was inworld in the later morning and I met an interesting domme. We had a play together (no pictures). I stayed uplaned quite long in SL and enjoyed. Good that it was a holiday, so that I could be a bit lazy.
As none of the family was inworld at night, when I came back, I went visitig Cica Ghost’s newest exhibition “Pumpkins and things” http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Epsilon/120/192/25 (read here https://wp.me/psPPu-8zp). by the end of my visit, the family had gathered. Flo, slave Holly and slave Alessi were present. Although it was already quite a bit late we began a skipee as teams and it took quite long. It was a close game and distracted me well from RL – as it should be!
Flo went off to bed as it was far beyond her betime already. I took slave Alessi and slave Holly to club Domme a Domme for 10 minutes, then we returned home and I went off to bed.

Tuesday, October 4th, I was not inworld, I returned Wednesday, October 5th, at night. After two stressful day I was happy just to play two rounds of skippe with Flo first. After tht games I put Flo in her Ocotber outfit. I had selected an Halloweem outfit for the slaves.
slave Holly came inworld and after I made a picture of her and slave Holly with me, we had another round of skipee. Flo lsft for bed after the game and I put slave Holly in her October outfit, then we went to club DeLust and just chatted until it was time for bed.

Art in Second Life 2022 (83) “Pumpkins and things” by Cica Ghost

Monday, October 3rd, Cica Ghost opened her next installation, that fits to the upcoming Halloween season. She named it “Pumpkins and things“. The thought Cica provides with the landmark description is a quote from Edgar Allan Poe: “Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.”

As usual with Cica’s installation you shall use shared environment. You will get reminded upon landing. You should also set advanced lighting and activate shadows from sun/moon and projectors. The environment settings are part of Cica’s art. For “Pumpkins and things” she selected an orange and glowing environment fitting to the seaon. The ground is also mostly orange. The “flowers” fit to the theme: Ghosts, spider sunflowers, spider nets and pumpkins in all forms. The island of “Pumpkins and things” has several hills and some ponds. The buildings are either “Cica-ish” or surprise, surprise pumpkins.

What else? Monsters, ghosts, spiders, “wormans”, bats , an old man and a witch, an evil balloon, two “sipirt deers” and quite some new cats! I didn’t have to search a cat this time *winks*. There are several places to dance in this Halloween atmosphere. And of course there’s also a graveyard, which is guarded by a monster.

Cica’s “Pumpkins and things” serves all common clichés about Halloween but in a funny way. There’s nothing really scary. The characters are peaceful and I did smile a lot seeing how Cica interpreted Halloween. Well done, Cica!

I enjoyed the many cats, and the old man and the witch look fatanstic! I think that the “spirit deers”, that look more like trees and are an hint to the upcoming season, are just a very creative idea.
Cica has a store in a seperate pumpkin at “Pumpkins and things” where you can buy all the new characters including the new cats.

Thank you for another great installation, Cica, it made me smile once again and distracted me. Visiting your installations is always a welcomed time-out where you can immerse yourself into another fantasy world – far way from everyday life – particular considering all the crisises in the world.
As always, don’t wait to long with your visit to “Pumpkins and things” , you never know how long it may stay – it is a temporary world. maybe Cica keeps it until Halloweem. I would appreciate that!

My RL was still quite busy and my online times were erratic.
Thursday, September 29th, I ran late and met Flo at the skipee table. we caught up with our nes, then we played 3 rounds of skipee. By the end of the 3rd round slave Holly, being also later than usual, joined us as well as slave Alessi. We went to Carnal Intentions and first we were alone in the club – that was really strange was rare. Argi joined us and entertained us, Flo left a bit later then usual. I had another rexing night after a busy day.

Friday, September 30th, we had our regular party. slave Holly had provided the idea for the theme: “It’s Friday again, the start into our weekend. In Munich the Octoberfest is still going on. Wear a Dirndl or something in the colours of Bavaria (blue and white rhombs), or come as you are and start the weekend with us. DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.”
Now what is a “dirndl”? It is a tradional Bavarian dress and Dely wore one. Instead of beer, Starbright provided an ice cream truck.
We had fun as every Friday.

Saturday, October 1st, I had quite some time online. I tried to find some trouble and distraction but couldn’t find any. I had a short time with slave Susan at club DeLust. At night I played two rounds of skipee with Flo, close games which I lost both by just 1 card. I took Flo to Carnal Intentions where slave Alessi joined us. Later I spent some time with Alessi at club DeLust. That’s all for die diary.

Art in Second Life 2022 (82) The Art of Living in.adHD @ The 22 art space in Bellisseria

A new exhibition was opened today at The 22 art space in Bellisseria: “The Art of Living in.adHD” – a self exploration by DeCarlo Maximus FitzGerald (Reddee Hian).

I got a notecard together with the invitation explaing the background of the exhibition:

The Art of Living With ADHD is a photo essay consisting of 14 (nice even number) images that run from amusing to moving and all the feelings in between.
“Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and into adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity)….
Approximately one-third of children diagnosed with ADHD retain the diagnosis into adulthood.”

DeCarlo uses his imagination, his environment and his ADHD to present us with what he is feeling and is sure to stir similar emotions in all that view his work.

Impressions of “The Art of Living in.adHD” @ The 22 Art Space in Bellisseria (1)

All pictures are photographs taken in RL and imported into Secon Life. The characters in the pictures are toy figures, made of plastic, paper or cardboard like the one shown in the exhibition poster. And each picture has a short clear title and is signed with “ADHphotographyD”. Beside that some of the pictures are qutie funny, most of them inspire to reflect the disease that is so widely spreaded. Though the loneliness  that is expressed in some of the pictures did touch me, my favourit picture is named “inside my brain” – if you want to sort this chaos you really need patience and have to be very focused!

It is the first time that I saw pictures by DeCarlo Maximus FitzGerald (Reddee Hian). DeCarlo is in Second Life since end of 2006 – and that’s all I could find out.

The 22 Art space is a gallery in Bellisseria, a continent with many Second Life prime members homes. The gallery is on one of these homes. It is owned and curated by Randy Firebrand and Ricco Saenz. The gallery’s name refers to the Modern Art Week in 1922 in Brazil, also known locally as “The 22 Week”.

Thank you Ricco Saenz and Randy Firebrand for enabling and presenting this exhibition. You guys find always something new, being it a new artist, a new concept or exhibitions with a message. Thank you DeCarlo Maximus FitzGerald (Reddee Hian) for your artwork. I enjoyed my visit.

Saturday, September 24th, I could come inworld at night. slave Lily (Lily Bloodrose) and slave Flo were playing skipee. When they had finished we played 2 rounds with 3 … and then slave Alessi joine and we had a game as teams. Flo and I won it by the way. After the game it wasalready way over Flo-time and slave Lily and Flo went off to bed. I took slave Alessi to club DeLust for a while. We chatted …after half and hour we returned home and I went off again.

Sunday, September 25th, I had a skipee as teams at night. Flo and I won it against Sarah Fhang and Luci Glendale. While we played slave Alessi and slave Holly came inworld. After the game Sarah went off to bed and I took slave Holly, slave Alessi, Luci and Flo to Carnal Intentions. Luci left us soon later. We just chatted and looked good. It was relaxing, in particular as I knew that I would have another busy week ahead. Later Argi joined us there.

September 24th/25th: Diomita at club DeLust with slave Alessi / Diomita at Carnal Intentions with Flo, slave Holly and slave Alessi

Monday, September 26th, I played a round of skipee with slave Lily and Sarah Fhang, then another one with slave Lily, slave Susan (Susanblackrose) and Sarah Fhang. After the games, Sarah and slave Susan went off to bed and I went to club DeLust with slave Lily. I had just arrived at the club when slave Holly logged in and I summoned her to me. I chatted the rest of the night with slave Lily and slave Holly. after slave Lily had went off to bed, I took slave Holly with me to Carnal Intentions for a bit before I logged off myself.

September 26th: Diomita at club DeLust and at Carnal Intentions with slave Lily and slave Holly

Tuesday, September 27th, I played a skipee with Flo, Lily and slave Holly first. After the game, slave Lily and slave Holly had to leave – and I had a phone call that refrained me from SL for one hour. Upon my return, just Flo was present and we played 2 more rounds of skipee until Flo-time. At that time slave Holly returned online and I took her to club DeLust for a while. We just chatted and watched the crowd.

Wednesday, September 28th, was another busy day in RL for me. Days simply go by when you’re busy. At night I had 2 rounds of skipee with Flo, then our home was restarted by LL and we had to leave. I took Flo to club DeLust. Soon later, slave Holly came inworld and she was teleported to a safe hub as home was not online. I summoned ehr to us and we had a realxed time at the club, just chatting and watching the crowd. slave Holl ymre a picture of her “arena view” with all the names in the dark.

A week busy in RL .. and just playing skipee and chatting and looking good. I knew that another busy week was ahead.

Diary 2022 (127) September 19th – 23rd RL first

My busy times in RL continued preventing me to get in-world as much as usual. Monday, September 19th, I just peeked in in the afternoon for 5 minutes to pay tier and to check messages. When I came inworld late at night, Angelique, slave Holly, slave Lily and slave Susan were present and we played a round a skipee – just perfect for me to wind down after a full day. After the game Angelique, slave Lily and slave Susan went off to bed and I visited club DeLust with slave Holly for a bit. Then we returned home as I had to pee before going to bed.

September 19th: Diomita and slave Holly at club DeLust and at home

Tuesday, September 20th, I was inworld late night. My family and slaves were all gone (to bed?) … hence I just checked messages and went off again. And Wednesday, September 21st, I was inworld in the later morning to check messages. At night I found the time to play a round of skipee as teams with Flo, slave Lily and slave Holly. It was a close game and did distract me perfectly. Flo and slave Holly won it. Then I went off to bed.
Thursday I was not inworld during the day at all. At night I informed Virgo to have a Friday night party without any theme: “It’s Friday again and that means that we celebrate the start of our weekend. There’s no theme tonight – surprise the other guests, or just come as you are (even naked). DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.” I had a round of skipee with Angelique, Flo, slave Lily (Lily Bloodroes) and Luci Glendale. Then I had to tend to my RL again.

Friday, September 23rd, I made it for the party and was inworld just when it began. Virgo had troubles to stream her music, hence we had to switch to radio.
