Simploring 2021 (19) Blisston Village

I had a short but enjoyable little simploring tour on Thursday, April 15th. I had got a group message about a new built from Ida Carlberg: Blisston Village.

Blisston Village: Bird’s eye view and orientation map

Blisston Village is part of the Bliston Quarter in Bay City. It covers a small plot on mainland, rated general, and is owned and created by Ida Carlberg. It’s a neat small village. The landing is quite in the center at a market, which is worth a visit. There’re quite some stands with fresh fruits, vegetables and other goods you’d buy at a market. The marketplace is surrounded by townhouses and shops. At the time of my visit on April 15th, there were quite some shops, stores and appartments still available, as Blisston Village had just come into existence. Two stores (Limelight and Ida:C) are already rented out. You can grab a notecard with the available stores, shops and appartments by clicking on the advertising pillar on the marketplace.

One shop is occupied by a gallery showcasing the art of Evola Courtois, again an artist I never cam across before so far. I can imagine that there will be some other artists presenting their art at Blisston Village some time soon. Next to the marketplace is a quite large greenhouse that is used as event and meeting hall. I like the setup of it.

At one corner you find the “Couriosity Park”, a small fair with a roundabout, a wheel of fortune, two shooting galleries, some arcade games and a small playground for kids. Above the fair levitates a hot air ballon, you can enter the basket by climbing up a ladder. From up there you have a nice view. As a little extra, there’s a Cica-girl (a figure created by Cica Ghost) in the park. As a fan of Cica Ghost’s art, I did recognize it immediately.

The hightlight of Blisston Village might be the Unicorn Museum, where you can find unicorns in every size, be it tall as a horse or small as a toy for kids. A board has a quite good and educational text about “The Unicorn”.

Blisston village is a small sim, a place for either a short but enjoyable simploring tour or for visiting the fair and the Unicorn Museum. It proves that you don’t need that much space or prims to create a nice environment. With more shops and galleries, maybe a few events in the greenhouse, I can imagine that it become home and a meeting place for quite some people.
Thank you, Ida Carlberg for creating this place and sharing it publicly.

Noelia Island hunt

In April I wrote about Noelia Island. Quite some time ago I got a group message inviting me for a hunt. It took me some time but during the last days I managed to finally return to Noelia and to do the hunt. The hunt starts with a notecard that you’ll get when you land on Noelia Island and which describes the beckground for the hunt: “NOELIA Island Hunt intends to remind you of your inner wisdom. You will find some precious quotes, which you might like or ponder over. Enjoy the atmosphere of the island, the calmness, beauty and peace, while exploring Noelia and hunting for gifts.
Your task is this:
Noelia’s Magic Stone of Wisdom has lost many of its precious, inspirational quotes. Find them! The island’s people and animals will provide you with information about where the next quote might be. Ask them for hints, as the story unfolds. If you find the right animal or person, many will hold a gift for you. Bring the quotes back to the magic stone of wisdom!

As you can see on the picture above the hunt is due to be closed by June 30th. But it is still open and set up (at least it was on July 6th), so you might need to hurry for doing it. The hunt leads you all across the island, to all the lovely spots that I decribed already back in April. It will take you about one hour and you’ll get some nice prizes like clothes and decorations and a lovely necklace. I really enjoyed the hunt and had fun. And unwrapping the gifts that I got was fun too. And I did keep some of the hunting gifts.

Thank you Ida Carlberg and Lyshco for providing this island for us and for setting up the enjoyable hunt. And if the hunt is over when you visit Noelia Island, then just enjoy your visit!

The Jungle of Sin

April 8th: A visit to the Jungle of Sin

April 8th: A visit to the Jungle of Sin

I got an instant message on Thursday from Marja Geesink. She read my simploring post about Noelia Island and she recommended to visit the
Jungle of Sin

At the landing point you get some information about the sim and the roleplay. It is not Gor, but for playing you’ll need to get a free meter and for your own safety get a bow and arrows. I didn’t get both as I wanted to explore first and my main interest wasn’t CARP nor fighting. It simply depends what you’re looking for. A teleporter pad brings you to the jungle, well first it brings you to the comunity area with further information about events, parties, opportunties to rent, or scheduled group roleplays. But from there you’ll enter the Jungle of Sin.

The jungle is, like Marja said, beside being an adult roleplay sim, a place to enjoy. There are waterfalls, spots to sit and mediate, several places to dance and for a kinky person like myself there’s more to discover. I first explored the beautiful side of the jungle, the spots to stop and enjoy the view, the shore and some ruins.

When you walk around like I did, you certainly will notice the temple that is placed on the top of one of the hills. It caught my attention and I climbed up there. What a strange place. It seems that is a made for sacrificial rituals. I couldn’t resist to try the spot for the victim. I can imagine that you can realize some adult fantasies at this spot. Nonetheless it is a bit scary.
20160408 Jungle of Sin_027After visiting the temple I found the entrance to a vast maze that seems to spread quite far across the whole sim. I did loose my way in there. There are several dead ends in the maze, and my way back was blocked more than once by the collapsing of the tunnel. If you’re lucky, you’re in a cave with a bed or with a couple dance animation. Well, the couple dance will only help, when you’re not discovering on your own. In the maze I found a secret treasure of gold. But once again the tunnel was collapsing behind me making it impossible to retrieve the treasure, shame!
20160408 Jungle of Sin_028After finding a way out of the maze, I discovered a camp with a red flag. I assume it is the camp of the red group for carp roleplay scenes. There are possibilites to keep a victim and to play. I also found a spot with cages that is made for selling slaves. Approaching the temple from a lower level, I discovered that it is the place of the blue group. Below the temple is a dungeon and prison and in one dead end there lives a dragon. When I woke up the beast it began to spew fire. With an active relay I’d be killed.
20160408 Jungle of Sin_029As you can see, there’s a lot to discover and I’m sure that I didn’t see all yet. There were some hunters and players present when I visited but beside the dragon none attacked me. I could discover undisturbed. I assume that there was no roleplay ongoing that I disturbed, otherwise I might have got a warning. Anyway, that’s still not all what I discovered. There’s a sky village where you can rent a hut with an view down to the jungle. There’s a traning area for those who want to get familiar with bow and arrow and with combat in the jungle and there’s a lovely game area with greedy and cards against humanity. So quite a lot to explore at the Jungle of Sin!

Thank you Marja for the recommendation.
The Jungle is owned by the Jungle of Sin group. As far as I understood Marja, the sim was owned first by Ida Carlberg, the owner of Noelia Island.
I enjoyed my visit and it might not be my last. If you visit be aware of the dragon and have fun. And if you’re a roleplayer and love combat and adult play, this could be your playground, your jungle soon.

P.S.: I got an IM from Marja lateron, who told me that Ithian (ithian.resident) is the owner of the sim nowadays. So thank you Ithian for providing this peice of SL for all of us.

Noelia Island

Sunday mornings I often explore Second Life’s beauty on my own, and so I did this morning. My destination today was Noelia Island. I read about it in Inara Pey’s Living in a Modemworld blog. Her post is titeled “Mediterranean meditations in Second Life” and I recommend reading it before your visit as it provides a good overview.

The landmark description text is also a good summary of what to do on Noelia Island “Explore Noelia, a beautiful Mediterranean island. Couple dance, date, romance or cuddle in the romantic spots, take a fun boat ride, relax on the beach, take photos or meditate near the Budda“. Last but not least there’s a blog about Noelia Island.
Back to my visit. I first went up the hill to visit the Tuscan villa. It is build with love for the details and I spent more time there than I expected. In particular the reading pose on the terrace is really lovely. I can literally see myself doing that in RL…
20160403 Noelia Island_040After my visit to the villa I walked along the shore and came to the mystic cave. It is not a maze, but as the name implies it has some mystic. There’s a ghost welcoming you, there’s a spiders net and a flying chair (of course I also sat on it but looking at it was more fun). I also saw a dance pole in the cave for mystic moments together.
20160403 Noelia Island_041Then I walked over the large rope bridge to the smaller island, the meditation island. There are several spots to mediate also a Buddha as mentioned in the landmark description. I tried several of them but personally I think I’ll get more into mediation with the reading pose at the villa mentioned above. And there’s the stone of wisdom … When you click on it you’ll get wisdoms to think about like….
The Magic Stone of Wisdom says: Don’t make an effort to love the world. Love your internal world and the world will be different. – Byron Katie
The Magic Stone of Wisdom says: A solid foundation for all relationships, be they romantic or otherwise, begins with Self love. Your reality is a reflection of your vibrational state, and as such, others will reflect back to you your own beliefs about your Self.
The Magic Stone of Wisdom says: If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right. – Henry Ford

The Islands beauty itself is worth a visit and I took several pictures and tried several spots to sit and enjoy.

But there’s something else, a large dance and disco area and a bumper boat rezzer. I never drove a bumper boat before neither in SL nor in RL. Well, now I did. And it is real fun. As Kitty came online I had to take her there and we had fun. When the boats hit each other exclamation marks appear above the drivers. That is for sure something to do with more people!

Thank you Ida Carlberg and Lyshco for providing this island for us. I look forward to my next visit.
