Art in Second Life 2020 (75) Kalliope Bennet – There was a reason to stay

I visited Dixmix Gallery again and saw the exhibtion by Kalliope Bennet “There was a reason to stay” in room Abby.

The exhibition room looks a bit pale and cool with all walls, floor and ceiling held in a grey, lightly blue tone and the pictures are not colourful either yet also held in pale tones some more tending to blue, others to brown or grey tones. “There was a reason to stay” consists of 10 pictures. In most of them we see a the back of a woman looking out into the nature. The pictures are not only held in one coloursheme they are also a bit blurry like fading memories. So there was a reason to stay at these spots for these women (or is it one and the same), be it a favourite landscape, be the memory of a particular moment .. whatever it is, people sometimes stay as their thoughts wander to another time or place.
The selection and the setting of the pictures is well done, it simply fits.

It’s the first time I came across Kalliope Bennet (tsocolat) and I couldn’t find out much about her. She’s in Second Life for over 8 years. And reading her profile I could sense how the pictures fit to her, how they express herself. You can see more of her work on her flickr page.

Simploring 2020 (78) Midnight in Paris

Once again I picked my simploring destination for Wednesday, November 4th, from scoop.it SL Desinations. The entry for Midnight in Paris caught my eye. It led to post of Inara Pey “Midnight in Paris in Second Life” and after reading it, I decided to visit myself.

Midnight in Paris is a homestead, rated general, owned and created by Billie (littlesquaw). Billie is also the creaotr of BKLYN, a place I visited in April 2020 (read Simploring 2020 (32) BKLYN). This time Billie selected Paris at night for her town scene. In order to see it properly you should use the preset windlight and switch advanced ligting on.

The landing is inside of a houseboat on the river Seine. You step outside and WOW – what a view. Billie has created a quite realistic night scene of Paris. I was overwhelmed immediately.

I began to explore and left the boat, I crossed the bridge and it was raining. My latex dress and the overknee booty was once the right outfit for simploring! Billie selected the light very smart and you can see the reflections on the puddle on the street. There are also some static figures on the streets to liven up the scenery.

I went seeing the louvre with the Eiffel Tower in the background. I really got the feeling of being in Paris, a town that I have visited back in 2014 the last time in the physcial world.

But there’s more to see at Midnight in Paris, not just the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the promenade along the river Seine. Behind a Bistro there’s a passage leading to a cul-de-sac road. And that is designed really well, almost perfect. There are so many little details to discover, be it the graffiti at the wall, the different stores, signs, bicycles, garbage tons, a chair, the illumination above the street, etc.

After a while I returned to the promenade and found way more scenes and places to take pictures.

What a great place to immerse yourself into Paris at night! And what a great place for taking pictures in Second Life. I had a great time. And I was and I still am impressed of Billie (littlesquaw)’s work. Thank you for creating Midnight in Paris, Billie, and for sharing it with the public.

Diary 2020 (154) November 4th/5th A present for Angelique

When I came inworld in the afternoon of Wednesday, November 4th, Mistress Jenny was already inworld and in our house with Ebony and Angelique. Ebony had been cleaning the house. Hence our afternoon began busy in particular as Lucy (MissLucyWales) joined in as well. Alessi (Alessi 20) also came to the house but didn’t want to disturb and waited outside.

November 4th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at BDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club with Angelique, Ebony, Lucy (MissLucyWales) and Alessi (Alessi20)

We decided to visit a club and went to BDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club, where Mistress and I caught up with our news RL and SL while Mistress also talked with Lucy and while I also talked with Alessi. One issue I reported to Mistress was that Angelique had told me that she finally locked her diapers and started the incontinence script contained. You have to understand and know that Angelique is not into adult baby play nor does she like diapers. So why is she playing with diapers then? Angelique has a weakness for holding back pee but hardly none can understand that and even less people do play or roleplay around it. And our niece Angelique is quite adventurous. Hence to get more chances to meet fitting people Angelique started to look into diapers – and when you have them, then you should play with them.

Why am I telling this all? You know the Enjoying Bondage series in the blog. Once a month I select or create a bondage picture related to our activities that month. The day before I had shown a draft for the November picture to Mistress and talking about our activities she and I joked about an “Enjoying Diapers” picture for November. Long story short, I created an according picture and showed it to Mistress that afternoon. Mistress was excited about it and we decided it should be a rezz day present for Angelique who celebrates her 13th rezzing anniversary the next day, November 5th.

We stayed about an hour at the club then we had to tend to our RL again. At night I was inworld early and went on a simploring tour. Upon my return Angelique and slave Flo were present at home and playing skipee. I watched them for a bit, then Mistress came inworld too. Angelique and slave Flo stopped playing so that we all could play together as teams. For me it was a disappointing game as I watched most of the times having bad luck with my cards. That happens *winks*. slave Flo and I lost the game accordingly.

After the game we went to Caged Elegance to join Gravity’s party there for half an hour. We had fun dancing to good music and we chatted a lot among us. slave Flo is still having worries in her RL and that kills her mood for being kinky. We can’t do much but listen and being there for her. We shared our plans for Angelique and slave Flo sent money to us that we should spend on Angelique for her rezzday anniversary and us. Of course we will!

November 4th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with Angelique and Flo at home and dancing at Caged Elegance

When the dance at Cage Elegance had ended we moved on to Mesmerize Dungeon. Mistress and I teased Angelique about her upcoming rezzday and told her to expect some presents including rezzday spanks. Flo left at flotime. We stayed a bit longer at Mesmerize Dungeon. Close to midnight we returned home to our skybox and we took Angelique with us to give her her first rezzday present – the above shown Enjoying Diapers picture. She was not as shocked as I had thought. She took it with humour confirming once again that she dislikes diapers – see above in this diary entry.

November 4th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with Angelique and Flo at Mesmerize Dungeon / with Angelique in our skybox giving her our first rezzday present

It had been a full but enjoyable day.

Thursday, November 5th, I had some time with Mistress in the earlier afternoon. We went to Psi’s realm where it was full and where we had a lot to watch. After an hour Mistress had to leave and I went on a simploring tour.

When we met again at night Mistress allowed me to lick her, so that my basic addiction firstly was satisfied and secondly kept up *winks*. After this lovely start into our night we went seein Angelique and slave Flo. We celebrated Angelique’s 13th rezzday with a shopping spree. We took her to Xtra Ordiniary and to Violet Seduction. Angelique got dresses from Mistress Jenny, from slave Flo and from me. That took a while of course.

November 5th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Psi’s realm and at home / shopping with Angelique / Angelique gets her rezzday spanks

Back home Angelique got her rezzday spanks. Due to her diapers I had to spank hard in order that she could feel them. We had a game of skipee as teams, that Flo and I lost again and then we all had to go to bed.

Art In Second Life 2020 (74) Sophie de Saint Phalle at the Galleries of New Babylon

I got an invitation to attend the exhibtion of Sophie de Saint Phalle at the Galleries of New Babylon. New Babylon is the new location of the former Babylon Berlin Club.

The galleries are in a skybox. It is a modern gallery with two floors, high ceilings and flooded with light inside so that the exhibits can develop their expression.
Sophie de Saint Phalle is formerly known as Sophie Marie Sinclair (perpetua1010) and I have seen quite of her art already. Sophie also owns her own gallery in Second Life, the SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Center.

At the Galleries of New Babylon she showcases parts of her exhibtion “Terra Australis” (read here), some of her more erotic pictures anda few colourful more abstract pictures. So it is a nice selection of her art, there are just her caricatures missing. All of her art just looks great in this environment.

Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) is a Austrian RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kind of paint and lithography. Her favourite materials are sand, plaster, glue, terracotta, stones, bones, ash, charcoal, natural pigments and more.
Sophie has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the Unites States, Australia, Rome and Monaco.

The exhibtion of Sophie de Saint Phalle at the Galleries at New Babylon should be open until Mid of December.

Diary 2020 (153) November 2nd/3rd Still under a red light

I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon again, Monday, November 2nd. We stayed at home first and caught up with our mutual news. Then Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. We retruned home at flotime, said good night to the slaves and Mistress and I spent a short time at Puerto Esclava before we went to bed ourselves.

Simploring 2020 (77) Clef des Champs

Sunday, November 1st, I went on another Autmn simploring tour. I picked Clef des Champs from scoop.it SL Destinations because of the lovely Autumn picture. The post led to a post from Maddy Gynoid “Simtipp: Clef des Champs – Herbst 2020“.

Clef des Champs is a full moderate region owned by Rose Ulrik (Rose Siabonne). Rose’s partner Renan Ulrik contributed as well to the sim.

I was not disappointed, Clef des Champs is a great place to enjoy the colours of Autumn. And there’s a lot to discover, many views to enjoy. There’re enough places to sit and cuddle and to enjoy. At many places you can also use an intan to dance.
I refrained from making a real orientation map as most of the sim is covered with forest. There’re trails to follow, quite a lot of residential houses, some meadows with grazing horses and beach plots where you can enjoy the view on the sea.

I didn’t find out, if all houses are for rent, but some are and there were some available for rent at the time of my visit. Hence I didn’t walk into the houses. I also found one prefab houses that is rezzed obviously to showcase it.

In Maddy’s post I read that Hors du temps is another sim Rose Ulrik (Rose Siabonne) that is closed in the meanwhile. On the ground your find some teleporter pads that can be used to get around quickly to twwo other spots on the sim and to get to 2 others places in the sky: Winter and BDSM. I didn’t go there (yet).

The preset windlight is a bit too light in my opinion and hence I darkened it a bit for my pictures. This way I got a lot of real nice Autum impressions.

Most areas at Clef des Champs are free to visit and there’re also some houses, like the gazebo, that are clearly not for rent but for public use. I spent far over an hour just walking around and enjoying the views. Clef des Champs is another beautiful place to enjoy the colours of Autumn. Did I mention in this blog alread that I love Autumn in general and in Second Life? *winks*

Diary 2020 (152) Oct 31st / Nov 1st Updated queening seat

I met with Mistress Jenny Saturday, October 31st, in the afternoon. I got an update of the queening seat, that Mistress often uses to get licked and to provide my fix *winks*. We went to BDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club next, where we met Lucy, and stayed there for a short time. Then we moved on to Puerto Esclava and to club Domme a Domme before we returned home and cleaned up our home from the party. Cleaning up is always was quicker than decorating. When we were done we returned to club Domme a Domme for another 15 minutes, then it was time for Mistress and me to tend to our RL.

At night Angelique was at home and we played a greedy first. Angelique was wearing a skirt that I couldn’t find on the marketplace. It was from Moon Elixir. Obviously is was a part of a gatcha set. I don’t like gatchas as you pay way too much for it usually. Anyway, I asked Angelique about it and she said it wasn’t a gatcha. we went to the store to find it there, but found out that it really is part of a gatcha set, at least now.

October 31st: Diomita and Angelique at Moon Elixir shop / at BDSM Lifstyle Swingers Club with slave Melissa and Alessi (Alessi20)

slave Melissa came inworld and we returned home. We had another guest at home. A sub, Alessi (Alessi20) who had called me before. She is quite new to SL, just one week old, and exploring what SL has to offer. She seems not to be a restart or an alt, and I gave her some hints before. Anyway, now she was at our home and Angelique and I took her with us and slave Melissa to BEDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club.

I had changed into my “Angelique body” and thus Angelique and I looked quite like twins. That always does excite me a bit. Angelique and I talked about her newest plans regarding add ons for the body, I played with slave Melissa’s hood to further understand it and I slowly restricted Alessi. Angelique left quite early and I continued playing. I found out how to add pictures to slave Melissa’s hood – what a lovely way to further condition her. Time flew by. At around flotime I took the girls home and went roaming on my own for a bit before I went off myself.

Sunday, November 1st, I went on another simploring tour in the later morning. Once again I enjoyed the colours Autumn. When I returned inworld in the afternoon I went to BDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club where I met Lucy (MissLucyWales) and we chatted a bit while she was kneeling at my feet. Mistress Jenny joined us there 15 minutes later. I caught up with Mistress Jenny about RL and SL and after Lucy had left I took her place and knelt at Mistress feet. Mistress wouldn’t be online at night again and thus we just enjoyed our limited time together.

We stayed there for about one hour and I chatted with all of them – and had no time to follow what else was going on there. Form time to time I changed slave Melissa’s vision or Alessi’s restriction and pose.

After slave Flo and Angelique had went off to bed (before flotime), I took slave Melissa and Alessi to Psi’s realm and used Alessi as my chair. It seemed to be the night of human chairs. It was full at Psi’s realm and two other human chairs were in use. I had fun watching and continued playing with slave Melissa’s hood. At around flotime I headed home and to bed.

Simploring 2020 (76) Still Waters

Wednesday, Ocotber 21st, I saw several pictures of Still Waters on scoop.it SL Destinations. One entry led to a post from Maddy Gynoid “Simtipp: Still Waters (Herbst 2020)“. After reading it, I almost had to visit it as I like the colours of Autumn and I hadn’t yet visited a sim dedicated to the foliage this year. To say it right away, I was not disappointed at all

Still Waters is a moderate homestead, owned by Talia (Natalia Corvale), who also owns Broken, which I visited last year (read here)

Still Waters is a sim to enjoy the colours of Autumn. The island has the form of a hoof, the sim surround fits perfectly. The landing is on a pier right next to one of a few residential homes on the island. The house is fully furnished and the doors were open, hence I dared to have a look into it. The other houses are also furnished as far as I could see through the windows.

Next to the house is a meadow, blooming in yellow, where two horses are grazing. They can be ridden and I took one for a ride.

The views I got were just overwhelming, the windlight fits perfect and the leaves almost glow. Amazing. I came along a waterfall and stopped at a chariot used to showcase books. I hadn’t seen it in Second Life ever before.

I left the horse and continued on foot I walked up the hills. Above the waterfall is a great place for a break, lovely decorated for the season. Maddy had fun watching the fox there – and I also enjoyed that in particular besides the great view.

There are many more places to sit and enjoy the views. I took many pictures and enjoyed the Autumn, Still Waters is just beautiful and I’m really happy that I visited and had my Autumn trip. Hence, if you love the colours of Autumn, I strongly recommend to visit Still Waters.

Diary 2020 (151) October 30th – Our early Halloween party

Friday, October 30th, Mistress was not inworld during the day. I was inworld several times during the day. I met Angelique when I came online the first time, originally just to send out more reminders for our Halloween party at night. Later I went on a simploring tour and revisited Dagger Bay, the place around the Beguinage of Bruges, which exists in the real world (read here and here). I enjoyed the colours of Autumn there. In late afternoon I went visiting a gallery and after this visit I roamed around a bit hopping from club to club.

What really happens rarely in this day and age in Second Life, happened while I was at club Domme a Domme. I was attaked with a taser and kidnapped. My kidnapper was really familiar with the real restraint cuffs that I was wearing. She gave me no chance to escape, gagged me and brought me to her place where she fisxed me on a rack. I was absolutely helpless. She was together with her mate, I assume her slave. She began to picture her plans for me and it was very scary. She planned to cut off my arms and legs, to encase me in rubber and to use what was left for her amusement only. Luck for me, that she asked me in IM if that sort of sadistic rp was my cup of tea – and it was not. She has had her fun teasing me and I admit the kidnapping itself was really exciting.

October 30th: Diomita kidnapped

At night I first met with Angelique. She had already changed into the outfit for our Halloween party, the St. Trinian’s School reunion. Mistress had proposed that we all wear the outfit that we wore when we were three Angeliques. And Mistress had selected an extra straw head and a hockeystick to wear with it. I changed as well and I was about to take a picture of the two of us, when Mistress and slave Flo came inworld as well. I made a few pictures before we went to the school hall.

Our Halloween party was a big success. We really had fun. The set up that Mistress had created was perfect and our concerns that it might be too small for dancing were proven wrong. Our friends came in stunning outfits. Baroness Capelo in her big pirate disguise, Starbright Wingtips as a witch with a broomstick, Della with a fancy hairstyle and long nails, papafox57 a the death himself, Talosborn as a dark angel, Virgo our djy as a skeleton, Ebony as a strict teacher, slave Flo chose a traditional Halloween costume as well as Firefly Starlight and Linda Foxtrott (LindaleeFox).

We opened the contest for the best outfit after an hour. Lucy (MissLucyWales) and Ebony had donated some extra money so that we had 2,700 L$ at the board. After midnight we closed the contest. The przie was splitted according to the votes. Angelique won with 3 votes, we had several 2nd places and also some with one vote – but most of all we had fun!

Angelique made some pictures as well, very good pictures….

We danced until almost 1 AM. Argi joined us late, but she did :-). Mistress was very satisfied and she decided to reward me for my help and allower me to lick her before we went off to bed. I visited Etamae and Imaginary Footprints (01Matthew10)’s exhibtion “Memories of a Foreign Reality” at the white pavillion at Itakos Project Art Gallery.

In the accompanying notecard the artists describe the background of this exhibtion:
“Memories of a foreign reality`s main thought is based on the struggles and feelings of disconnection of the individual.

Back in the 60`s and 70`s there was a need to raise this individualism as the holy grail. We evolved the individual to the highest goal, and now we see the result.
Millions of confused minds are searching for a hold. Entangled in political and economical strategies. The American dream, or the possibility of being a important person on the world wide web has given us a tenuous hold, a fragile rope that can easily be severed.
Populism, preachers, industry each have their play with us. We are living in interesting times of change.
The soul… a character in a context… equal to others… seem to be forgotten. but it is there… it suffers… and it tries to be seen.

The bringing together of two artists who not only admire each other as photographers but as people was a journey that culminated with Memories of a Foreign Reality.
Merging both photography and ideas resulted in some interesting work that evolved as it was passed back and forth until each was content with their own perception of each piece.“

The pictures are all in black and white. They consist of several layers, and some seem to be put together like puzzles. You recognize fragments and pieces in these pictures, often faces, sometimes there’s another photograph peeking through. Most of them convey fear and lonliness, at least for me. The soul is something we can’t grab, maybe the last secret of human beings, if the soul exists. As always everybody does see different things in pictures, everybody makes up different stories. As far as I understood the notecard, the pictures were exchanged between Etamae and Imaginary Footprints, they added and changed them individually until they both were content with the result, until both saw their message conveyed. In this sense the pictures are even more intriguing, there might be two souls, two messages fighting to inspire the spectator.
I like the complexity of these pictures and the many possible interpretations.

I have come across Etamae quite often this year already. Etamae is from the UK and began transforming her pictures from the things she has seen and loved in Second Life into something else, in digital art in 2018. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art. And the exhibition at Itakos Project Art Gallery is no exception. Again she tried out something new.

I didn’t find out much about Imaginary Footprints (01Matthew10), who’s art I saw the first time. He’s in Second Life for almost 4 years and looking up his profile reveals just that he likes philosophical texts. He has a flickr page where you can see more of his pictures – unchanged and not processed by Etamae.

The Itakos Art Gallery is owned and curated by Akim Alonzo. Actually it is a place for arts with four pavillions on two floors and one sky platform. There’s also a website where new exhibtions are announced.
