Art in Second Life 2021 (105) “Fusion Evolution” by Etamae

It’s been a while that I saw anything from Etamae. Last year I had quite some blogposts about Etamae and her art. I visited her Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery (see my blogpost here) and her Extempore Gallery and Lounge (read here). I saw her contribution to the joined exhibition of April 2020 at La Maison d’Aneli (read here). I saw her “little boxes” at Hannington Art Foundation (read here), her “Memories of a Foreign Reality” at Itakos Project Art Gallery (read here) and in January 2021 I saw her exhibition “Waves of Silence” at DixMix Gallery. (read here).

Etamae is in Second Life since January 2016. She’s from the UK and began transforming her pictures from the things she has seen and loved in Second Life into something else, in digital art in 2018. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art. Like all other exhibition of Etamae “Fusion Evolution” at the DixMix Gallery is once again something new. Etamae proves her attitude to try out herself and to further develop her art.

The exhibition “Fusion Evolution” is located in the room Abby at DixMix Gallery. It consists of about a dozen partly quite large pictures. The walls of the room and the floor is kept in black. At the walls you see reflections and light effects coming from two turning pictures located the corners of the exhibtion room. This way Etamae’s pictures develop a certain dynamic as the light effects mix into the pictures around.

All pictures are very colourful, and have strong colours thus contrasting to the dark black room, they a seem to be made of different layers. Some of the layers move and change so that your get permanently a different perspective. Although you can’t really recognize it, Etamae herself is the model who’s face you can see peek through in many of the pictures. She made herself part of her art, evolving through a feast of colours and abstract forms.

Etamae showed again her ability to play with different techniques. I enjoyed my visit a lot. Her artwork is intriguing. Thank you Etamae!
Thank you Dixmix for providing and curating the DixMix Gallery, thank you Megan for building it and for contributing at it.
The exhibition “Fusion Evolution” by Etamae will stay open until mid of November.

Art in Second Life 2021 (10) “Waves of Silence” by Etamae

Last year I had quite some blogposta about Etamae and her art. I visited her Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery (see my blogpost here) and her Extempore Gallery and Lounge (read here). I saw her contribution to the joined exhibtion of Apirl 2020 at La Maison d’Aneli (read here). I saw her “little boxes” at Hannington Art Foundation (read here) and her “Memories of a Foreign Reality” at Itakos Project Art Gallery (read here).

Etamae is in Second Life for almost 5 years. She’s from the UK and began transforming her pictures from the things she has seen and loved in Second Life into something else, in digital art in 2018. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art. And so also the current exhibtion at the DixMix Gallery proves her attitude to always try out different forms of art.

The exhibition “Waves of Silence” is located in the room Abby at DixMix Gallery. It consists of 9 partly quite large pictures. The walls of the room and the floor is kept in grey tones. At the walls you see some shadows of people and objects. The background fits well and is used to contribute to the pictures. The largest picture named “peek”, that you see in front of you when you enter the room consists of two halfs, in the center of the combined pictures is something that looks like a boxing ring, each half shows the silhouette of a person (a boxer?). In fact the left and the right part are just mirrored pictures that were coloured differently. If you step back far enough and look at the picture the shadows on the wall behind add to the picture so that you can recognize a face.
Etamae also played with mirrors in her picture “reflective”, also colouring both (mirrored) halfs differently.

“Waves of Silence” by Etamae at DixMix Gallery (1) – away (upper left) / reflective (upper right) / peek (lower picture)

Etamae’s picture “Waves of Silence”, gave her exhibtion at DixMix Gallery it’s name. In this picture Etame uses several layers (I think just two, but mabye three), that are zoomed in and zoomed out slowly. This way she creates the illusion of waves, colourful waves. It is quite calming to look at it and to watch the slow change of the picture.
In the picture next to it, named “peace”, she uses another and much more visible effect of changing it permanently. The picture has two layers that are permantenly moving against eachother (one to the left side, one the right side). It is one on the same picture, black and white, and shows a face. The upper picture is transparent. There is a moment when both pictures fit exactly, then you see one picture only. But mostly you see the face changing, you see at least 2 faces … or even none. And the changes are quite quick.

“Waves of Silence” by Etamae at DixMix Gallery (2) – Waves of Silence (left side) / peace (right side)

The third technique Etamae is playing with in her exhibtion at DixMix Gallery is a moving a thin layer of grey or fog over her pictures. In her picture “rapture” this makes the background changing just a tiny bit. You do not notice it at the first glance that the picture is animated. In her picture “sleep”, the effect is stronger and quite visible as two second layers (the fog) are moved over the picture against eachother and thus the picture gets partly darkened, but the dark parts move.

“Waves of Silence” by Etamae at DixMix Gallery (2) – rapture (upper) / sleep (lower)

Etamae showed again her ability to play with different techniques. I enjoyed my visit a lot. Her artwork is intriguing. Thank you Etamae!
Thank you Dixmix for providing and curating the DixMix Gallery, thank you Megan for building it and for contributing at it.
The exhibition “Waves of Silence” by Etamae will stay open until February, 19th.

Art in Second Life 2020 (73) Memories of a Foreign Reality

I visited Etamae and Imaginary Footprints (01Matthew10)’s exhibtion “Memories of a Foreign Reality” at the white pavillion at Itakos Project Art Gallery.

In the accompanying notecard the artists describe the background of this exhibtion:
Memories of a foreign reality`s main thought is based on the struggles and feelings of disconnection of the individual.

Back in the 60`s and 70`s there was a need to raise this individualism as the holy grail. We evolved the individual to the highest goal, and now we see the result.
Millions of confused minds are searching for a hold. Entangled in political and economical strategies. The American dream, or the possibility of being a important person on the world wide web has given us a tenuous hold, a fragile rope that can easily be severed.
Populism, preachers, industry each have their play with us. We are living in interesting times of change.
The soul… a character in a context… equal to others… seem to be forgotten. but it is there… it suffers… and it tries to be seen.

“Memories of a Foreign Reality” by Etamae and Imaginary Footprints at Itakos Project Art Gallery (1)

The bringing together of two artists who not only admire each other as photographers but as people was a journey that culminated with Memories of a Foreign Reality.
Merging both photography and ideas resulted in some interesting work that evolved as it was passed back and forth until each was content with their own perception of each piece.

The pictures are all in black and white. They consist of several layers, and some seem to be put together like puzzles. You recognize fragments and pieces in these pictures, often faces, sometimes there’s another photograph peeking through. Most of them convey fear and lonliness, at least for me. The soul is something we can’t grab, maybe the last secret of human beings, if the soul exists. As always everybody does see different things in pictures, everybody makes up different stories. As far as I understood the notecard, the pictures were exchanged between Etamae and Imaginary Footprints, they added and changed them individually until they both were content with the result, until both saw their message conveyed. In this sense the pictures are even more intriguing, there might be two souls, two messages fighting to inspire the spectator.
I like the complexity of these pictures and the many possible interpretations.

I have come across Etamae quite often this year already. Etamae is from the UK and began transforming her pictures from the things she has seen and loved in Second Life into something else, in digital art in 2018. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art. And the exhibition at Itakos Project Art Gallery is no exception. Again she tried out something new.
You can also find her pictures at her flickr page.

I didn’t find out much about Imaginary Footprints (01Matthew10), who’s art I saw the first time. He’s in Second Life for almost 4 years and looking up his profile reveals just that he likes philosophical texts. He has a flickr page where you can see more of his pictures – unchanged and not processed by Etamae.

The Itakos Art Gallery is owned and curated by Akim Alonzo. Actually it is a place for arts with four pavillions on two floors and one sky platform. There’s also a website where new exhibtions are announced.

Art in Second Life 2020 (55) little boxes by Etamae

The Hannington Endowment for The ARTS (HEA-Gallery) features a new art work of Etamae called little boxes. I have seen a lot of Etamae’s work since I came across her first in 2019 when I visited the Elevat Femdom Lounge & Spa (read here). This year I saw her art at La Maison d’Aneli (read here), I saw Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery (read here), I visited her Extempore Gallery and Lounge (read here) and just lately I saw her pictures at the Plaza Art Gallery (read here). Of course I had also to see her newest work.

“little boxes” is not what I would have expected from Etamae. It is based on a song of Malvina Reynolds (August 23, 1900 – March 17, 1978), who was an American folk/blues singer-songwriter and political activist, best known for her songwriting, particularly the songs “Little Boxes” and “What Have They Done to the Rain.” (source wikipedia)
You can hear the song “Little Boxes” on youtube here.

Impressions of Etamae’s installation “little boxes” at HEA-Gallery, Hive 2 (1)

The installation visualizes the song, the text is written on walls and when you click there you listen to the according stanza. The world of little boxes is colourful just as the little boxes in the song: pink, green, blue and yellow. Every part of the song has its visualisation at the installation. It is funny, almost a bit childish and full of irony. Everything is neat and perfect. That combined with the thoughts that Etamae gives us at the entrance makes “little boxes” a particular experience, something to think about:

Impressions of Etamae’s installation “little boxes” at HEA-Gallery, Hive 2 (2)

As a clear opposition to conformity the “little boxes” song frowns uopn the idea of suburbia, talking about more than just the houses but also about the way a great many people lige their lifes.
Conform, own the ideal house, have the right amount of beautiful children, in.fact, embrace the middle class attitudes fully and strive to he just like your neighbours, but remember, the boxes might be different colour, but inside? Well, they are all just the same.
All around us are institutions that frown upon the creators, the free thinkers, all through the ages it has been easier to conform than not, we put ourselves in boxes as good as any respected system and although “little boxes” challenged convention and conformity of the era that it was composed in that does not mean that it has no established meaning today.

She got help from friends to get the necessary building and scripting knowledge – and created something new. Thank you Etamae!

Don’t forget to grab a notecard with more information about the installation “little boxes” and about Etamae at the entrance of the exhibition. The exhibtion shall be open until October 15th, 2020.

HEA Gallery is owned by Hannington Xeltentat and was built by Tansee, who also runs the gallery. Thank you Hannington for providing the space and thank you Tansee from enabling the Etamae’s “little boxes“. I truely enjoyed – and it made me think.

Art in Second Life 2020 (46) Plaza Art Gallery

I got an invitation from Violet Boa to attend an opening at Plaza Art Gallery for Friday, July 17th. As I couldn’t attend the opening and had some time, I went there the day before the opening.

The Plaza Art Gallery is close to a shopping mall. I forgot to check who is running the gallery and the shopping mall, but for sure Violet Boa is involved. The Plaza Art Gallery is a 2 story building next to the shopping mall. On the ground level the work of Kody Meyers (kodymeyers) and of Etamae is showcased. The invitation I got was for these two artists. On the second floor is an exhibtion of the work of Tay (tayana1) and I also visited this exhibition.

The Plaza Art Gallery building

Kody Meyers (kodymeyers) likes to capture the wonderful ambiance and environments created by so many talented landscapers in Second Life, it is his way to relax and explore his imagination: “Each picture depicts a story or is a reminder of an experience one can reflect upon when admiring it. As a perfectionist, I take the time necessary to capture the picture, experimenting with different angles, framings and windlights, until the perfect shot is created — the one that comes alive.
Kody further processes his pictures and at least I couldn’t see that the raw picture was taken in Secons Life. Knowing this background I can imagine that it takes some time to get the results that we can see in his part of the the current exhibtion at Plaza Art Gallery.

Kody Meyers (kodymeyers) at Plaza Art Gallery

I came across Etamae already a few times. I saw “Dominance and Submission” at Elevate Femdom (see here), I saw her work at La Maison D’aneli in April 2020 (see here), I visited her gallery “Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery” (see my blogpost here) and I visited her Extempore Gallery and Lounge (read here).
Etamae is from the UK and began transforming her pictures from the things she has seen and loved in Second Life into something else, in digital art in 2018. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art. I wouldn’t have recognized her as the artist behind the pictures showcased at Plaza Art Gallery, nor would I recognize that the raw picture is taken in Second Life. Well, done!

Etamae at Plaza Art Gallery

On the second floor is the exhibtion of Tay (tayana1). Tay is in Second Life for almost 8 years. Tay says about herself that she’s a dreamer, she loves Life, nature, animals and in particular the ocean. As artist she mostly paints with watercolors. All but one picture featured at Plaza Art Gallery are watercolour art, just one is acrilic. Tay’s art work expresses her dreams well, the pictures radiate peace and a melancholic happiness.

I enjoyed my short visit to the Plaza Art Gallery, thank you for the invitation, Violet Boa. And thank you Kody, Etamae and Tay for you art.

Art in Second Life 2020 (44) Third Eye Gallery – Jaz and Michiel Bechir

I got an invitation to the opening of a new gallery: Third Eye Gallery. I couldn’t attend the opening event but I went there a few days later. For the opening Third Eye Gallery features the collection “Virtual Cities” by Michiel Bechir and “The Awakening” by Jaz (jessamine2108).

Third Eye is Jaz (jessamine2108)’s home and gallery – a place that is designed to showcase art, particles, inspire stories, and offer a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. Jaz says: “It is the culmination of my many dreams – to create a place that nurtures and helps the growth of all types of creative endeavors – be it words, pictures, or particles.

Third Eye Gallery featuring Jaz (jessamine2108)’s art (1)

Jaz has been doing photography in SL since 2018: “It would be more than appropriate to say that Milla (Ladmilla) introduced me to the nuances in the art. While I still have much to learn, I am enjoying every minute of it. Special thanks to Eta (Etamae Resident) for making me look at the amazing possibilities of SL and to Harry Cover (impossibleisnotfrench Resident) for giving me an opportunity and courage to branch out on my own and to be able to collaborate and experiment with mesh with him.”

Third Eye Gallery featuring Jaz (jessamine2108)’s art (2)

Jaz selected “The Awakening” as the title of the collection at Third Eye Gallery. The series is about her changing perception of SL – to the possibilities and to be able to see beyond the surface and showcases the way I now perceive SL. I recognized at least one place that I visited myself: Kohlmannskuppe, a place installed by Serene Footmann. Jaz made a “postcard from the past” from the picture she took at that place – nice work!

Michiel has started his long virtual journey into Second Life as a photographer in 2009. Michiel enjoys seeing new places, meeting new people from all over the world and expierencing the creativity in Second Life (just like I do!). Michiel discovered the possiblities of different tools to improve his pictures. By editing them he also tries to add a personal touch and feeling.

Michiel named the collection of picture showcased at Third Eye Gallery “Virtual Cities”. It shows the the virtual versions of the urban living in its different forms. Included in this exposition are works from his entire period as a photographer in Second Life (2009-2020).

Art in Second Life 2020 (36) Michiel Bechir’s Art Gallery in June/July exhibitions

I got an invitation for an opening party for a new exhibtion at Michiel Bechir’s Art Gallery for Saturday, June 20th. As I had other activities at night in Second Life, I peeked in already on Thursday, June 18th.

The new exhibtion features the art of Pavel Stransky and Hazel Foxtrot on the ground level and the pictures of Jaz (Jessamine2108) on the 2nd floor.

Right at the entrance you see Michiel Bechir’s on work. Experiments with the effect of colors are often done, and more recently he is trying to show the details by working with high resolution photos.

Michiel Bechir’s Gallery in June/July – Michiel Bechir’s own pictures

To the right from the entrance is the room with the pictures of Pavel Stransky, who joined Second Life almost 13 years ago. Pavel Stransky’s motivation to visit sims in Second Life are quite the same as Michiel’s and like Michiel he takes pictures inworld and as far as I could see, Pavel also processes his pictures. But his style is quite comparable with Michiel’s – at least from what I saw. Pavel Stransky has also a flickr account.

Michiel Bechir’s Gallery in June/July – Pavel Stransky

To the left from the entrance is the room with the pictures of Hazel Foxtrot, who is active in Second Live since 2008 and she shares the passion of taking pictures. Her motives are a bit different to those of Michiel and Pavel. 3 of her pictures reminded me of Melusina Parkin’s Roadside pictures (read here), an exhibition that I visited in May. Other picture capture the atmosphere of towns. Hazel has also a flickr account.

Michiel Bechir’s Gallery in June/July – Hazel Foxtrot

All three Michiel, Pavel and Hazel make pictures while traveling through Second Life. They find great motives and the right viewing angle to creat their art.

The exhibtion on the 2nd floor of Michiel Bechir’s Art Gallery, named Balance, is different. It combines pictures from Jaz (Jessamine2108) with poems from Zoe Ocelot. Balance is an exhibtion about the current pandemic and its effect on humans and animals as well as on nature due to the lack of pollution and cleaner air and water.
Before you enter the room you’re asked to wear a face mask, which is provided, The exhibtion has two parts, that are divided by a fence. One side shows pictures and texts from the physcial world. Very impressive is a picture from India showing the vers same place before and during the lockdown and how the air got clean. A 3D model of the earth is in the center of the room and circled by dark polluted clouds as well as be clean clouds.
On the other side of the fence you see pictures from Jaz, taken in Second Life but clearly referring to the corona pandemic.

Michiel Bechir’s Gallery in June/July – Balance by Jaz and Zoetrope Ocelot

Jaz has been doing photography in SL since 2018: “It would be more than appropriate to say that Milla (Ladmilla) introduced me to the nuances in the art. Special thanks to Eta (Etamae Resident) for making me look at the amazing possibilities of SL and to Harry Cover (impossibleisnotfrench Resident) for giving me an opportunity and courage to branch out on my own and to be able to collaborate and experiment with mesh with him.
Jaz exhibits some of her work at her homeplace Third Eye and has an own little gallery Bohemian Imaginarium@ – two places to add to my list.

Thank you Michiel for enabling this joined exhibition, thanks to the artists for their work. I enjoyed my visit!

Art in Second Life 2020 (29) SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre

Following my visit at Eta’s Extempore Gallery and Lounge (read here) where I saw Sophie Marie Sinclair (perpetua1010)’s exhibition “Inspiration in Red”, I visited the SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre, which is Spohie’s own gallery.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre consists of several buildings that are arranged around a broad and wide court in the center: The Main Gallery and Multimedia Centre, 3 gallery buildings and a party and event building (cube). In the center is a meeting point and across that is an inforamtion centre under a tent where you can also get a freebie (for joining the group)

The whole setting is ultra modern and the buildings have a modern architecture with a lot of glass for natural light. You find enough areas to party, to meet or for celebrations. I started my visit at the information centre which offers the above mentioned freebie (a handbag with a Lagerfeld likeness) and information about what is shown in the different buildings.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Information Centre

“Sophie Marie Sinclair is a RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kind of paint and lithography. She has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the Unites States, Australia, Rome and Monaco.”
(taken from the notcard I got at the Extempore Gallery and Lounge)

Gallery 1 showns Sophie Marie Sinclair’s art with the title “Emotions in Black and White”. Sophie’s art is not explicit, you always need to look longer and more detailed at them to get the gist, to see the emotion and thus her art has a particular effect on the viewer.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Gallery 1: “Emotions in Black and White”

Gallery 2 shows Sophie Marie Sinclair’s art with the title “Red Expressions”, which I saw at Eta’s Extempore Gallery and Lounge under the title “Inspiration in Red”, powerful paintings in red with a fantastic 3D-effect.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Gallery 2: “Red Expressions”

Gallery 3 is was not occupied with an exhibtion on the time of my visit (May 2nd).

The cube is a great place to party and celebrate. Again the space has an ultramodern setting. I had fun looking at the details and in these times the flamingo sign “corona” conjured a smile in my face.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Cube

I ended my visit at the Main Gallery and Multimedia Centre. In front of it are two sculptures: “Sisters” by Cherry Manga and “Apple Fall ‘Strength’ Fragment” by Apple Pancake. Both sculptures can develop their expressional strength standing alone with the modern environment as backround.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Main Building with sculptures in front of it, lower right shows “granite art” exhibited around the staircase

Inside of the building is a presentation hall where you can watch movies or other performance art. At the time of my visit, I could watch a video about the “SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre“.

In the Main Gallery and Mulitmedia Centre you find more of Sophie’s art. On the ground floor the exhibtion titled “Yellow Nude Expressions”, which picks up the theme of “Emotions in Black and White”, just in yellow. Again you have to look twice to see persons and emotions, the pictures are a bit more explicit though.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Main Gallery: “Yellow Nude Expressions”

Around the staircase to the 2nd floor of the Main Gallery and Mulitmedia Centre you find some picture that look like granite, like patterns engraved in granite. On the 2nd floor is again a large corner for events or celebrations in front of a picture titled “Akt Blau liegend” and another exhibition of Spohie’s art with quite erotic, colourful and expressive bodies and faces. I found no title for this part.

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre – Main Gallery: art on the 2nd floor

SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre is worth a visit and if it is just for the architecture. Sophie Marie Sinclair (perpetua1010)’s art covers several styles yet most of her pictures do express strong emotions and they develop their effect on the viewer who takes a second and third look at them. This effect is also expressed in the name of the gallery centre: subcutan – because the art gets under your skin.

It might have not been my last vist. Thank you Sophie for your art and for creating the SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre. I look forward to seeing more exhibtions.

Art in Second Life 2020 (27) Extempore Gallery and Lounge

After my blogpost about the April exhibition at La Maison d’Aneli (read here) I had contact with one of the artists who were featured in this exhibition – Etamae.
Etamae is from the UK and began taking photographs and then turning those photographs into digital art in 2018.
Her first passion was erotic art and I had come across Etamae in 2019 the first time when I visited her exhibtion “Dominance and Submission” at Elevate Femdom (see here).

And more of etamae’s erotic art can be seen at Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery which is “a little edgy, somewhat sensual centered about the erotic and the BDSM lifestyle” and hence does fit to my personal passion. On Monday, April 27th, I visited Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery (see my blogpost here).

Besides owning Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery Etamae owns two other galleries and I visited one of them on Thursday April 30th: The Extempore Gallery and Lounge.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of etamae’s own art

At the Extempore Gallery and Lounge Etamae showcases pictures taken in Second Life and manipulated in particular by recolouring and adding light effects to them as well as some animated permantently changing pictures. Etamae is not defined by just one style or area of art, she plays with different patterns and tries herself out in a broader spectrum of art.

At the Extempore Gallery and Lounge Etamae not only showcases her own art but provides the space also to other artists. At the time of my visit the gallery featured also the art from: CybeleMoon (hana.hoobinoo), Patrick Moya, Sophie Marie Sinclair (perpetua1010), Aneli Abeyante, Jipe Loon, Patrick Ireland (PatrickofIreland), Harry Cover (impossibleisnotfrench) and Safar Fiertze.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of Patrick Moya’s art

I saw already some of Patrick Moya (moja janus)’s art. I came across him in 2017 when I visited his Moya Land (read Simploring 2017 (56) Moya).
Patrick Moya (born 1955 in Troyes, France), is a French artist. He is a part of the artistic movement “Ecole de Nice”. Moya has been at the forefront since the 1970s of straddling the latest forms of media and technology to benefit art rather than rendering it extinct.
(excerpt from wikipedia).
He is an early pioneer of video art and is active with his art in Second Life since 2007 in addition to his work in the physical world. The barriers between the two worlds do blur in his artistic work. Moya Patrick (moya janus) has also a website http://moyapatrick.com/ with tons of information about his work and about Moya in Second Life. Unfortunately it is in French only.
At the Extempore Gallery and Lounge we see examples and drafts of at Moya label in many different variations. I’m not sure, but somehow it felt familiar, I might have seen some ot the exhibits already before

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of CybeleMoon (hana.hoobinoo)’s art

I also came across CybeleMoon or Hana Hoobinoo already a few times, the last time when I visited “The Itakos Project and Art Gallery“ (read here). Cybele’s picture always have a fantasy background and often show portraits or people in a peaceful, mostly hazy fantasy world. Her pictures seem to tell a story, that you have to make up yourself.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of Sophie Marie Sinclair (perpetua1010)’s art

Sophie Marie Sinclair is a RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kind of paint and lithography. She has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the Unites States, Australia, Rome and Monaco.
At Extempore Gallery and Lounge you can see some of her “Inpirations in Red”, powerful paintings in red with a fantastic 3D-effect.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of Aneli Abeyante and Jipe Loon’s art

Aneli Abeyante, who runs La Maison d’Aneli, creates objects in 2D and 3D, colourful, steadily moving, and with particular light effects. Aneli writes about herself:
I love geometry and mathematics. So after much practice, I managed to clear structures and shapes. In reality I practice painting, I do not have precise style but I always seek harmonization.”
Some of the Aneli’s work exhibited at Extempore Gallery and Lounge was already shown at La Maison d’Aneli in January/February 2020 (see my blogpost here). You see geometrical shapes with one dominating colour. Most of the displays as constantly changing.

The 3D figures that are showcase in the area of the staircase were created by Jipe Loon, erotic figures, truely exaggerated yet intriguing. Jipe is in Second Life for more than 12 years and he sells his creations on the marketplace. I came across some of his figures already before in the frame of my simploring tours, but I never saw more than one, yet at Extempore Gallery and Lounge you see a few of them.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of Patrick Ireland (PatrickofIreland)’s art

When I visited “The Itakos Project and Art Gallery“ (read here) I saw an exhibition of Partick Ireland’s art but I couldn’t find any information about him. Patrick’s art, surrealism pure, is shown also at Extempore Gallery and Lounge, but there was a notecard with a bit more information, including his SL name PatrickofIreland:
Originally in SL in 2008 and recently back after a hiatus of many years, Patrick found his passion for SL photography a little more than a year ago. In this short time, he has become a prolific SL photographer known for his detailed sets and desire to share the joy of his many interests, including surreal subjects, Asian art and philosophy, civic issues and, of course, love.

Extempore Gallery and Lounge – impressions of Harry Cover (impossibleisnotfrench) and Safar Fiertze’s art

Harry Cover, also known as Impossibleisnotfrench, is from France. He started his second life by playing with prims, then sculpties and finally mesh (Blender). He’s passionate about photos and  graphic designer in RL (among others). One of his objects – Statue vis ecrou all inone – can also be found at my home *winks*. Harry also works with Serene Footman, who creates sims after real places, you’d usually never come across exploring the world as a tourist. He creates landmark buildings for Serene and I mentioned him several times already when I wrote about Serene Footman’s weired outstanding places.

Safar Fiertze has two installations at Extempore Gallery and Lounge. She’s in SL for almost 12 years and writes about herself: “I love labyrinths and labyrinthian minds. I like the artistic and innovative juxtaposition of words. I’ve discovered the joys of juxtaposing prims
Baletka is an interactive story experience at Extempore Gallery and Lounge loosely inspired by an R.D. Laing case study. You can walk through the story and see Safar’s 3D art.
There’s a second installation of Safar Fiertze “Mechanical Apparition of Emergent Dream” where you can interact with bouncing balls, which reproduce themselves – intriguing.

My spontaneous visit to Extempore Gallery and Lounge became longer than I thought. I had fun seeing it and I enjoyed the art from artists who I came across before again. Thank you etamae for providing and curating your Gallery. I had only one more gallery from etamae to visit “Etamae’s gallery at Absolute Bliss” and I tried Saturday, May 2nd .. but it is gone or the Landmark I had was invalid,

Art in Second Life 2020 (26) Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery

On Monday, April 27th, I visited Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery.

etamae uses the pictures she took at Second Life and processes them to create her artwork. Some of the poses look familiar to me, yet etamae perfectionized the pictures and added more erotic touch by light and shadow and at least for some of her pictures by adding a word or a thought. Her pictures touched me and made me shiver, just at is should be with this kind of art. My pictures taken at Eta’s Feed Your Fetish Gallery tell more than words could do.

As seen at the April exibition at La Maison d’Aneli etamae’s artistic sprectrum has broadened but I suspect that she still has a passion for erotic art. Etamae has also another gallery to showcase her art, the Extempore Gallery and Lounge, another gallery I might visit soon.

Thank you for your “Feed Your Fetisch Gallery“. I really enjoyed my visit there, etamae
