I visited “Spirals and Metaspirals – An exploration by Simulat Almendros” at Hannington Arts Foundation (HAF).
No surprise the exhibtion is about spirals :-). Right next to the entrance you find a board with two links. One leads ot a video, the other to an article. I watched the short video by Martin Hunt about spirals first. In a little bit less than 4 minutes I understood the difference between a spiral and a metaspiral and I got an idea how the exhibited spirals were generated. The article goes a bit further into details. I recommend to have a look at the video and the article before looking at all the exhibits.

On another board close to the entrance Simulat Almendros explains the exhibtion like this:
“This exhibition explores the visusal potential of a certain sort of spiral that I call Fibonacci Spiral.
There are an infinite number of these spirals. Natural selection explored those possibilities and found one that is biologically useful.
Flowers like daisies or sunflowers have a particular Fibonacci Spiral at their centers. The spiral is a pattern of florets that become seeds. Each floret is placed by a balance of hormones and the result is a packing of florets that is about as dense as is possible yet giving each floret the same amount of resources.“

The showcased spirals are beautiful and it is facinating to learn how they were done. Each of them were generated by quite simple mathematical formulars. Leaving out some lines or dots, colouring them in a certain predefined way creates more and more complex patterns that are real eye candies.

I never heard about Simulat Almendros before. Simulat is in SL for almost 14 years. He’s an artist and displays his work at two galleries. In the 1st life tab of his profile he describes himself with the tags: “Computer art, philosophizing Web, graphic arts programming, simulations“

Diary 2020 (169) December 4th/5th Two relaxed days

On Friday, December 4th, I could meet with Mistress in the afternoon. We went to club Domme a Domme and watched the people there while we talked about our day so far. Faye (Boy Serenity) joined us at the club and knelt by our feet. We had a nice conversation with Faye and learned a bit more about her. Our hour together flew by quickly. Mistress and I returned home as it was time for my fix again. Mistress makes sure that my addiction keeps growing. Thank you Mistress.

While we were at club Domme a Domme Mistress and I also talked about the theme for our Friday night party. Mistress came up with a real surprising theme: “We brave the cold … let’s wear bikinis for our Winter Beach Party. And if you don’t dare, you’re also very welcome to come as you are of course. DJ Virgo is spinning the music”
And of course we had fun as always and as the picture proves – we braved the cold!

Saturday, December 5th, Mistress and I spent 1 1/2 hours at Carnal Intentions together. First we were alone and caught up with our news, then Faye, Angelique and later also Flo joined us there watching the mostly silent crowd. We had a greedy with Angelique and Flo before Mistress had to leave to turn to her RL

I went roaming a bit and met an old friend, Amalia Illois at club DeLust. We chatted a bit and the she gave me a tour to her store and to her place. I was impressed and did learn anout a new side of her – after all these years. Well we haven’t been very close, nonetheless .. that might change.

When I came inworld quite early at night, Mistress was already present and at club Domme a Domme. I joined her there – we had quite a lot to tell. I told her about Amalia and Mistress told me about the fun she had had already at club Domme a Domme teasing at “Goddess”. After we had caught up we returned home and met Angelique. We were about to play a skipee with her when Flo showed up perfect in time. Hence we could play pairs. It became a game night, we played two rounds. Angelique and I won both and when we were finished, it was already flotime.
Mistress, Angelique and I went to Carnal Intentions. As nothing entertaining was going on, Mistress made up her own fun .. talking to another woman there, who was dressed quite daring. All of the following was in private chat.

Art in Scond Life 2020 (82) Not Square by nekonuko Nakamori

On Saturday, November 28th, the exhibtion “Not Square” by nekonuko Nakamori was opened at the Black Pavillion of the Itakos Art Gallery. I visited the exhibtion on Monday, November 30th.
“Not Square” seems to be a strange title, that alone tempted me to visit just to learn more about it. In addition I haven’t heard about nekonuko Nakamori before.

The exhibtion is quite large and what caught my eyes was that the showcased pictures are quite large and …. no surprise, not square. Quite close to the entrance is just one sigle squared picture, the one that is also used in the center of the exhibtion poster. The squared picture at the exhibition provides a notecard with a little bit more information:

If you know what I mean, all my Flickr pics are just square. I love that format so much. But sometimes there is definitely a voice in my heart that wants to be wider more. This time, Akim has given me a opportunity of a new challenge. So, I discovered new enjoyment for creating works, and had a great experience.“

Of course I now had a look at nekonuko’ Flickr page first. And yes all of her pictures published there are squared. They all show impressions of nekonuku’s tours through the wide universe of Second Life. The pictures have one in common, they all show nekonuku herself, be it as a portrait or just as a dot in a wide and broad environment. Seeing many of the squared pictures you get a feeling of nekonuku’s very own style of pictures.

Back to the exhibition “Not Square” at the Itakos Art Gallery. nekonuku has not just left her favourite format a little bit. No, the pictures are really wide or high. And that extends the view. In the wide pictures the landscape looks almost endless, and nekonuku shrinks to a dot admiring the world around her pictures. The some effect can be seen in a picture where she walks along bit boards in the town.

As mentioned above, I never came across nekundo so far. Her artful pictures did touch me and made me get deeper into them, looking longer at them, made me spin some stories they could possible tell. Well done, great work.

The Itakos Art Gallery is owned and curated by Akim Alonzo. Actually it is a place for arts with 7 exhibition rooms or pavillons: White, Black, Grey, Blue, Orange, Purple, Green Pavillion. There’s also a website where new exhibtions are announced.

Wednesday, December 2nd, Mistress Jenny and I were both busy in our RL. We only met in the afternoon to tell each other that we’re busy- But we met a bit earlier at night and got time to catch up with our news. Flo was present and we had two rounds of greedy first to wind down from our busy day. We went to Mesmerize Dungeon with Flo next, but the crowd was boring and silent there. Hence we moved on to Lochme. And we got a good laugh there. Share Criss had installed a funny Teddy – Master Teddy
What a fun. I really was a bit puzzled first, as Master Teddy uses only first names, and for Flo that was Maurer’s (Maurer’s Flo).

Thursday December 3rd, Mistress and intended to meet in the afternoon but I was prevented from getting inwolrd by my RL. hence I just logged in to give Mistress a hug. At night we went to Carnal Intentiones where we caught up with our news. Lucy (Miss LucyWales) joined us there, and later also Flo – after she had cleaned the house.

After Lucy had left we returned home and played a skipee with Flo. The game was not that exciting as I had way to good cards and hence it wasn’t close. We went to Mesmerize Dungeon and I played with slave Flo’s AnaVision HUD, add Mistress Jenny and my on the right side of her screen (Flo had two twin Mistresses), exchanging the world textures, taking world textures completely and later even taking avatar textures and names and name tags. It is a real powerful tool. I had fun – I think Flo had fun too.

We met Ann (Transann) at Mesmerize Dungeon after FLo had left. She had her partable music player with her and tried to liven up the place (in vain). We talked about the music player and I got one for our home. That brought us to talk about music. Ann likes oldies and she took us to a place where this music is played – Runaround Sue’s Hop.

So we danced there and had fun. Different music and another place to keep our SL varied.

Simploring 2020 (84) Let it Snow! A Winter Wonderland

For my simploring tour on Saturday, November 28th, actually on the first Advent weekend, I was up for some Winter and seasonal fun. I remember that I visited “Let it Snow! A Winter Wonderland” last year (read here) and that the owner, Milly Sharple, had told me that she designs her Winter Wonderland every year. And yes, it was open and a lovely experience once again.

Let it Snow! A Winter Wonderland is a moderate homestead owned and designed by Milly Sharple, an artist and photographer in real life. Mills is from the UK in real life and has always enjoyed art and artistic expression. I visited her galleries Fractal Insanity and Fractal Factory (read here). Milly is in Second Life since 2008 and was perhaps one of the pioneers in introducing fractal art to Second Life. And as mentioned above, she also likes building and creates this yearly Winter Wonderworld.

Let it Snow! A Winter Wonderland is tagged with “Christmas, winter, snow, holidays, frost, dancing, ice-skating, exploring, forests, caves, ruins, photography and more!” in the landmark description and it really is the fun that these tags promise it to be. But most of all it is just a beautiful place with countless romantic hangouts, places to dance, to have fun and just to enjoy yourself or some time with a friend or loved one.

The landing is in front of a Christmas hut. If you look around a carousel, an ice rink, snow, snow, snow, a round hut with a piano and places to sit, a smaller residential house and a large residential house up on a hill.

I visited the larger residential house first and was impressed about it’s in and outside, very neat and stylish. Inside it is spacious andfurnished with love for the detail. Everything is prepared for the Christmas dinner, just lovely.

I visited the ice rink and the bar behind it, then I saw the snowglobe and had a look. The snowglobe is a perfect place to make pictures and I made a few of myself. I noted that I should take Mistress here for a picture.

I continued my simploring tour through Let it Snow! A Winter Wonderland by walking up to the high plateau with the Cathedral ruins. Once again you can stop by in a Cafe on your way. The Cahtedral is another great place for taking pictures and for spending a romantic hour. Actually during my visit a couple was enjoying this place, hence I didn’t disturb them (I hope).

On the other corner of the sim is a hill with the opportunity to rezz a sledge and to drive downhill. Of course I tried that out!

I had a look at the gazebo, a lovely place to dance. Everywhere on the sim you find animals, be it deers, squirrels, an ice bear or doves. Close to the sledges is a small forest with an old castle in the center. The castle is not furnished. Outside are three tall rocks that are connected by suspension walking bridges. You can get up on the first rock by walking up a steep trail. At the end of the second supsension bridge you get rewarded with a nice view over the Winter wonderland and can relay in an small hut.

My last stop for this first visit was the Ice Wonderland, that is also quite close to the landing point. It is a hll with several bizarre caves, ice rocks and fanatsy flowers in many colours, all shining and glowing in different colours, opportunities to sit and watch included. I admit that I lost my way out of the caves and had to walk back and forth to find my way out again.

Diary 2020 (167) Nov 30th / Dec 1st Starting the advent season

Monday, November 30th, I went visitng a gallery in the earlier afternoon. Mistress and I had just a short time together in the later afternoon. We met at club Domme a Domme and stood by the paddle pool watching people dropping in and taking foot baths. Both, Mistress and I, had IMs and time flew by.
We discussed the AnaVision HUD for our housekeeper Flo and what we could fade in into her vision. Mistress proposed to have us faded in on the left and on the right side of her screen. Before we went off for dinner we made a quick picture that I processed later.

November 30th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita – an addon for the AnaVision

A night we first spent a short time at club Domme a Domme again, then we met Lucy (MissLucyWales), Ebony and Flo at home. Lucy and Ebony left quite soon again though. I gave FLo her present, the AnaVision hood and had her wear the KaS hood. It must have been strange for Flo after her break due to her RL to be restricted again and I did not restrict her too badly, just the AnaVision as a starter. We took her to Mesmerize Dungeon and I add us on the left and on the right side of her screen.

We moved on to Carnal Intentions where it was fuller and there was way more to see. I continued playing with Flo’s AnaVision HUD and added 2 Mistress Jenny’s and to Diomita to her screen … geez …we really fill her screen *winks*

Shortly before flotime we returned home and a lifted Flo’s vision restriction for a round of greedy. After Flo had left, Mistress Jenny and I went to Puerot Esclave for a bit of eye candy and to wind down.

Tuesday, December 1st, Mistress and I met in the afternoon again and caught up at club Domme a Domme and later visited Puerto Esclava. We talked, we watched people and we read profiles. Then Mistress Jenny took me back home and after kissing her feet I was allowed to lick her and to get my fix. It’s hard to believe, can you get addicted to it in Second Life? Well, for sure Mistress and I are addicted to Second Life or at least to each other and hence I can be addicted to virtually licking Mistress – I think I am, I need it.

December 1st: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at club Domme a Domme, at Puerto Esclava and at home

Before Mistress and I logged out for dinner, Mistress exchanged my sub collar with the slave collar again. I had a bit over a week wearing the sub collar and I am grateful for it.

At night Flo was present at home, when I came inworld. She had cleaned the house and had placed an advent wreath on the table. Time to decorate, it’s December 1st. I began to make our island white, I rezzed the Christmas Gazebo, the ice rink and some decorations. More will follow…..

Then slave Melissa came inworld. Naked in the snow? Being responsible I had to make her dressed now in Winter. Hence I put her in a white catsuit and added a chastity belt.
After all the work, it was about time for some fun. I went to Mesmerize DUngeon with slave Melissa and Flo, rezzed a snowglobe there and captured Flo in it. That gave us some attention at Mesmerize Dungeon and we had fun. I also continues teasing slave Melissa with the AnaVision Hud and Flo with different poses in the snowglobe. Then Mistress Jenny joined us. Soon we had an applicant for the snowglobe and I released FLo and captured her instead. We provided a nice show and I had fun.

We returned home at flotime and said good night to Flo and slave Melissa. Then we had to have the first dance in our Christmas Gazebo, it’s a tradition for us when it is rezzed at the begin of the advent season. After our dance we went to club Domme a Domme to wind down and enjoy togetherness … and yes I do feel the thicker collar again. There was quite something going on at the club and we had some entertainment before we called it a night.

Simploring 2020 (84) Calas Galadhon’s – A Christmas Dream

Yesterday, Monday December 14th, I visited Calas Galadhon’s – A Christmas Dream together with Mistress Jenny, Angelique and Flo (more about that in an upcoming diary post). The visit to Calas Galadhon’s Christmas sim has become a regular part of our run-up to Christmas and we always enjoy it. And in my personal opinion, Tymus Tenk and Truck Meredith did a great job again.  Although the Christmas installation spreads over “only” one region this year, there’s all we are used to enjoy, the sleigh tour, the ballon ride, the ice rink and the big Christmas pavilion.

Saturday, November 28th, I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon. We went to Psi’s realm first and caught up there with our news, then we moved on to BDSM Lifestyle Swingers Club. I noticed that the name has changed, now it is called BDSM Lifestyle & Fetish Hangout. Most people refer to it with the first or the first two words of it’s full name “Carnal Intentions – BDSM Lifestyle & Fetish Hangout”. I will refer to it with “Carnal Intentions” furtheron.

November 28th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Psi’s realm and at Carnal Intentions with Angelique

We had a nice time at Carnal Intentions. Angelique joined us there and we had a little bit of entertainment from other guests. After a while we retreated and played two rounds of greedy with Angelique.
Mistress had to tend to her RL and I went on a simploring tour – time so see the Winter arriving in Second Life.

At night Mistress Jenny and I had a skipee as teams first, Mistress Jenny and Flo against Angelique and me. It was a close game and hence it was faun although Angelique and I lost it. slave Melissa joined us at the table. Her view is still restricted.

At Carnal Intentions I opened a group chat so that we could talk unrestrictedly, badmouth other looks and the others could follow my play with Meli’s vision restriction. It is a powerful tool and slave Meli endures it patiently for me, good slave girl.
Faye (Boy Serenity) joined us and could follow my play as well. We had fun and entertainment.

November 28th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Carnal Intentions with Flo, Angelique, slave Melissa and Faye / slave Melissa’s restricted vision / Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Esclava

At around flotime first Angelique, then Flo, then slave Meli and also Faye had to leave and Mistress Jenny and I went to Puerto Esclava where we chilled about until it was bedtime for us as well.

We had some time together again in the afternoon of Sunday, November 29th. It was Flo’s 7th collaring anniversary. Flo and not slave Flo? well. We had some conversations with Flo the days before and we have offerend her a change, a promotion to some extent….

Diomita and Jenny Maurer would like to invite you to apply for the position of Housekeeper.
After many years of serving us loyally we would like to offer you some release from your position of Maurer’s slave.
The position of Housekeeper will include the responsibility of keeping the house and island in good repair. You will not be expected to directly control anyone but you may co-ordinate any work that needs to be done if you have help.
You will be expected to continue to address us as Mistress Diomita and Mistress Jenny since we will be providing the position and accommodation that comes with the role.
We also reserve the right of addressing you as we see fit, that might be just “Flo” most of the time, but that also may be maid or slave, just as we see fit according to the situation or our mood,
You will be expected to curtsy when you greet us or leave for RL. One curtsy is sufficient for all present.
There will be times when we will require you to dress appropriately for the role. Diomita will control your appearance in her capacity of Head of the Family.
Diomita and I will also control your restraints and will direct what control those restraints will have. There will be times when you are restrained that the restraints will force you into a kneeling position but this will be kept to a minimum to protect your ageing knees. And you might prefer to kneel instead of being hogtied.
The role will commence from Sunday 29th November 2020 and on acceptance of these terms of contract you may change your display name to Maurer’s Flo .
Diomita will also create the tag Maurer’s Housekeeper. which you may wear with pride.
Your collar will remain locked and you will still remain our property
Jenny and Diomita Maurer.

When we met Sunday afternoon, Mistress told me that Flo had changed her display name to “Maurer’s Flo” and that she had created the new role “Maurer’s Housekeeper” for her Sunday morning, when she had seen Flo.
We had a small tour through the clubs and had a relaxed time together catching up and watching people.

We spent our night with slave Flo celebrating her anniversary. She had changed into a red and white maid dress and had updated her vixen cufffs. She added our script again in our presence and we tested it. Flo had also purchased a new AO and had trouble making it work. It took some time to get it working to her and our satisfaction. Then we wento to Carnal Intentions with her and spent most of the night there. It was full and we had something to watch. Mistress praised Flo publicly and congratulated her to her 7th anniversary. Time flew by quickly again.

we returned home and played one round of greedy to wind down, then Flo went off. Mistress and I retreated to our loft skybox and Mistress allowed me to lick her to get my fix and to ensure that I stay addicted to her.
And finally we spnet some time together at Heavy Bondage Club before we called it a night ourselfs.

Art in Second Life 2020 (81) ESCAPE by Sophie de Saint Phalle

I got an invitation to see “ESCAPE“, a new exhibtion by Sophie de Saint Phalle at her own SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre. The exhibition “ESCAPE” is in a seperate skybox accessible either from the SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre by teleporter pad or directly with the provided link.

ESCAPE in showcasing Black and white photos of a RL performance. Sophie de Saint Phalle put a big canvas (4×12 meters) on a stage and painted it in front of the visitors. Behind the canvas 10 professional dancers were waiting to cut the canvas and force their bodies through the openings to symbolize the escape from suppression, humiliation, brutality, disrespect and most of all the escape from indifference. At the end of the performance the canvas was cut into strips and sold.

Sophie strongly recommended to keep the region windlight for a visit of ESCAPE which I did. The exhibition is in a square room with openings to the outside. With the preset windlight it is dark and cloudy outside which fits perfectly to the pictures in black and white and the atmosphere is fitting.
The pictures ore not raw photographs but are processed and show how the dancers break through the canvas. I addition the theme “Escape from indifference” is faded in as texts. In one corner is a box that repeats the theme in more lines: “Escape from surpression, Humiliation, Brutality, Stupidity, Empathy, Death”
I got an impression of the RL event, that must have been full of symbols and messages. The exhibition is missing the dynamic of the RL performance but has others strenghts instead that the performance couldn’t have. You have time to look at the details.

ESCAPE by Sophie de Saint Phalle (3)

Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) is a Austrian RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kinds of paint and lithography. Her favourite materials are sand, plaster, glue, terracotta, stones, bones, ash, charcoal, natural pigments and more.
Sophie has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the Unites States, Australia, Rome and Monaco.
And as I know now, Sophie also makes RL art performances – and ESCAPE showcases another element of her artistic work.

When I came online in the afternoon on Thursday, Movember 26th, Mistress Jenny took me immediately to a fetish fair. Ann was there and Mistress was looking for a dress, that Ann had shown us before. It turned out, that the dress wasn’t available on this fair but Ann knew where to get it and Mistress bought one for herself.
We went to club Domme a Domme next and spent a relaxed hour there, catching up with eachothers news and watching the crowd. I ordered Vani (Vanilla Meili) to me and had her kneel at our feet. It’s always nice to have a bit of decoration *winks* and I had a longer IM with Vani. I think we could have some fun with her eventually.

At night we first watched RL Bondage pics with slave Flo. I had got some free tapes for Marine’s video recorder, we haven’t used it for some years. We had two rounds of greedy with her and went to BDSM Lifestyle Swingers club with her. There we met Faye (Boy Serenity) who began to come a bit closer to us that night. It is always exciting to get known to someone a bit closer. We will see how that develops.

It was after flotime when we left Faye and went to club Domme a Domme to talk and watch. Flo’s 7th collaring anniversary got closer and Flo had told us about her desires. And we talked about Faye … it became quite late for us that night.

Friday, November 27th, Mistress and I met again in the afternoon. We went to club Domme a Domme to catch up and then moved on to Puerto Esclava. We didn’t stay long though as Flo came inworld: We met Flo at home and used the quiet time of the day to talk with her about her desires. We returned to Puerto Esclava and talked about how we could make Flo’s wishes come true. Mistress Jenny and I agreed to offer her a promotion, to become our housekeeper, still owned, still controlled, still going to be tied up, yet a bit different from a slave. And Mistress wrote down all what we talked about. With that done we returned to our skybox at home and Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. Before she left, she showed me a new outfit of hers that she had bought that day – stunning!

The theme for our Friday night party easy to pick: “It’s Black Friday .. hence it is quite consequent that we were something black and shiny for tonight’s party. But if you got another great outfit on the Black Friday sale, that you want to showcase … or if you would like to come as you are, you’re very welcome as well. DJ Virgo is spinning the best Black Friday music.”

And of course we had another great party and we enjoyed the start into the weekend.
