Sunday morning, June 12th, another time for simploring. I went to the “Gates of Melancholy” following Inara Pey’s blog entry “Standing in the Gates of Melancholy in Second Life“. This time I changed into something comfy and no heels *winks*. Here’s the landmark’s description “This sim is based on and inspired from the life and work of the famous American painter Andrew Wyeth. It is created to emulate and elicit the feel in the watercolor paintings done by Andrew Wyeth“.

June 12th: Gates of Melancholy (1)

Upon landing you get a notecard that describes the sim which was created by shelly70. The sim is based on and inspired from the work of the American painter Andrew Wyeth. Andrew Newell Wyeth (July 12, 1917 – January 16, 2009) was one of the best-known U.S. painters of the middle 20th century. In his art, Wyeth’s favorite subjects were the land and people around him. Wyeth often noted: “I paint my life.” One of the best-known images in 20th-century American art is his painting Christina’s World.

Back to SL: Shelly created the sim as a virtual 3 dimensional painting, it is as if you step into Andrew’s world. Look at the painting above and at the pictures I took, the similarity is quite astounding. The landscape is rough and you can sense that farming was a challenge here. Nonetheless it’s beautiful and peaceful. Although some of the buildings look abandoned there are enough houses still occupied. Not only because the buildings are old and the farming equipment is old and rusty but also because of the rough yet peaceful nature and the missing signs of the 21st century I felt like being pushed back into the 1930ies or 40ies.

I need to mention the music. Shelly selected the perfect music for her sim. It’s modern, easy listening music, mostly slow, quiet and melodious. Just the right music to sit down and let your mind wander – and yes, it enhances melancholy (but not in a bad sense). I really enjoyed my visit of about an hour. It was a perfect way to spent a Sunday morning and to slow down.

Thank you Shelly for your great work. I’m not into arts, but I guess that you did a lot of studies to create this sim. I really enjoyed and I strongly recommend a visit.

The slaves

Over a month ago we put slave Flo into her red latex catsuit adding a red latex hood with black eyepads and a blonde pony tail. That day the new outfit for our slaves came to life. The outfit has been further developed and slave Adarra first added the “Maurer”-rose to the left buttock, then the national flag of the slave’s residence on the right buttock. Every slave got a different colour in a shade of red, pink, violet or liliac. And not only our permanently owned and collar slaves Flo, Gebby, Adarra, cecy and Nina were dressed accordingly but also Kitty. In addition we had or have slave Po, slave Mii, slavin C and slave Pauline in the very same outfit. In total 10 (!) slaves. When we go out, they add colour to every sim and they attract attention, in particular when they come online together. Everywhere we go with the slaves we get compliments and also application to join the group.
When I publish pictures here in the blog I refrain from telling who’s who. I can only guess how difficult it is to distinguish them, in particular when you don’t see the flag on their buttocks. The slaves will stay in their outfit at least until end of June so there will be more to report about them and there will be more pictures. In May I had in mind to put an enjoying bondage picture together showing all slaves on the naughty slut platform in Lochme but I gave up this plan as it was a bit to ambitious to get all slaves aligned in the right position. Instead I made a little collage of all slaves together with Jenny and me. I hope you like it – I am pretty sure that all 10 slaves are in the picture. Just let me know if I mixed them up *winks*

Friday late afternoon I found time for simploring again. Not surprising that I followed one of Inara’s latest advices again posted under the title “Visiting an eternal corner of Second Life“. What I learned there is that Khaled is Arabic and means eternal (look it up on Wikipedia: Khalid)

My landing in Khaled was quite wet. I landed a few meters away of the beach – in the water. After looking about I met Now Edit (cambiamento.radikal), the owner of Khaled, on the beach where he was setting up the waves and complained that he couldn’t get them to look like he wanted them to look. I said hello to him and we had a short, nice chat. I didn’t want to disturb him as I know that building need some focussing and I also wanted to discover the island. He was very friendly and polite and welcomed me to explore his sim. His way of welcoming visitors is also expressed in the landmark description of Khaled: “This island was born to be a reference point for blogger. An island with open rez (60 minutes auto return), free pose balls, games and vehicles. If you like best of your stay. Recommend us in your photos, tags and picks the profile. Thank you.”

I first walked along the beach which has some nice spots to sit down and just enjoy. From here you see another small island and what seems to be mainland and mountains in the background. The island is connected to the mainland with a stone bridge. At the end of the beach I walked up some rocks and reached the high plateau of the island that is covered with high trees. A rugged cobbled path leads you to the quite modern lodge in the middle of the island. From here you also see a folly through the trees, something that not really fits to the rest of the island on the first glance. Inside there is a big mess, lots of books, a telescope and an old lounger. It looks like a place to retreat and to dive into another world.

I continued and walked along the cobbled path, that definitively wasn’t build for my plateau high heels. I should wear sneakers for simploring. Across the bridge there’s an old goods station and the rest of a farm. There’s a freight train in the goods station and the railway vanishes in 2 tunnels. I walked around a bit and discovered how perfectly Now Edit has embedded this place into a sim surround. It takes some time to see where the sim ends. Well done! Close to the goods station is also a pier where you can rezz a boat and make a tour to see Khaled from the water. Here are some impressions of the goods station.

As Inara mentioned, there’s also a secret to discover – a big cave with a tunnel system. Actually I went into every edge and room of the cave to see if there’s anything else, but during my visit there was nothing. In the meanwhile Now Edit came to the cave. I asked him about the cave and what he plans to do with it. He has no particular use for it so far and was about to rezz some bats, rats and a skeleton. So maybe I should return for Halloween? I would use the caves for a different purpose and those who know me might have an idea *winks*.

Khaled is for sure worth a visit and I will return just to see which little details Now Edit (cambiamento.radikal) has added. It is rare to feel so welcomed like I felt in Khaled. Thank you Now!

Last night was very relaxing. I visited Mesmerize Dungeon with the slaves and Jenny came by for a bit of time. We didn’t stay long as the lag was bad in particular for Jenny. But I made two nice pictures of us.

Yesterday slave Flo provided a picture of herself and slavin C showing both with the duster gags after they had finished cleaning our home. slave Flo is very happy that she has another slave helping her with the chores. Being the oldest slave she always tries to be a role model (she doesn’t succeed always *winks*) and she’s eager to be appointed head slave one day.

Last night I had 4 slaves at home: slave Flo, slavin C, slave Adarra and slave cecy. We haven’t been to Ropers playground for a while, so I took the slaves there but not for exposing them on the platform but for walking them. Some workout can never be wrong. When Jenny joined I we both sat on a bench and cuddled while watching the slaves. Life is good 🙂

Slave cecy did complain about the heat and the strain, thus she had to walk 2 extra rounds while the other slaves were already kneeling at our feet and tried to catch their breath. Later we took the slaves home where they were allowed to cool down at the waterfall near to our house.

Tuesday night, June 7th, started at home where I talked with the slaves and controlled the cleaning of the house. First I took the slaves to Lochme as I expected slave cecy and sklavin Gebby, who I stored at Lochme Tower, to come online. After a while of waiting and exposing the slaves and getting nice comments about them, I took the slaves to Enslaved again as slave Flo wanted to have a look at the Gord doll outfit. I shortened the leashes as Enslaved is full of traps and there are enough warnings to be careful or to be prepared to be caught. But then it happened: slave cecy got online at Lochme Tower. Her timer must have had just finished and slave Addarra teleported her in so that she could join us. Well, slave cecy landed just next to a trap and ended in a garbage ton nicely wrapped up in a big black plastic bag. I went over to her but there was no way to release her. I talked with MzBitch, the owner of Enslaved, and she confirmed that there is no way of releasing but a timer of 30 minutes. So I took the slaves back home where we talked and waited for slave cecy. On our way home, I picked up sklavin Gebby at Lochme Tower. Finally the timer ran down for slave cecy and she could join us.

June 7th: slave Adarra on the spanking machine, slaves cecy, Gebby and Flo watching.

Of course I had to punish slave Adarra as I told the slaves to be careful and she shouldn’t teleport a slave without asking for permission. Thus the spanking machine came to it’s first usage for the slaves. After all it was an eventful night, we had fun (well, at least I had) and I got a nice picture.

This diary post will be a bit longer as I had other posts like Jenny’s collaring anniversary that came first. On Saturday, June 4th, slave Nina showed up after a longer time being busy in her RL. She still needs to get her new catsuit with the flag of Finland from slave Adarra. At this point I wonder when we will finish with this outfit. It will be for sure the slave’s outfit for June. I went to Enslaved with her to show her the Gord doll outfit, an outfit that would really fit to slave Nina’s likes.
Later I took slave Nina and slavin C to Beautiful Suicide, the sim with the weired name that I visited just a few days before and about which I wrote in here (see this blog Beautiful Suicide). I thought that the slaves will fit quite well with the display dummies there and will add some colour to the foggy and enigmatic atmosphere – and they did!

I took another picture with the small Island and the “Beautiful Suicide” board in the background and then we went to the amuesment park. While we were there all of us were ejected from the sim without a fore warning – strange. Beautiful Suicide is an adult sim and I’m not aware that we violated any rule. Well it is an owner’s priviledge to eject anybody he doesn’t like on his property. I’m just curios what we did wrong. Anyway, I still recommend a visit of Jaidens’ sim, it’s so weired, mystic and different.

After this incident I went to Lochme withe the slaves and began to fill “Lochme Tower”. I like this storage and the inmates in the upper cells have a nice view on the sim. What I also like that you can adjust the doll’s pose of each cell. And last but not least the whole procedure of getting a cage, placing the slave doll into it and storing the cell away again is fun for the domme. And while we watched the slaves, Jenny, Starry and I had a nice chat.

Sunday, June 5th, was also Jenny’s 8th collaring day. She’s on vacation, hence i saw her just in the late evening. We had a really nice chat, just as it is among partners for such a long time. Of course I also took a picture of my property and me on this really extraordinary occasion, extraordinairy not only in SL (it is very rare in SL) but also already not what you can expect in RL. Thank you, Jenny, my world!

Monday, June 6th, I had many of the slaves around. I took them to Lochme where Jenny joined us and the slaves look just amazing as a group. Where ever I take them, I get may flattering IMs. Who knows, I might fill the Lochme Tower one day…. can you tell who is who in the picture below?

We went back home to evade the lag and played “Cards against humanity” – that was fun! At one question slave cecy was so sure to win, that she bet she would go into Lochme Tower if she looses. She lost. So slave cecy is now in Lochme Tower. It was pure coincidence that Kitty showed up at the very same moment and she began to tease slave cecy about the nice view from the top of Lochme Tower. Well, Kitty enjoys the view now too.

I like doing something different for the enjoying bondage series each month. Just a few days ago I got an inquiry to introduce the products of Shop Makiko, owned by makiko Criss. I’ve never done something like this, so it is a premiere. After I agreed Jenny and I both got the product – a set of ropes, consisting of a harness for the upper body, binding the arms on the back, a crotch harness and ropes to tie the legs. The whole basic set is available at Shop Makiko for 1.000L. If you want different shibari bindings or other bindings for the upper body, then you have to purchase them seperately. The set includes 3 different standard sizes S, M and L so that adjusting won’t be too difficult. Makiko made 2 videos, one shows the basic functions and the other shows how to adjust the ropes individually for your shape. The videos are just perfect for those not familiar with resizing. As the ropes are mesh adjusting them is quite easy, at least it was for me.

In the shop I found this overview with all possible shibari bindings done with these ropes and for me it was quite helpful.

Tight Rope Series Shop Makiko

These ropes are perfect for those who like to roleplay with ropes. The focus of them is to look good and perfect, being real eye candy, they are not overloaded with scripts. Any restrictions you might want you’ll have to make with other gear like a collar. But for the play with ropes they are just the right toy! The menu’s are easy to understand, you don’t really need to read a long manual. Even the notecards that explain everything are short and read in a few minutes. I tried some self bondage first, so you get an impression …. and this blog entry is about “Enjoying bondage”, isn’t it?

If you use the shadows for taking pictures, then the connecting ropes do not fully appear as you can see in the above picture #3. Something makiko might need to optimize. It works fine when you switch off shadows. Well, there must always be room for improvement 🙂

Did I mention that the ropes can be coloured to your likes? Well you can and I tested that with my wife and property Jenny. I myself use a maitreya mesh body, Jenny is still on a primbody.

Today marks Jenny’s 8th collaring anniversary. It is hard to believe that our relation is still strong and exciting after all these years – and our journey goes on! What can I say? Thank you first of all for your dedication and your love. I’m very happy about what we had since we met in May 2008, and I am very happy about what is to come for us.

Today it has been 2 years since I collared Laylay Lay, my slave, who is now my wife and partner in second life. There have been already several posts about Jenny in this blog and I have nothing to add but a heartful thank you for 2 years under my boot and at my side.

Jenny beared my moods and tolerated my faults in true devotion to me. There’s hardly no bigger compliment that I can make. I look forward very confidently having her as my collared slave and wife for many years to come. I love you, Ehesklavin.

Last night was not as full as the night before but still a full house of slaves. I went with Pauline to Mesmerize dungeon and had just arrived there when slave cecy, slavin C and slave Adarra came online. We got quite some attention at MD and I had problems to focus while getting lots of IMs. When Jenny also arrived we went back home. Beside chatting we also made a group picture:
