Happy New Year 2016 and some stats and findings about our blog (2015 in review)

20151227 Happy New Year_001To all of our family, to all friends, to all readers. we wish you a happy and healthy new year. May your wishes and desires come true!

The people of WordPress.com send me a few figures and remarks reviewing this blog for 2015: “The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.” Again a “YAY” for the last year and again compared to the last year this is one extra sold-out performance and will be motivation to continue writing. Thank you all readers!!
When I got the report, I thought that this year there would be another comparison than the above, but the people of WordPress seem to stick to the comparison with the Sidney Opera House. So I decided to look for something different, like “This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2015. If there was the international fetish bondage competition at Munich Olympic Hall, it would be sold out for that many people to see it!” The Olympic Hall is used for concerts, sporting events, exhibitions or trade fairs. Olympiahalle opened in 1972 and was the venue for gymnastics and handball events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. The seating capacity for the arena varies from 12,150 up to 14,000. The current seating capacity 15,500 set after a massive overhaul that was completed in 2009 (source: wikipedia.com).

In 2015, there were 96 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 393 posts, so in average we published 2 blog entries per week in 2015. I uploaded 471 pictures, that’s more than one per day. As mentioned above, we had more than 14,000 clicks on this blog last year, getting close to 40 clicks in average every day. We had more than 4,300 visitors from all over the world, from 86 countries in all.
Most clicks came from The United States (3,700). Germany (1,250) & United Kingdom (2,750) were not far behind and combined this year we even got more clicks from our home countries than from the US, yay!

Most visitors found our blog from deviantart, where I also publish my pictures. So there developed a link between this blog and my deviantart account. Like in 2014 not only the actual texts did attract readers, the most popular texts are a bit older mostly. And the “Enjoying bondage” series seems to be popular. Here’s the ranking of the Top 5:
1. Sissy sold – August 2013 – 163 clicks
2. Enjoying bondage series – April: Selfies – April 2014 – 138 clicks
3. Enjoying Bondage April 2015: Dio’s tied-up simploring tour – 125 clicks
4. Second Life Fetish Fashion Blog – February 2012 – 122 clicks
5. Kara Bound – April 2014 – 116 clicks

This blog contains a lot of memories for us and for the people close to us. It started as a little diary to keep up with all the things happening around us in Second Life and has grown with time. Considering how much of our free time in real life we spend in this virtual world it makes sense to keep memories like you do in real life. The memories are real and stay vivid and present this way. That we attract readers who follow our ways in SL makes me happy and a bit proud (everybody is a bit vane, aren’t we?)

Thank you all for reading and following our blog.
Have a great year 2016!

Some stats and findings about our blog (2014 in review)

The people of WordPress.com send me a few figures and remarks reviewing this blog for 2014: “The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.” YAY! Thank you all readers. Compared to 2013 that is one extra sold-out performance and it is motivation to continue writing.

4 sold-out performances in the Sydney Opera House in 2014 - Thank you!

Some more statisical figures: In 2014, we had more than 4,000 visitors. There were 86 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 297 posts. In 2014 we published more than 340 pictures – thats about 7 per week. Still interesting but no surprise is what attracts readers to our blog: pony play and humares, prison role play and bondage. What is more a surprise is that 4 of the 5 most clicked texts are not from 2014 :

And how to people get here? By far the most come from search engines like google or yahoo. But some come from humanpony.tumblr.com, from diomitamaurer.deviantart.com and still from slfetishfashion.blogspot.ca although this blog has sadly been closed. It is nice to notice that there’s developing a connection between our blog and my deviantArt website.

In 2014 we had visitors from 80 countries around the world. Most clicks came from The United States (3.650). Germany (1.900) & The United Kingdom (900), where Jenny and I live, counted together were not far behind. Enough about statistics. Thank you all for reading and following our blog. As the blog is first and foremost a diary to save our memories, we don’t intend to stop writing.

Have a great 2015!

A Farewell – Second Life Fetish Fashion Blog closed

2009-10-25-headerYesterday i got the message that Deirdre Young  and  lelo Recreant closed the SL Fetish Fashion Blog after five years and 1400 Posts.
I want thank them for their dedicated service over all these years. Blogging myself I can imagine how hard it is to keep up their pace (one entry every weekday). And I got so many inspirations looking at their blog regularly. For sure tehy also boosted the sales for some of the designers who had the honor to be presented on the blog. But as so often in life it is valued when it’s gone. I hope Deidre and lelo you can continue having fun in SL, and now even without the self enacted pressure of writing. But surely we and they will also miss it the SL Fetish Fashion Blog.
And still the SL Fetisch Fashion Blog is not gone but will remain a great source and database for the various fetisch clothes and the stores.
Thanks again and …. see you inworld!
