simploring 2019 (112) – 20][21 gallery “Miss Barbara’s sense for ice”

Our friend Barbara Reiter-Jewell (Barbara Reiter) has her own little gallery called “20][21 gallery“, where she exhibits her own work every once in a while. Saturday, November 2nd, she opened her exhibition “Miss Barbara’s sense for ice” with pictures of her journey to Greenland in 2019: icebergs at Disco Bay, mainland shelf and some Greenland moods. It is an art show and installation showing an other view into arctic and arctic life.

In the 20][21 gallery you can see the pictures presented in different ways as slideshows, as panorama pictures where you can litteraly walk in and as wall filling exhibits. Besides the quality of the pictures the permanent changing of them at the walls and slideshows and different viewing angles allow you to immerse yourself into this artic world.

A view into the 20][21 gallery

I added a few sample pictures of the exhibiton so that you get an impression. The pictures look better in the 20][21 gallery. For me personally presenting photographs from the physical world in Second Life is a great fit between the two worlds that adds another dimenision to 2D pictures.

Simploring 2018 (62) Formosa Cafe

For my simploring tour on Wednesday, July 18th, I picked “Formosa Cafe” from scoop.it SL Destinations. The Formosa Cafe is a restaurant and bar founded in 1925 and located at 7156 Santa Monica Boulevard at the intersection with North Formosa Avenue, in West Hollywood, California (source wikipedia).
When I followed the provided link to read a little bit about it, I came across Second Life Newers, a blog that exists as long as our blog does, written by several authors. It is about the people, places, things, and events across Second Life and has an extra section about places. Hard to belive that I never came across it before. I added the link to Second Life Newers to the “Other links” section on the right side bar.

The Formosa Cafe in Real Life and in Second Life

In the Second Life Newers blog is a very detailed desripction about Formosa Cafe along with information about it’s creator Gardenia Malheur titled “The Formosa“, written by Klaus Bereznyak. As this post is so detailled and complete, it is hard to add anything – and I won’t.
In his post Klaus Bereznyak also provided a link to another blog post about Formosa Cafe, which was published by riverpearl in her blog “Million Happy Endings” titeled “The Formosa Cafe“. I just had a short look into riverpearl’s blog but its amoung other things also about places in Second Life. I added Million Happy Endings as well to the “Other links” section on the right side bar (Remark: I couldn’t find riverpearl or Pearl Grey in Second Life, hence I assume her username must be different).

Impressions of my visit to Formosa Cafe in Second Life

Of course I also visited the Formosa Cafe and I was not disappointed at all. It is a great cafe and you can sense the atmosphere. It is buildt with love and passion by Gardenia Malheur and as I build myself a little bit in Second Life, I know what it means to get it done in such a perfection, in particular if you want to build something that exists in Real Life.
Comparing the picture from wikipedia with the Formosa Cafe in Second Life, I’m impressed! There’s so much to see and discover in Second Life, that I’d need to get a 3rd and 4th life!

Thank you Gardenia for creating Formosa Cafe and for sharing it with the public. Many thanks also to Klaus Bereznyak and to riverpearl for the great blog posts about it. I enjoyed my short simploring tour.

Update: Today Annie Oh (anniebrightstar), who manages scoop.it SL Destinations, send me a private message: “The Editor of SL Newser is Bixyl Shuftan, Klaus is Klaus (klaus.bereznyak) and Pearl Grey is Pearl Grey (pearlgrey) (in Second Life), all interesting people“. Thank you, Annie. I had only found Klaus.

Happy New Year 2018 and some stats and findings about this blog (2017 in review)

In 2016 I began to blog almost daily, in 2017 I really succeeded to have an entry for every day. Blogging daily is a challenge as there’re days with not that much to report. In addtion, I’m not able to write every day due to other obligations and vacation. Hence I always have some posts on stock and I try to pile up a few more, when I’m off got a few days.
In 2017 I started to number the diary entries as well as the simploring posts. There were more than 200 diary entries and over 100 simploring reports. Over all the blog grew by 374 new posts bringing the total archive of this blog to over 1,100 posts.
As taking pictures is one of my passions in SL and storage space is not free, I also changed the way I publish my pictures and grouped them to save space. When you click the pictures you can see them a bit larger. I also post the pictures on deviant art (Diomita Maurer at Deviant art). There you get the pictures in a higher resultion. I uploaded more than 2,000 pictures in 2017.

We had more than 37,500 clicks this year, again a raise of 10,000 clicks compared to 2016. That’s on average more than 100 clicks per day. The blog attracted 8,500 visitors, an increase of 50% compared to 2016. Most clicks came from Germany (7,800), the US (6,900) and the UK (4,200). The statistics show that in total people from over 100 countries visited our blog. Also the number of followers increased to close to 100! Many thanks to all friends, readers and followers.
Most found our blog coming from search engines (7,500) and from deviantart.com (2,100). Again not only the new blog entries attract readers, there’re also some “evergreens”.
The Top 5 Posts in 2017 were:
1. Kara Bound – April 2014 – 307 clicks – ranked 1st also in 2016
2. The Victorian Corset Story Part II – 230 clicks – March 2017 (written by slave Flo)
3. Simploring 2017 (27) Fortress Mortice – 174 clicks – April 2017
4. Surrender Cove – 156 clicks – October 2016
5. Simploring 2017 (28) Maison de L’amitié – 126 clicks – April 2017
6. Sissy sold – August 2013 – 120 clicks – ranked 2nd in 2016, ranked 1st in 2015

This blog contains a lot of memories for Mistress Jenny and me and for the people close to us in Second Life. It started as a little diary to keep up with all the things happening around us in Second Life and has grown with time. In the meanwhile I read back myself often to look up a date or to check if I came across a place already before. The diary entries became also more personal and you could follow how my submission to Mistress Jenny grew and became natural for me, but you could also follow how much I enjoy to have her as my sub, as my property during my green lights. She’s still owned vice versa and that’s not going to change.
I have fun writing and it’s my intention to continue daily, if I find the time for it. Considering how much of our free time in real life is spent in this virtual world it makes sense to keep the memories like you do in real life. The memories are real and they stay vivid and present this way.
That we attract so many readers who follow our ways in SL makes me happy and motivates me.

Thanks again for reading and following my and our blog.
Have a great year 2018 in SL and in RL, stay healthy!

Simploring 2017 (83) La Vie in Autumn

Last summer, June 2016, I visited “La Vie” the first time (read here). When I saw Inara Pey’s blog post “Autumn comes to La Vie in Second Life” it rang a bell that I’ve been there before and of course I went exploring it again.

October 13th/14th: Impressions of La Vie in Autumn (1)

Compared to my visit last summer she island has been completely refurbished, it is not just a seasonal change. La Vie sim invites you to roam around and to enjoy the views. Some farmhouses are scattered over the island, there are birds, horses and other farm animals around and you find several spots to sit and relax. Of course the leaves are coloured and provide pretty nice opportunities to take pictures. The pictures look like watercolour pieces of art, very peaceful and do express what I felt when visiting La Vie.

October 13th/14th: Impressions of La Vie in Autumn (2)

While I visited, Ocotber 13th and 14th, we had beautiful late summer days where I live and I also enjoyed the nature in the physcial world. La Vie is French and translates to “The Life”, fitting to the title of this post “La Vie in Autumn”. I share some pictures of Autumn that I took these days just close to where I live – it’s Autumn in both worlds.

Thank you Krys Vita for providing your sim to the public. I spent a lovely time.

A letter from slave slut cecy

Today, Tuesday October 3rd, slave slut cecy was online while I was still at work. She cleaned the house and left an offline IM to Mistress Jenny and me. I did not revise it and it was her explicit wish that I publish it on this blog. I decided to fulfil her wish although this blog usually doesn’t touch the boarder between RL and SL…

Hello Dear Mistresses,

just letting You know I already cleaned the whole House and Shangri-La. I know it pleases You and as I promised Mistress Diomita, I finished it between the days She ordered me.

I must confess too I feel super excited and humiliated with this new Evil Titler to me. First, people changed it to “I am a dirty slut!”, then to “Still a dirty slut” and right now Im living with a “Forever a dirty filthy slut”. I cant describe the humiliation. Inclusive, people just changed it and disappear, leaving me exposed with this title.

October 3rd – a letter from slave slut cecy: pictures of our slave slut

I hope this message pleases You, Mistresses, in addition, I hope and beg this message could be shared in the blog just to expose to the world my loyalty in SL and RL, because in my RL Im already melting and soaking my panties typing this, before going to the work. I would feel so thankful in case You share it.

I try my best even I’m in Mexico and its time zones. Dont forget this mexican slut and property loves You so much, Mistresses, and she will do anything, inclusive the worst humiliation to show loyalty. Any other order to follow in RL, Dear Mistresses?

Forever Yours,
Your slut and RL property,
cecilia medina.

1.000 blog posts

I just noticed, that I published the 1.000th post in our blog today. And that’s worth an extra blog post. Writing and keeping our memories of Second Life for our Real Life is still fun. Thank you to all, who follow this blog and who motivate me to continue.
