Art in Second Life 2020 (12) The Itakos Project and Art Gallery

Following Inara Pey’s blog I came across “The Itakos Project and Art Gallery“. Inara had written about an exhibition of Sennaspirit Coronet named “Union” in her post: Senna’s Unions at the Itakos Project in Second Life. And I wanted to see that exhibition.

Right upon my landing I noticed that there’s more than just the exhibition “Union” at The Itakos Project and Art Gallery. Actually it is a place for arts with 7 exhibition rooms or pavillons: White, Black, Grey, Blue, Orange, Purple, Green Pavillion.
The Itakos Project and Art Gallery is owned by Akim Alonzo. There’s also a website where new exhibtions are announced. I came across Akim Alonzo in Oktober 2019 when I visited La Maison d’Aneli where Akim exhibited a series of pictures loosely based on the cult movie The Matrix (see Simploring 2019 (97) La Maison d’Aneli in September / October 2019). Reading my own blogpost again, I had already mentioned that Akim has his own gallery yet I have missed going there.

The Itakos Project and Art Gallery and the current exhibitions

I started my visit in the black pavillion with Sennaspirit Coronet’s “Union”.
“Union” presents portraits of friends, collaborators and lovers in Second Life. Senna writes about it “We all know those people who, while individuals, have close ties to another in world person, whether they be friends, collaborators, or lovers this show celebrations the “Union” we have in this virtual world. When you think of one, very often you naturally envision the other. The great people who gave their time to participate in this show are wonderful examples of these bonds we form and proves that SL is RL.

Impressions of “Union” by Sennaspirit Coronet at The Itakos Project and Art Gallery

Because I live my Second Life also in a close and intense relation this theme did catch my attention immediately. Together with great and artfully showcased portraits we learn a bit about these 17 couples be it by a quote, by describing their common interests or their contrats or by their biographies. In enjoyed reading and looking at the portraits.

Sennaspirit Coronet joined Second Life in late 2006 as part of her RL work in academic publishing and started shooting images in Second Life end of 2007. She worked in the advertising and graphic design business, later worked on digital transformation of assets and publishing. Due to this background the portraits shown in “Union” are very professional and artful.
Senna took breaks from Second Life on a few occasions but the opportunity to do creative work and to be with the many friends always brought her back.

I visited the orange pavillion next. It shows the above mentioned exhibition “The Matrix” by Akim Alonzo – a metaphor for a world of people trapped in a simulated, virtual reality that has many aspects in common with the Secondlife world.

Akim also likes taking portraits and his pictures in this genre are also very professional. The faces tell a story that you can make up for yourself when looking at them. His portraits are shown in the grey pavillion

The white pavillion features “Agape in Pace” by Milena Carbone. “Milena Carbone is a French artist and is in Second Life since mid 2019. She discovered its artistic potential and since then has devoted all her free time to creation, associating, as in real life, images and texts. By accepting the rule of the “double” (the real “I” and the virtual “I”), Milena Carbone includes herself in her artwork. Her creative process is iterative: some of her images inspire her stories and these stories modify the development of the image, which itself transforms the story” (excerpt from a notecard givin at the exhibtion).

Impressions of “Agape in Pace” by Milena Carbone at The Itakos Project and Art Gallery

Agape is a Greco-Christian term referring to love, “the highest form of love, charity” and “the love of God for man and of man for God”. Within Christianity, agape is considered to be the love originating from God or Christ for humankind (see wikipedia)

In “Agape in Pace” Milena tells several stories in words and in texts about Agape, who is oriented towards love and about Lilith, who is  oriented towards hatred. Along with the exhibtion Milena has provides a notecard in which she further details her toughts and texts.

The blue pavillion features Patrick Ireland “Homage to Surrealsim”. I couldn’t find out anything about Patrick Ireland and I never came across him or his art. The pictures are what you expect – a homage to Surealism 🙂

Impressions of “Homage to Surrealsim” by Patrick Ireland at The Itakos Project and Art Gallery

The green pavillion is not a pavillion, it is a plaform that can be reached by teleporting. Here you find the exhibtion “Stolen Child” by CybeleMoon (Hana Hoobinoo) and Akim Alonzo: “The Stolen Child was born from the meeting between CybeleMoon and Akim Alonzo, sharing a passion for Celtic legends and the magical scenarios they evoke. Photos of CybeleMoon and Akim Alonzo’s scenic installation interpret the poem The Stolen Child (1889) by W.B. Yeats, in which it is said that Fairies are not benevolent creatures at all, attracted by strength and vitality of mankind, or beautiful children and especially newborns.” (taken from an accompanying notecard)

And finally I visited the “Matrix Art Club”, an event space that Akim built. I assume it is used for opening events and vernissages. Here I came across Mistero Hifeng again. His sculptures are quite widely spread in Second Life.

Thank you Akim for providing your space for the art, The Itakos Project and Art Gallery. I can sense how much work and passion has gone into it. I look forward to future visits!

Diary 2020 (34) March 4th/5th – The Inflatable Ball Dress

Wednesday, March 4th, I went on an art tour in the afternoon and visited two galleries. It was an inspiring afternoon. Upon my return I sorted a bit in my inventory, added to my wardrobe and finally changed into a short dress before I went to Heavy Bondage Club. slave Luci joined me there, while I was a bit away from my keyboard and knelt by my feet. I summoned slave Flo to me and had a few IMs before I had to tend to my RL again.

March 4th: Diomita with slave Flo and slave Luci at Heavy Bondage Club / Mistress Jenny, Diomita and slave Gwendi dancing at the Caged Elegance Club

My and our night was very relaxed and enjoyable. When I came inworld, none of the family was present and I went to Caged Elegance to attend the Wednesday night party of Gravity (TheriaEriker) there. Shortly after I arrived, slave Gwendi and soon after Mistress Jenny came inworld and they joined me there. We stayed until the party ended at 11 PM. And we had fun, listened to good music, we read profiels and chatted amoung us. We had a short visit to Mesmerize Dungeon, but as there was really nothing going on once again we went home and played 2 rounds of greedy – and that’s it about a really relaxed night.

Thursday, March 4th, I went on a simploring tour after lunch. Later in the afternoon I met with Mistress Jenny. We went to Heavy Bondage Club and caught up with our mutual news there. Mistress had several IMs and I spent a quiet time at her feet, read profiles and made Mistress look well. Again it was intensive for me as times like this do foster my submission to Mistress Jenny. After half an hour we went to our secret skybox and Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. Overall, it was a short but very dense and filled time with Mistress Jenny, who was not inworld at night due to her RL obligations.

March 5th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at Heavy Bondage Club and at our loft skybox

My night had unexpected fun on stock for me. I had planned a bondage night, instead I found slave Flo at home watching slave Ann trying a new rubber suit, called “Inflatable Ball Dress”. It’s from the creator, who also made the Rubber Rocket Doll suit, which with we had lots of fun two years ago (see for example: Diary 2018 (96) June 3rd – Night of the Rubber Rockets Dolls). When I came inworld, slave Ann’s ball dress was fully inflated.

March 5th: Diomita at home with slave Flo and slave Ann with her inflated ball dress

I demanded the keys from the dress and began to play a bit with it. I ended up in a semi inflated state. Time to change plans – I took slave Flo and the inflated slave Ann (nicely gagged by the way) to Mesmerize Dungeon.

March 5th: Diomita at Mesmerize Dungeon with slave Flo, slave Ann with her inflated ball dress, slave Gwendi, slave slut cecy and Argi

We attracted quite some attention and one after the other, slave Gwendi, slave slut cecy and Argi joined us at Mesmerize Dungeon. I had my hands full! Following main chat, following IMs with the slaves, playing with slave Ann’s new suit, setting up slave Flo and slave Gwendi, talking with slave slut cecy (who left with a crash after 15 minutes), talking with Argi and having IMs with other interested people at Mesmerize Dungeon kept me busy and time really just flew by.

March 5th: Diomita at Mesmerize Dungeon with slave Flo, slave Ann with her inflated ball dress, slave Gwendi and Argi

You can rely on slave Flo, she left at 11.30 PM punctual. I stayed a little bit longer with Argi, slave Gwendi and the inflated slave Ann and went back home 15 minutes later. Back at home, I deflated slave Ann’s ball dress and returned the key, then I retreated to our skybox. Mistress Jenny had left clear orders how she wanted to find me the next day. Hence I changed according to Mistress’ order and then called it a night. What a full night that has been!

Art in Second Life 2020 (11) The Meaning of Love by Natalia Seranade

For my art afternoon on Wednesday, March 4th, I first picked the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery from scoop.it SL Destinations. Nitroglobus Roof Gallery is a Second Life gallery that has exhibitions and installations of both emerging and well-known artists and is owned and curated by Dido Haas. Besides the art of Dido Haas herself the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery currently features an exhibition named “The Meaning of Love” by Natalia Seranade.

Natalia Seranade is almost 10 years in Second life. She captures encounters, random incidents and morphs them, using Photoshop, into works of art. Natalia has had quite some exhibtions in Second Life already, yet it is the first that I came across her. She titeled the exhibtion “The Meaning of Love”. Along with a short biography of her you can grab a notecard at the gallery with Natalia’s thoughts about the exhibition:
Love in Second Life is not different from Real Life, it is a relation between two people – it works out happily or it doesn’t. But there are many risks when getting involved in a virtual relationship: ‘the dark side’, as Natalie calls it. She gives just a few examples: “the large amount of people who lie, who pretend to be a person they are not, giving false information, showing fake pictures, etc. People with addictions, people with mental  disorders, people with more that one avatar (ALTs) used for ‘bad’ purposes like spying or harassing, or, used even to have other ‘lives’ with other relationships. People who do ghosting: the practice of ceasing all communication and contact with a partner, without any apparent justification and subsequently ignoring any attempts to reach out or communicate made by said partner.
Behind the screen people tend to show the good and hide their flaws. There are many disappointments.
It seems that everything in SL happens more fast then in RL: some people meet, immediately start a relationship and get married (partnered). However, most of the time a fast start indicates a fast ending. One of the reasons being that in the minds of the partners they create an ideal figure of who they hope to find. This idealization creates expectations and people get hurt when things don’t go as they expected. The mind can turn ‘nothing’ into ‘everything’ and ‘everything’ into ‘nothing’. Love in SL is it real or just a fantasy?”

“The Meaning of Love” by Natalia Seranade at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery

Natalia’s pictures impress through their strong colours. It takes some time to see the details. I was in particular impressed by a picture named “The first filter” showing two persons holding up boards, on one board you find a very common motto in Second Life: SL=SL / RL=RL, meaning the strict separation of the two, on the other board you find the opposite SL=RL. The picture expresses perfectly that people with different attitudes won’t fit unusally and the one who wants to cross the line between RL and SL might be hurted.

“The Meaning of Love” by Natalia Seranade at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery (lower right shows the above mentioned “The first filter”

Hurted feeling and fears is the common theme of “The Meaning of Love” but there are also quite some pictures that can be interpreted as joyful. The pictures of Natalia Serenade fit very well in the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery. The mirrowing floor showcase them perfectly and adds another dimension to them. The statues and the other stuff of Dide Haas complete the exhibtion room. Overall, I really liked this exhibtion. Very well done!

The permanent exhibition of Dido Haas’s work at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery (1)

In a second room Dido Haas presents her own art. Dido is a photographer, she is the owner and curator of Nitroglobus Hall, as well as a blogger (Exploring SL with Dido). At least right now her permanent exhibition presents erotic portraits and pictures, I assume of herself. Once again the pictures develop a particular strength through the mirror effect of the floor – beside that the pictures are highly erotic in my personal opinion. And they fit perfectly to the current exhibtion “The Meaning of Love”.

Thank you Dido for providing the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery, for featuring “The Meaning of Love” by Natalia Seranade and for your own art. I enjoyed my visit a lot!

Diary 2020 (33) March 2nd/3rd relaxed days under control

Mistress Jenny had a relaxed day in Second Life on Monday, March 2nd. The slaves are all set for this month all wearing the RF asylum suit. This includes slave BB (Ebony Massey). In the afternoon, slave Luci and slave BB were present and we took them to Mesmerize Dungeon for one hour. We watched the (silent) crowd, read profiles and caught up with our mutual news while the slaves sweat in their suits. I appreciate that the suits have an inbuilt cycle, that can be set to change the binding every once in a while. This makes it easier for me and also more surprising as I don’t know myself what binding is next for the slaves.

March 2nd: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Mesmerize Dingeon with slave BB and slave Luci

My night began very enjoyable. Mistress Jenny was not yet inworld but slave Gwendi was present. I was in a quit slutty mood and dressed accordingly. I took slave Gwendi to our dungeon and allowed her to smell and taste me. I had in mind just to tease her but her tongue was quite irresistable and she brought me to a nice orgasm. That’s was nice start into the night.

March 2nd: Diomita getting licked by slave Gwendi at our dungeon

When Mistress came back inworld we first played 2 rounds of greedy with slave Flo and slave Gwendi and then went to Psi’s realm first. Unfortunately (an quite rarely) there was not much going at at Psi’s and hence we moved on the Puerto Esclava. It was full there but also quiet. I tried to initiate some main chat but I did not succeed. Nonetheless it was a nice change to be there once again and Mistress and I had a few IMs too.

March 2nd: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Psi’s realm and at Puerto Esclava with slave Flo and slave Gwendi

We returned home at slave Flo’s bedtime and as Mistress Jenny had also an early start the next day we went to bed quite early ourselves.

In the afternoon of Tuesday, March 3rd, I spent an hour with slave Fo- I took her to the Lezdom room at Mature Dommes and tried out the rack in the corner there. It turned out to be a spanking machine and slave Flo was way to thick encased in her aasylum suit for it. But now I know what the rack is intended for. Being already in this room I took the opportunity and made slave Flo lick me to a nice orgasm. After I had recovered, I went to Psi’s realm with slave Flo for a few minutes, then it was already time for me to tend to my RL again.

March 3rd: Diomita with slave Flo at Mature Dommes and at Psi’s realm

I started my night with a game of greedy with slave Gwendi. When we had finished she had to pee and I led her into the bushes. Obviously the sound and watching caused that I had to pee myself. Good, whne a slave is there. I took slave Gwendi to our dungeon and donated my pee to her. In the meanwhile slave Flo had arrived and we continued playing greedy until Mistress Jenny joined us at the table.

March 3rd: Diomita and slave Gwendi / Mistress Jenny, Diomita, slave Flo and slave Gwendi by the game tables

We had a gaming night and played on round a skipee as teams. It was very enjoyable and a close game that slave Gwendi and I won finally just before slave Flo’s bedtime. Mistress Jenny and I retreated to our skybox, we talked about the next day and I asked Mistress for my fix. She granted it but everything comes at a price. I had to wear the new hood and hence could just hear, smell and taste Mistress. What an end of an enjoyable night! Thank you, Mistress Jenny, my world.

Simploring 2020 (20) Cherishville-Spring 2020

After I visited Dya’s Abandoned Vacation Spot (see Simploring 2020 (16) Dya’s Abandoned Vacation Spot 🙂) I got in contact with Lam Erin who had helped designing it. Lam told me that he’s working at “Cherisville-Spring 2020” and offered to send me a note when he has finished. I got this note yesterday, Tuesday, March 10th, and went seeing it last thing at night.

Cherishville-Spring 2020 is a moderate homestead owned and designed by Lam Erin and his partner Azaria (amariahrenee). According to the landmark profile it is “open for a few weeks for bloggers, photographers and explorers. Enjoy your stay and take lots of pics!

Cherishville-Spring 2020 – bird’s eye overview (1)

Cherisville is an island. In the center is a huge rock and a road leads all around it’s shore. There’re two large ponds at each side of the central rock. Along the road you find some residential houses, a workshop, ruins of a house, a house boat, a boat rental and several spots to sit and enjoy.

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (1) – around the landing pier

The landing is on a pier where you get first impressions of Cherishville. The sound of birds is always present and you see them everywhere. I was impressed of Cherisville from the very first moment. The landscape is simply overwhelmingly beautiful. I used the windlight setting that Lam provided. Everything looks very natural, rural and peaceful.

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (2) – the main house and the Irish pub

I made a full tour walking along the road counterclockwise. From the pier I walked to the largest house and had a short look inside. It is furnished fitting to the rural setting, not very luxurious but cosy. Next to the house you find a few free-range chicken on one side and a nice Irish pub on the other side.

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (3) – boat rental, the house with the open roof

I continued and came along the boat rental and another house. I sat down just opposed to the house and enjoyed the view. My next stop was at a smaller house with an open roof. This house is also furnished quite simple but cosy. On the other side of the rock is a workshop, a great motif for taking pictures.

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (4) – the workshop and the house boat

I made a short stop at the house boat and later at the ruins of a former residential home before I returned and sat down at the Irish pub.

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (5) – scenic views around the ruins of a house

Impressions of Cherishville-Spring 2020 (6) – more scenic views, a rest at the Irish pub

What makes Cherisville-Spring 2020 outstanding is it’s nature. It is a perfect place for taking pictures and I couldn’t get enough of it. Each view is particular. I really enjoyed my visit a lot! Thank you Lam and Azaria. I’m pretty sure you will get a lot of positive feedback. Spring has arrived in Second Life …. and hopefully will also arrive in our Real Life.

20200301 Diary 2020 (32) March 1st Under full control (IV)

When I got inworld on Sunday, March 1st, in the later morning Mistress Jenny was also inworld. She was trying out her hobble dress. I shortly thought or hope that she was in a mood for being tied up and that I’d get a short mini green light – but no. Mistress was trying out what to do next. Before I could say anything more she reached me a black latex hood, made me wear my vixen cuffs, locked everything tight, restricted me, leashed me and took me to club DeLust. We stayed there for a bit but then I had to leave to tend to my RL. Mistress brought me to our loft skybox and leashed me there before I left. What a Sunday morning!

March 1st: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at our loft skybox

When we returned in the afternoon Mistress first experimented with her mesh body and her tattoos. She worked about an hour but she couldn’t get it like she (and I) wanted it to be. She stopped and asked me if I wanted my fix. Of course I wanted it. While I licked Mistress he whispered again into my ears about my deepening submission, all hers to do as she sees fit. Although I was hooded and focused on licking and getting my fix, the words sank in like in hypnosis.

Afterwards Mistress made me wear the Venus corset along with a red catsuit. She herself wore a black and red latex dress. It was quite a fitting outfit. Mistress took me to club Domme a Domme for about half an hour, then it was time for me to tend to my RL again.

March 1st: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at our loft skybox / at club Domme a Domme / at home

Sunday night we harvested the fruits of our “work” the night before. slave Flo, slave Gwendi and slave Luci were present all nicely wrapped up in their asylum suits. We took the slaves to Psi’s realm first and then to Mesmerize Dungeon. Three slave restcited in equal suits attract some attention. I had fun learning the menu of the suits and tried several settings. Finally I set the legbinding to cycle every 5 minutes. That led to funny constellations of the slaves. We got quite some attention, the slave decorated Mistress Jenny and me well. When it was slave Flo’s bedtime we went off ourselves…. it was a Sunday with quite a lot inworld time. And I sense how I fall deeper and deeper…

March 1st: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with slave Gwendi, slave Flo and slave Luci at Psi’s realm and at Mesmerize Dungeon / Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at home

And the title of the entry is true for myself and for the slaves, hence has a nice double meaning *winks*

Simploring 2020 (19) [.uphill village] [B R O K E N] [Todaimae]

For my simploring tour Saturday, February 15th, I picked “[.uphill village] [B R O K E N] [Todaimae]” from scoop.it SL Destinations.
[.uphill village] [B R O K E N] [Todaimae] is located on an adult full region and extends over 4 levels. It is owned by MOONCHILD (Manis Lane).

The landing point is in an underground parking from where you can teleport to three different destinations: Todaime (on the ground), uphill village (at 1.500 m) and Broken (at 2.000 m)

The landing at [.uphill village] [B R O K E N] [Todaimae] – from here you start your visit

I started my simploring tour at uphill village, a section of a big city. You arrive at a bus stop next to an underground station. The city looks busy. From the signs and from what you can see uphill village could be somewhere in the US or in Japan (at the underground station are Japanese characters) or in Fance (Rue Du Faubourg De Bourgogne). uphill villageg offers a lot of great opportunities for taking pictures in a city. Some of the houses and shops are furnished, not for walking in but for the look from ouside. You find a small flea market and flower store on the sidewalk, you can look into a book store and into an appartment house. In the background some skyscrapers complete the city.

I visited Todaime on the ground next. Todaime, almost hidden – almost forgotten, is a place that reminds MOONCHILD (Manis Lane) of Gion, a district of Kyoto in Japan. Here you don’t have the impression of being in a big city. I more feels like being in an oasis of peace, maybe within a big City. Japanese cherry birchs are blooming. It clearly looks like in Japan. You can walk inside a house, you can visit a nice park or take some pictures.

Overview / Impressions of Todaimae (1)

Impressions of Todaimae (2)

Finally I visited Broken, “a place only you and I know!”. For me Broken was the highlight of my visit. It is a long abandonned city where the nature took over the place again: Gras, flowers, tree, birds, a grazing horse aside of an old record shop, rotten cars and barricaded shops. In the background empty residential appatment blocks behind a fence with a sign ” Warning Keep Out Quarantine”. Of course I tried to go there, but there’s nothing to see and you fall easily through the ground, hence be careful. But it is a great background.

I had fun simploring [.uphill village] [B R O K E N] [Todaimae]. Thank you, MOONCHILD (Manis Lane), for sharing your place with the public.

Diary 2020 (31) February 29th – Under full control (III)

Saturday, February 29th, Mistress and I managed to meet in the later morning. We caught up with our mutual news, then Mistress added cuffs to my wrists, upper arms and ankles, locked them and took me to Mature Dommes. We were not alone there, the room next door was occupied as well, but we only heard a few words from there. Mistress Jenny talked about the family with me. She decided that slave Christin was to be demoted to a sub friend as we didn’t hear from here for 3 months although she had been inworld shortly at least twice. Mistress also decided about my next green light and I do look forward to it!
I enjoyed time at Mistress’ feet, then she brought me to the skybox of our loft. Mistress leashed me there, locked me into a hogtie, restricted my communication and left me there as she had to tend to her RL.

February 29th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at home and at Mature Dommes

When I returned inworld in the earlier afternoon, Mistress had already returned as well. She released me from the hogtie, took her pants and top off and pulled my head into her crotch. I inhaled Mistress’ scent eagerly and was allowed to lick Mistress. And while I got my fix and enjoyed Mistress’ taste, she whispered to me about my submission to her, about my ongoing fall deeper and deeper into being at her mercy. Finally Mistress had a nice orgasm and I got my fix this way.

Mistress put her boot at my crotch and ordered me to rub myself against it. I got more and more aroused, blinded out my degradation and used Mistress boot. I was just about to cum when Mistress withdraw her boot, stood up and took me to Heavy Bondage Club. What a frustration! It took a while for me to calm down and Mistress kept me muted. I just had her to talk to and after a while I could calm. Mistress was playing with me and obviously enjoying herself and her power. She demonstrated to me how much I depend on her and her mood. We stayed some time at the club, then Mistress took me back to the loft skybox and once again sat down and had me rub myself on her boot. I had to hope that I wouldn’t get frustrated another time. But this time Mistress allowed me to cum and I had a nice orgasm  .. and I fully blinded out in what way I got it. Mistress Jenny continued leading me into total submission to her and I’m thankful for it.

February 29th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at the loft skybox and at Heavy Bondage Club

We went to club Domme a Domme for half an hour. I was still restricted from main chat and focused on Mistress. We had a private conversation with a friend at club Domme a Domme, then we returned home. Mistress released me from the cuffs and the other retrictions before she went off into her RL.

We spent our night at home. slave Flo and Ebony Massey, a long time friend of ours who we see every once in a while were present. slave Flo had cleaned the house and Ebony had swept, good girls. Mistress Jenny first told slave Flo off for failing to remind us of her 11th rezzday anniversary. And of course that had to be punished in some way. Mistress and I decided that the right way of punishing it were some smacks on her cute butt and getting her into the slave outfit that we selected for the upcoming month – the asylum suit from Restrained Freedom.
slave Gwendi joined us just when we began to show the new suit to slave Flo. To make a longer story short. At the end of the night slave Flo, slave Gwendi and Ebony were locked in new restrictive suits. But it was a time consuming “project” as the slaves needed to learn how to wear it properly, how to colour the suit, how to relinquish control to us. And these technical issues destroy any attempt of roleplaying and can be a bit stressful. Ebony is now our slave BB, the Big Black, she herself prefers BB standing for Black Bitch. So far it is just drawing her a bit closer to us while she has a bit more time inworld at the moment.
Ann came by also and was helpful as she knows the asylum suit and the menus. Mistress and I agree that she will have to relinquish control to us as well *winks*.

February 29th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita putting slave FLo, slave Gwendi and Ebony in RF asylum suits – Ann helped

Time flew by and it was already far after midnight when Mistress and I retreated after a night at home.

Art in Second Life 2020 (10) Another Fairy Tale by Cica Ghost

Yesterday, March 7th, I got an invitation from Cica Chost. She had opened her newest installation named “Another Fairy Tale“. As usual Cica provides a quote along with her installation, something to think about while visiting “Everything you look at can become a fairy tale and you can get a story from everything you touch. (Hans Christian Andersen)

Right at the landing you’re asked to use advanced lighting and to set shadows with sun/moon and projectors. The scenery at Another Fairy Tale by Cica Ghost is set at night and Cica plays with lights and projectors to showcase her animals. This time we meet dragons, some snails, some other animals which I’d call horses or unicorns (it’s something inbetween), bugs, dead sharks and other fantasy animals.

Impressions of “Another Fairy Tale by Cica Ghost” (1)

The human visitor is once again just a dwarf. Even the flowers are huge. The landscape is hilly but sometimes what seems to be a hill is just the tail or the back of another huge dragon or animal. As always it is fun to have a detailed look at Cica’s animals with their big eyes that seemingly watch you.

Opposed to the landing point you find 3 dead sharks that stick in the ground. Their opened mouth is the entrance to kind of a living room for snails. And plants and flowers are growing from the sharks gills. Bugs fly around everywhere, I didn’t count them, and they are also really big. You can “sit” on them and will find yourself hanging at one to their legs and accompany them flying around.

By th use of projectors some animals are in the spotlight sometimes and that makes them look even more interesting, for example one dragon – or is it the monster of Loch Ness (?), comes up from the depths of the sea and looks around.

Close to the landing point is the biggest dragon, you can walk up it’s tail and back almost up to it’s head and you get a nice view from there. Under it’s tail, that is used as bridge, is another smaller dragon in the sea.

I had fun exploring Another Fairy Tale by Cica Ghost and looking at Cica’s animals. And you can let your mind wander and think of a fantasy or fairy tale that would fit into this scene. Although the animals are huge, they are not scary. They seem to be peacefully enjoying their lives and to look very interested at these little human visitors.

Overall, Cica’s animals made me smile again. Thank you for another great fantasy world, Cica!

Simploring 2020 (18) Ubay Island

Today I came across Ubay Island and I should have noticed it before. With closing his summer version of Khodovarikha (read Simploring 2020 (13) Welcome back, Slava – Khodovarikha in Summer) Serene Footman has opened up another place: Ubay Island.

Serene Footman’s Ubay Island – overview

I strongly recommend reading Serene’s blogpost about this place in his blog here before you visit. Ubay Island is in the province of Bohol, Philippines, flooded due to climate change and the 2013 earthquake. It has an area of 1,5 hectares and a population of 223.

Serene describes the living conditions on Ubay Island in his blog. It is absolutely astonishing how people manage to live there with wet feet getting flooded with each high tide. Serene has two short video’s in his blogpost. Don’t miss watching them. I promise you’ll get a different view on what you see in Second Life.

Impressions of Ubay Island (2) – discovering by boat

Serene has added some spots from the real Ubay Island into his Second Life version of it. I want to mention the basketball court right where you land when visiting Ubay Island (This is where we play) and the ruined building admist the sea, that is used by children as jumping and diving platform. This building has been realized by Harry Cover (Impossibleisnotfrench).

Impressions of Ubay Island (3) – the school and the church

There are swamps close by just as in the real place and hidden in them is a shack that is dedciated to another aspect of the local culture: Filipino folk magic, known as Kulam or ‘Pagkukulam’ (look it up on wikipedia)

Needless to say that Serene has added a lot of details to discover! The huts are mostly furnished, you find countless opportunities to sit and look around. There’s also a boat rental so that you can discover the swamps without getting wet feet. And for our convenience Serene has built wooden walks to get around in the village.

Once again I learned something new and saw a place that I never would have come across without Serene’s Second Life installation. Don’t miss out seeing it. As ususal this place won’t be available very long. Thank you very much, Serene!
