Diary 2018 (52) March 25th/26th – Enjoying control / kinkploring

I had a relaxed Sunday, March 25th. I first went simploring in the afternoon and visited the Isle of May (see yesterday’s post here), then I met with Jenny shortly but long enough to catch up with eachother’s news, and my night was relaxed as well.
Angelique and the two slave drones Flo I and Flo II were present and we had a game of Skipee together (Angelique won it this time). slave drone Flo II (aka. AnneWanne) went off to bed after the game and Angelique, slave drone Flo I and I went visiting The Secret House. It was full and Argi (Prinzesschen Arigchen Boachen *winks*) stood in the middle of the club and entertained averybody in main chat talking with a friend of hers. As it was full we had a lot of lag though and Argichen couldn’t even hug us properly.
When it was time for slave Flo to leave for bed Angelique and I went back home and we chatted and cuddled for half an our on the raft there (really nothing more, besides I need to search her chastity belt’s key anyway before there could be more *winks). And that’s it about Sunday.

March 25th: Diomita and Angelique – with slave Flo at The Secret house (left) / cuddling at home (right)

My Monday, March 26th, started with meeting Jenny in the late afternoon. I put her into her new straight jacket and exposed her at Domme a Domme. I do get very used again to being in control. That was a nice start into the week.

March 26th: Diomita with her property Jenny at Domme a Domme and taking advantage of her at home

I started the night with taking advantage of my property, for sure a good way to start an evening, very enjoyable. When we had changed, we went kinkploring with the two slave drones and Angelique. We visited SAG (Slave Auction Group), “SL’s oldest and highest quality slave auction“. Our visit was also meant to keep up the permanent threat, that slaves can be sold if their owners decide it or if they’d really need the money. We didn’t stay long and I just took 2 pictures.

The second place we visited was Interwoven Dominance, a place owned by Lady Gi-Gi McCormick (goodkisses) and Jim McCormick. From what we saw it is a nce BDSM community offering regular events, a nice dance place, meeting places and of course a (partly outdoor) dungeon. We all wore too many scripts for Interwoven Dominance and got messages to decrease the amount of textures and scripts. Hence we didn’t stay long. There were others active at the sim and we didn’t like to add too much lag for them. I might return for a more detailed exploration of Interwoven Dominance.

After kinkploring we had to relax and played one round of Skipee. The game was long (slave drone Flo I won it) and when we finished it, it was time for everybody to log off for bed.

March 25th: slave Kelly at Psi’s realm

P.S.: slave kelly is still at Psi’s realm as well as slave slut cecy. slave kelly sent a picture of herself with a visitor. The visitor just looked at her like looking at a exhibition objects for several long minutes and didn’t speak a word as slave kelly told us.

Simploring 2018 (30) – Isle of May

scoop.it SL Destinations has become my favourite source for picking destinations for my simploring tour. Sunday, March 25th, I came across “Isle of May“, a new sim created by Serene Footman.
I was excited seeing a new sim of Serene. Serene’s sims are facinating and bring you to destinations you might never see in the physical world but you can visit them in this virtual environment and you also begin to make some research about these places. Hence it is like a real short vacation. The last place of Serene Footman was Khodovarika and I also saw Dunkirk – La Digue du Braek and Furillen.
This said, you know why I was excited to see “Isle of May“.

The Isle of May (source: wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_May)

The Isle of May is located in the north of the outer Firth of Forth, approximately 8 km (5.0 mi) off the coast of mainland Scotland. It is 1.8 kilometres (1.1 miles) long and less than half a kilometre wide. Itwas designated a National Nature Reserve on 12 June 1956 and is managed by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH). Although only around 57 hectares in size, over 285 bird species have been recorded on the island. At the height of the breeding season, the Isle of May can host around 200,000 seabirds, including puffins, kittiwake, guillemots, razorbills, shags and fulmars. These numbers can fluctuate considerably from year to year, depending on weather and fish stocks.
As well as its natural heritage, the Isle of May also has a rich cultural heritage, including St Adrian’s Chapel, the Isle of May Lighthouse and others.
Most visitors to the island are daytrippers taking the ferry from Anstruther in Fife, although up to six visitors can stay at the bird observatory, usually for a week at a time. The only way to get there is by ferry; the journey takes 45 minutes from the small ports of Anstruther and Crail, and also from North Berwick.
The island is closed to visitors from 1 October until Easter to prevent disturbance to the large number of seal pups. The Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick has two live cameras on the island, which can be remotely controlled by visitors, to allow close viewing of the seabird cities, including puffins, guillemots, razorbills, shags, cormorants and terns and the fluffy grey seal pups in winter, without disturbance. The Scottish Seabird Centre also runs boat trips to the Isle of May (from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_May).

Isle of May in Second Life – overview

Isle of May in Second Life – around the landing point

While the real Isle of May has no permanent residents, Serene’s island is home to a small group of artists, a lighthouse keeper and a ranger who takes care of the island’s birds and wildlife. The sim is on two levels, with a beautiful, peaceful U-shaped cliff top area covered in vegetation and lower beaches on either side. The buildings on the sim are few: the main house stands at the centre of the sim, with a lighthouse and foghorn station to one side and the wildlife keeper’s office together with the ruins of St Adrian’s Chapel on the other.

Impressions of Isle of May in Second Life (1)

Down below, on small beaches, there are various buildings such as an old stone house, beach huts and a fisherman’s lodge. All around the island there is a wild sea crashing against rocks and cliffs (excerpt from Serene’s homepage).

Impressions of Isle of May in Second Life (2)

In Second Life the Isle of May offers a lot of places to sit and watch, to listen to she sounds of birds and nature and to look at the wild sea crashing against the rocks. The main house in the center of the island, right next to the landing, is worth to visit also from the inside. There’re several ateliers for artists and the views through the windows are great.

I also liked the fisherman’s lodge, that snuggles against the rock in a quite wind protected niche – I got 99 problems and fishing solves all of them. Isle of May is for enjoying the nature and finding some peace, a short vacation just like I expected it.

At Serene Footman’s Homepage I found this video about “Isle of May in Second Life” taken by Serendipity Dyrssen.

Diary 2018 (50) March 23rd – The Spring

We had a great Friday, March 23rd. In the afternoon I met with Jenny and took her to Domme a Domme again to expose her while we caught up with our news RL and SL. Surprisingly, slave kelly came inworld. She’s still stored at Psi’s realm. Her RL prevents her from getting online right now but we shall see more of our horny slave toy soon again.
Jenny and I visited her and selected another cage for her at Psi’s, a hanging cage right below of the main meeting room at Psi’s realm. slave kelly attracted some attention already while we were there with her. We teased her a bit and made some mean plans, then it was time for us to leave. I stored my property Jenny in a cage at the annex of our skybox where I picked her up when I returned for our Friday night party.

Virgo selected “Spring” as the theme for this Friday night party – hence the title of this diary post. I did select this title also as we have a real spring day outside and I have my window open and enjoy fresh spring air while writing my diary entry.
Our party was real fun again. The two slave drones Flo I and Flo II (Anne) provided a lot of opportunites for teasing and having banter. I had slave kelly in private chat most of the time and this way she attended the party as well while she suffered for Jenny and me at Psi’s realm. Once again, the Friday night party was a perfect start into the weekend.

Diary 2018 (49) March 22nd – The Nothing

Thursday, March 22nd, turned out to be a simploring and kinkploring day. In the afternoon, I visited “Bees and Bears” by Cica Ghost (read yesterday’s post here) and at night I took Jenny and slave drone Flo on a kinkploring tour to “The Nothing :: [Femdom – D/s – RLV]“.

I found the landmark and the description in someone’s profile while standing around in one of our clubs. The Nothing is “a dreamscape located beyond the mists, it’s home of the House of Naxxras and their kindred“. It is tagged with “petplay ponyplay forest bdsm findom objectification transformation lesbian futa femboy shemale matriarchy demon mistress“. Sounded tempting for me :-).

The Nothing – overview (upper left) and at the landing point

The landing point is in a dome-shaped building obviously used as a place to dance and meet. There’s some bdsm furniture as well as bondage gear and a few cages. It’s quite stylish and nice. The Nothing is an adlut rated homestead and group owned. The founder of the group and most probably the owner of the sim is Nohemi Adonis Naxxras (hairtuss).
The Nothing is a rocky, densely wooded island – and it is foggy (unless you change the windlight settings – I did change it for the purpose of exploring). There are several trails and levels and you can easily get lost.

The Nothing – in a hidden dungeon

We found quite some cosy places. All of them not too large, but big enough for more than two persons and often equipped with a few bdsm toys, like cells or bondage frames. I assume that there are more than just one hidden dungeon in the underground – we just did only find one during our short visit to The Nothing.

Impressions of The Nothing

I can confirm that the description “a dreamscape located beyond the mists” fits very well. Besides being a place to live out our kinks, it is a lovely mysterious island and offers a lot of possibilities for taking pictures or just to wind down.
During our visit we were more or less all alone on the island. I don’t know if there’s a regular event at The Nothing or a regular group of people using it but I suspect that. It might be a homestead like ours, used to meet during the prime time of our timezone, and to play every once in a while. It’s open to the public and I consider to take advantage of it one or the other day. For sure a place to see to enjoy the atmosphere or to play.

Thank you Nohemi Adonis Naxxras (hairtuss) for providing the The Nothing to the public.

After our visit to The Nothing we winded down for a bit at Mesmerize dungeon, so that slave drone Flo could recover from being dragged around before she went to bed. I took my property to Domme a Domme to expose her as I still can’t get enough of seeing her at my feet. And I crowned the night using her at home.

Simploring 2018 (29) – Bees and Bears by Cica Ghost

Cica Ghosts work became a regular part of my SL experience. Just recently in 2018 I visited her Bird People, the 50 cats  and her exhibition “from Under the Sea“. And now I got an invitation from Cica Ghost to see her “Bees and Bears“.

Bees and Bears by Cica Ghost

I visited “Bees and Bears” on Thursday, March 22nd. Cica selected a funny description for it “What do you call a bears without ears? – B’s“. Bees and Bears is installed on island with the typical Cica touch. The ground is first of all meagre but there are fields of white, large flowers, some trees, a few paths made of stones, some meadows and you can even find a spot with mushrooms. And of course there are bees, many of them and they’re quite large and most of them wear a smile in their face while they busy collect farina or transport baskets with honey.

First impressions of “Bees and Bears” around the landing spot (lower right shows Cica and me)

Besides the fields of flowers you’ll find 4 outstanding spots and scenes:
– the bee fairy who stands on one hill and is surrounded by bees
– the village where the bee live in their hives. Have a look into the hives, some are empty, some only inhabited by one bee, others are used by several bees to sleep in and some ore used a honey storage.
– the two bears, also surrounded by bees and flowers, one bear pulls a little cart with a pot of honey
– Cica’s hut with a small garden

Bees and Bears by Cica Ghost – the 4 highlights

It all looks very peaceful. It is a world of it’s own, like a fairy tale. Happy bees, happy bears, the bee fairy, growing flowers, green meadows, the little garden and some trees transformed the meagre island into a happy spot for an escape of everyday life.

Bees and Bears by Cica Ghost – the village of beehives

For the fun, Cica also provides a bee car which you can use to cruise over the island. And every visitor can grab a free flower and either hold it during the visit or take it home and plant it (I did both!).
At the landing spot you can also get a notecard with the list of Cica’s former installations in Second Life as well as a landmark to her inworld shop. I met Cica during my visit and we had a small chat. She told me that she always has just one installation open for a limited time, then she closes it and works on the next.

Bees and Bears by Cica Ghost – Cica’s hut and Cica’s bee car

Bees and Bears has not such a serious background as the Bird People. The only message I can think of is the current debate about mass death of bees due to environmental factors and pesticides – here at Bees and Bears, they have a their own little world and can demonstrate their important contribution to life. Nonetheles, Bees and Bears is more providing a smile and transfers some of the bees and bears happiness to the visitor, at least I left with a smile in my face.

Go and visit yourself as long as it is open to the public.
Thank you Cica!

Diary 2018 (47) March 20th – Jenny’s new appearance

Tuesday, March 20th, I enjoyed my property, my very owned Mistress, in the afternoon. This time I took her to Heavy Bondage club to expose her. You might notice in the pictures, that my property wears her new mesh head. Besides catching up with each others news we also talked about her new appearance. Jenny had already added some freckles, which really belong to her herself. After we caught up, I took her home to the annex and got spoiled by her *winks*

March 20th: Diomita with her very owned Mistress at Heavy Bondage Club trying out different poses of Jenny’s new straight jacket

Our night was very relaxed. We saw our niece Angelique just shortly, because she had to leave for bed early. Jenny had further worked on her mesh head and she’s happy as it is now – I am too :-). We played a round of Skipee with the slave drones Flo I and II, chatted and had a relaxed time. When we finished just one round (Jenny won this time), it was already bedtime for slave Flo. I took Jenny to our studio and made a new portrait picture of her. She’s really a beauty – the magic of Second Life.

March 20th – Jenny’s new appearance: Mrs. and Mrs. Maurer / Jenny Maurer

We had a short time at Domme a Domme as I can’t get enough of seeing my property at my feet … and that’s it for this diary entry.

Simploring 2018 (28) – Sun City

Sunday afternoon, March 18th, I went simploring again. I picked “Sun City” from the scoop.it SL Destinations. The featured picture looked nice, sunny and warm. Just the right place to be, as we experience winter days again in the physical world (mid of March!).

Sun City – overview

The landmark’s description is short but fits quite well “A sleepy city on Sunshine Island – not RP – bergson bowling alley / wedding chapel / explore / photography 60 min rez”. Sun City is group owned, the group was founded by Lily Dough (lilydough). In the group description I found a reference to Maybe Jones (May Tremont) for anything Sunshine Island related. As all buildings and objects I checked are owned by Maybe, I suspect that he or she is the creator of Sun City. Maybe Jones also owns a store for bdsm gear and furniture named [Linked] and there’s an inworld store at Sun City. Sun Island is an adult homestead.

Sun City – First impressions from the landing point

I got not disppointed upon my landing. It’s sunny at Sun City and it has the atmosphere of Summer. Sun City consists of one large promenade with quite a lot of shops and stores. There’s everything you would expect at a destination for a Summer vacation: Tourist info, cafe, laundromat, bowling, tea shop, cold drinks, ice etc. I visted the bowling. It has just one lane, but that’s all you need in Second Life. And it reminded me that we should do that again. It’s fun! Of course I also had a look into the [Linked] store.

Sun City – Bowling and [Linked] store

There’re some more activities to do at Sun City. I made a short trip with a small two seat plane. You can rezz it by clicking on the air sock by the runway. I also made a short trip with a pedal boot. The pier for the pedal boat is close to the landing point. Also close to the landing point at the beach is a place to meet with friends, to sit together around a campfire or just to enjoy the sun in a lounger.
On a seperate island is a wedding chapel. It really has all you need for a wedding including poseballs for a dance. I like the place.

Impressions of Sun City

Sun City is a nice mixture between a Mediterranean village and an American coastal village, maybe even Caribean. It has a bit of everything. The serenity and the cars and motor scooters of the Mediterranean, the buildings and their facades do fit with more with America.
Overall, a really nice place with some potential activities and the feeling of Summer.

Sun City – the wedding chapel and at the beach

Thank you Lily Dough (lilydough) and Maybe Jones (May Tremont) for creating and providing Sun City to the public. I enjoyed my visit!

Diary 2018 (45) March 17th/18th Green – finally

Saturday, March 17th, was one of these days in Second Life, where I could not realize what I planned. I met with Jenny in the afternoon for an hour. We were at Domme a Domme and chatted and read profiles. I also told her about my plans for the night. Jenny herself couldn’t go online at night.
When I came inworld, slave drone Flo was present and I turned her restrictions a bit tighter before I took her to The Secret House to expose her and to hae some eye candy myself. I waited for Angelique who was stuck at the Apostasy by a punishment – and that took way longer then she and I thought. When she arrived home, I ordered her to strip and took off her cuffs and the chastity belt. Then I used an old (recently updated) spell HUD to turn her into my panties.

March 17th: Diomita (with Angeli as my panties) and slave drone Flo (left) / Diomita with Angelique and slave drone Flo (upper right) / playing Skipee (lower right)

Unfortunately it didn’t work as planned. Angelique had to possibility to communicate nor to emote and was fully blinded. She had to relog. We tried a second time but the result was the same. Finally we took off her bracelet (that contains an open collar script) and she wore an extra HUD relay – and then it worked. But it was already too late to really have fun with it and with her as my panties. Now I can’t turn her into my panties really surprisingly anymore but she agreed that it could be great fun, so it is just postponed.
We decided to have a round of Skipee to wind down. slave drone Flo II came inworld just in time to join the game (Angelique won). And that’s it for Saturday for the diary.

Sunday, March 18th, became a very varied day in Second Life for me. In the afternoon I went simploring (to be published tomorrow). At night I took control of my property, my wife, my Mistress and Mine, as I already hinted at the end of yesterday’s diary entry. It has been quite a while that I was in control, actually more than 2 months. Accordingly I enjoyed already the moment taking her keys and locking a vixen collar around Jenny’s neck.

March 18th: Jenny and Diomita with the two slave drones admiring slave drone Flo’s new board “Maurer’s Fetisch family”

The two drones were inworld and we went seeing them. Flo created a new board, that she put at the entrance of our home: “Maurer’s fetish family”. The board and some flowers, that she put also at the entrance of our house, were her present for Jenny’s upcoming 10th rezzday anniversary the next day.
We took the two slave drones to The Secret House and spent some time there chatting amoung us and we met Argi there. As it was quite full and laggy we stayed only half an hour and then went back home again for a round of Skipee with drone slave Flo. After playing cards and after slave drone Flo went to bed, it was time to enjoy control of my property.
I took her to DHB, store for fetish clothes and gear, that has become quite popular lately (Angelique’s chastity belt is from there). There I bought a straight jacket for Jenny. And after fitting it and locking it I took her out to Domme a Domme and to club DeLust to proudly expose my owned Mistress, my property, Mine. Just the right thing to do on the night before her 10th rezzday anniversary. Times may have changed but I won’t give up my claim owning Jenny, my wife and property.

March 18th: Jenny and Diomita with the slave drones at The Secret House (Argi is sitting in the background) (left) / Diomita with her very owned Mistress Jenny at Domme a Domme (middle) and at club DeLust (right)

We finished the night, the weekend, and the 10 years of Jenny being in Second Life with pure togetherness as a couple at our skybox – and I looked forward delivering the rezzday spanks to her the next day *winks*.

Ebbe and Oz talk Second Life in the cloud

Second Life moving into a cloud? I first thought, that will not change a thing for me as a user. But it does in several ways. First of all, Linden Lab will be able to turn fix costs into variable costs. That might help them to increase earnings and hence helps to keep Second Life running. Good News!
But there’s more that might change by the move. Nowadays Linden Lab’s revenues mostly depend on land tiers and as land is quite expensive it limits growth – revenues are more likely decreasing today. The move into a cloud might offer new pricing models based on usage, something that doesn’t frighten most users off as much as regular recurring payments do.
Right now the move into a cloud is decided but there’s no fixed date for it yet. The plans about a new pricing model aren’t yet fixed either, there’re just some ideas out so far.
Inara Pey’s blog post gives us some insight of what to expect. I look forward to the change and I hope it will be a smooth move with only little unavailability of Second Life.

Inara Pey's avatarInara Pey: Living in a Modemworld

It’s a huge effort. Right now the Second Life grid is a proprietary set-up in a hosting facility that we have customised for the purposes of what we’re doing – which made sense a decade and half ago. But these days, with the services from Google and Amazon and Microsoft with cloud infrastructures, it makes a lot of sense to shift our technologies to be on top of those cloud infrastructures instead of having our own.

Ebbe Altberg, VWPBE, March 15th, 2018.

That the Lab is working on moving Second Life to the cloud is becoming more and more widely known. First mentioned by Landon Linden (aka, Landon McDowell, the Lab’s Chief Product Officer) during his SL14B Meet the Lindens session, it was “officially” announced in August 2017 via a blog post.
