Some Changes

Around the US holiday weekend of July 4th we had some bad days in SL suffering of heavy lag and tp ond login problems. Our friend and neighbour Claven who ran a prison on 1/4 of our homestead had a lot of problems these days and it was the last straw. She moved out to a full sim. We don’t blame her at all. Claven had concerns about the performance of a homestead before. So we don’t blame her at all but are thankful that she gave it a try. Good luck to you, Claven and we hope that we’ll see her as often as before.
Luckily we found a new neighbour very quick and it is a dear friend: Sarah Fhang. Welcome to our islands, Sarah. We hope that you enjoy this place as much as we do. You’ll find the link to her Sarah’s own blog in the Blogroll section on the right. Sarah is a regular guest at our Firday night parties. She’s from France like Deli, our newest family member (see entry of July 20th). This leads me to some other changes:
Our Eurobrats family has also changed a bit. We released sj as an official sub of ours July 14th, 2011 by offline IM. She hasn’t shown up really since her collaring in April and not at all for the last 7 weeks. We hope that sj is only caught by RL and hope the best for her. She’s always welcome and of course stays a member of our family&friends.
We also had to discontinue Faith Hamer’s trial. Faith didn’t show up since over 5 weeks now, just after starting her trial. Again we do hope that it is only due to RL and that she’s doing well. But we will have to catch up with her and restart her trial some time if she returns. Well then, on the other side, that’s what trials are for.

That’s all for right now. Vacation time just began and I hope that those that I might miss for a few weeks will have a good time, recover and will be back with new energy.
Love from Diomita

A special Friday night at Eurobrats Headquarters

This Friday we had a special night at Eurobrats Headquarters. Tyra had prepared it quite a while ago. We do have a party every Friday at 9 PM GMT / 1 SM SLT. Our friend Virgo plays the music – great music btw. Aand we have a theme every Friday, like ‘Best in Black’, ‘Dommes  and subs’, ‘all in yellow’, ‘Maids’. For this Firday Tyra prepared boxes with different outfits. You had to pick one – and to wear what is in. That was fun and gave reason for lots of banter, laughs and jokes. Jenny picked a duck costume and had a lot to sweat, Tyra picked the iso hood suit, Virgo a pink outift and Delilah a cheerleader costume and … and … Thank you Tyra for this great idea. We look forward to the next ‘Box Party’. Thank you Virgo for the great music. Attached you find some impressions from last night.

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Final Part VIII: The Hotel

The series about Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest so far invited you to a tour on our islands. What we didn’t mention so far is our “Mount Everest”. How can a sim be named Mount Everest and have no mountain? Our mountain is not the highest mountain in SL, nor it is really hard to climb on it. But we have a mountain and I will not describe where it is.
We have 2 skyboxes up in the skies over our headquarter. One is Jenny’s and my retreat, the skybox we got from our family to enjoy our honeymoon and which we kept throughout all storms we experienced in our SL. It is open for the family just by invitation. The other skybox is the Hotel California. You can get there with the Eurobrat Teleporter Network.

The hotel CA has also a long history for us. Originally it was build as a low prim large skybox to provide space for a private prison. It has had 3 floors with high security cells and the rlv-restrictions made it to a place where you can get to but not get out. It had a dungeon area to enjoy the prisoners. Our slaveboy Santana stayed months in the hotel, months where he found his place, months that coined his SL.
“Last thing I remember, I was running for the door / I had to find the passage back to the place I was before / ‘Relax,’ said the night man, we are programmed to receive. / You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave!”
When Goddess moved to Yasminia, we relocated the hotel to a separate floor in big castle which was the centre piece of the first layout of Yasminia. We kept the skybox itself at our place in Rivers Rock but reduced the number of “guest rooms”. We removed a floor and installed a photostudio which provides enough tools for our hobby of taking pictures. You can also mix RL and SL pictures.

There’s still a floor with 2 guest rooms so we do have a lonely place for rebelling subs to find back their position, there’s still a throne and enough space to rezz toys. And there’s still enough room to hide a kidnapee safe and securely. And when I enter the hotel many memories of the hotel and it’s guests come alive.

With this entry the series about Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest ends. Please enjoy your visit or stay on our island. Be sure – we enjoy it! Love from Diomita and Jenny Maurer.

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part VII: The Games

If you turn to your right upon your arrival on our island and walk down the little hill you’ll come to the games area. It’s a joint venture between Virgo & Tyra and us. You’ll find three games: Greedy, Bondzee and En Garde. There’s not much to write about the games. They are popular around SL and can be addictive. Mostly they invite to entertain while chatting. And they give reason for bets. Particular the En Garde as a 2 player game is perfect to have a side bet: “The loser will …”

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part VI: Sub’s Shangri-La

Subs Shangri-La is located on the Southwest beach of our island. We built it as a retreat for our family and subs for them to relax and enjoy each others company.  The name Shangri-La expresses a deep contentedness and balance and also has a mystical touch like all of our SL has. It’s also nowadays another word for paradise.

Our paradise consists of a small hut, a campfire and a Hammock. At the entrance of the hut you’ll find a board with a text about Shangri-La which has been copied and pasted from Wikipedia. The hut itself has just one room which is filled by a multifunctional bed. Above the bed is a slideshow with all subs that have ever worn my collar. Attentive visitors will also find a leash holder to keep someone safe.

On the beach there is a campfire to sit and chitchat and particularly to enjoy the paradise-like atmosphere. You can listen to the roar of the surf or tune in the radio which is set to slow radio. In addition I strongly recommend to set your environment to sunset. One little additional hint – do you like broiling Marshmellows?
Just a little bit above is a Hammock which is large enough for two. Just the right place for a face to face conversation or again to relax on your own.

Please enjoy this little spot of paradise

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part V: Headquarter

Part V describes our headquarters. We asked Delilah Ormidale, who has stayed with us and on the island since we moved here about a month ago, to write about it. And what she wrote doesn’t need any changes.

With its nice terrace and its three rooms, the EuroBrats HeadQuarter house was built strongly enough to survive the Dragon Cove devastation, and remain unchanged and sturdy on its foundations on Mount Everest.

Right after the door is an office, with a desk upon which Miss Diomita can, let’s say, deal with the usual business and the day-to-day matters. On the left is a game area, including a dice game, with special rules specially set by Miss “Evil” Jenny and a Zyngo game which is free-use for the family. There is also a very convenient pull down bed, that may as well be used for some bondage session or even transformed into a little pool to relax by after a good massage: what will they think of next! But the main part of the house is a comfortable lounge with a really comfy sofa for the Mistresses of the place and a large range of entertaining furniture for their slaves, subs and some unfortunate friends passing by (gags attached on the wall by the fireplace, hooks for suspension, shibari device and so on: no need to spoil the surprises by saying all!…). There is even a basket for Kitty. But just as important – at least – in the house other than the numerous BDSM tools, are the various slideshows on the walls showing snapshots of the memories of some of the better moments of the Family history.

In front and near the house are also a few places that deserve to be noticed. Such as the guest area, which includes a few cells with a beautiful view to the sea, and a rack (another one is some steps distant, on the beach) for moments of cheerful enjoyment (which may turn sometimes a bit rough, but, hey… as Miss Diomita could say, “wo gehobelt wird, fallen Späne” ; otherwise told, the place is quite perfect if you want make an omelette).

A few steps south is also a very enjoyable sauna. Who wouldn’t enjoy a good hot and wet time? Just, everybody, please: don’t forget to turn off the steam when leaving it.

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part IV: The Keep

Somewhere in RL is a run down chapel that inspired one of our friends, Danii Szydlowska,  to build a replica of it for SL. There’s a link to her blog under the links section. Danii built it and for a couple of years had no place to build it or to see its glory. So she donated it as a gift as we had made a hillside that needed a centre piece. When we first saw it we had the spontaneous idea to add some toys and a cell inside to keep someone. You can imagine that we do have already someone in mind. Thus the name was born: The Keep.

Danii, being a scripter, began to develop this thought and as an add-on she scripted the chapel for rlv-users. So when rlv-users wear their relay they can have a particular experience inside the chapel as it is dark and foggy inside providing a mysterious atmosphere to the scene. And there might be more restrictions so that visitors do behave appropriate to the place. We will not reveal more now.. go and explore.

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part III: Beach Disco

Friday nights are party nights for the Eurobrats and their family and friends. The weekly party has a long tradition particular in SL terms of time. It has its roots back in 2008 when the Bratz Club was buildt in Rivers Rock. And since 2008 Virgo Babii hosts the Friday night party and she plays the music. After Goddess and her family left Rivers Rock the party survived. Listening to great music and chatting became a regular part of our SL and thus also of our RL Friday nights. And there’s always a different theme for every party. So we prepare for it, we look in our wardrobe to find an according outfit or we go shopping for something that is according in our opinion. And what we choose is also a good starter for the chat and for banters.
When Rivers Rock was closed, the club was lost. But we didn’t want to miss out our fun. So we build a new club, a smaller one in a skybox sphere at Dragon Cove and were able to keep the tradition up. We also created a new group for the invitation as we lost control over the group with the loss of Rivers Rock.
And now? When we moved to Mount Everest the first thing to do was to rebuild the club. In fact we didn’t even miss one Friday! As we have enough space on the island itself now we decided to give up the skybox sphere and to build the new club at the beach. You’ll find it in the West corner of Mount Everest. It’s an open air beach club. What an advantage of SL that we don’t have to care about rain or bad weather at all. When you set your environment in SL to sunset the place has a very particular light. So our parties go on. Thank you Virgo for the music and for hosting. Thank you all for keeping the party alive. It is our start into the weekend SL and RL.

If you want to attend just come by Friday 1 PM (SLT) / 9 PM (GMT). If you want to join our group just click the large board at the club itself. There’s no cost for joining and you’ll get a weekly reminder that it’s time again to dance and the theme of that night. Enjoy!

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part II: Campfire

When you arrive at Eurobrats Headquarter and stand in front of the orientation map and turn to the left you’ll see the campfire down at the beach in the Southwest of Mount Everest. It is easy to locate as the Eurobrat flag waves above it.
The campfire is our meeting place. The place is surrounded by palm trees and the familiar roar of the surf plays like background music while you sit and enjoy.
The campfire is where we chit-chat or have banters. It’s where we relax with friends. There’s a raft in the water by the campfire. When I have a rare moment of quietness I love to lay on it and let my mind wander. And when Jenny comes online and sees me there she joins me. It’s just a raft to lay and enjoy alone or together.

One hint about the flagpole. You’ll get the menu to use is as a dancepole when you click on it’s very base. And isn’t it very much enjoyable to have a sub dancing for you while you sit, chat and enjoy?

Eurobrats Headquarter @ Mount Everest – Part I: Overview

We had a busy time after the loss of our home. But as often seen before it turned out to be a great positive change. I persoanlly had considered buying a homestead several times and as our landlord stepped out of business giving our sim to “Dweeb” we already began to discuss a full sim, a homestead or another quartersim for us and our friends. We talked about performance and limits. A full sim would be great and would have a great performance and be quite lagfree but expensive. And even if we get enough renters or friends to share with us, would it spoil our fun in SL as we’d have to care about renters and about our budget? But renting ourself another 1/4 sim? Will we get into the same darn trouble with another landlord? Would we like to be threatened by being evicted because of nothing again? What about a homestead which is only residential and designed for up to 20 people online at a time? Will the performance be high enough?
Then all went much quicker than we imagined. And facts did accelerate our decision for a homested. In the meanwhile we can say that performance is well enough so far. Rezzing objects is strange as the object doesn’t appear immediately but with an time lag of about 2 to 5 seconds. We also had some bad days with lots of lag and even a total black-out of the whole sim for over 1 hour. But that day was bad in whole SL so it was not related to our sim. Anyway the decision is made. We moved. And now after developing the terrain, after our friends moved in and after a lot of exciting and truly enjoyable and satisfying work … now is the time to write about our new home. It’s time to save the initial layout for our diary. It’s time to present the new Eurobrats Headquarter at Mount Everest.

Our homestead consists of three islands which are connected by bridges. One island (Virgin Islands) belongs to our friends Virgo and Tyra. One islands (The Albatros) belongs to our friend Claven. And one island belongs to the Eurobrats.

The layout of Eurobrat Headquarter Island is shown in the orientation map below. It is the same map that you’ll see upon your arrival on our island. A teleporter system provides quick traveling (by the way a transportation system like this could solve a lot of problems in RL *grins). Or , even better, explore on foot. The main spots to visit are: Campfire, Beach disco, Sub’s Shangri-La, Headquarters, the “Keep”, the games and our Hotel CA (still located in a skybox). You’re invited to explore on your own but be aware of traps.

After this overview we will publish an short entry about each point of interest in the upcoming week(s). So stay tuned.
