A few days ago Fly Kugin (flykugin) messaged me. Fly is an artist who I covered in this blog a few times in 2021 (read here for example). But this time it wasn’t to invite me to an exhibition or a new gallery. Fly messaged me to help promoting an event in Second Life.
The event is intended to raise money for earthquake victims in Turkey. The idea is that art can not only please the soul, but that it can also serve a good cause. The artists will donate their art, they get a stand and can advertise. The visitors can purchase the donated art.
The event will take place from April 13th to April 23rd.

Dear Second Life Content Creators and Residents,
Life for millions across Turkey changed forever on February 6th, 2023 Monday at 04:17 am. and 1:24 pm, as two consecutive earthquakes sent shock waves across hundreds of miles. Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 occurred in Kahramanmaraş.
At the moment – Feb. 24, 2023 – On the 10th day of the search and rescue efforts, the loss of life increased to 43,556 and the number of injured is approximately 115,000.
As content developers and users in Second Life, we do not want to remain indifferent to this situation. The toll is getting heavier every day. It will take a long time for our homeless, propertyless, and displaced people to recover both physically and mentally, and for Turkey to ease this pain. We know that AHBAP, which we trust and closely monitor its activities, is active in carrying out long-term work. Therefore, we are organizing an event in Second Life between 13/04/2023 – 23/04/2023 to support AHBAP and earthquake victims.

Art in Second Life 2023 (15) 2nis at Cloud Galleries

It’s been a while that I visited a gallery or art installation – I wasn’t in the right mood for it. Anyway on Monday, April 3rd, I accepted the invitation, that I got from Owl (Owl Dragonash) and visited an exhibition at Cloud Galleries with pictures of 2nis (2nis Sands). The official opening is today, Tuesday, April 4th at 11 AM (at 10 PM Central Europe Time) with music from Ilyra Chardin.

I have visited the Cloud Galleries end of 2022 and wrote a blogpost about it (read here). The Cloud Galleries is an area above Corsica South Coast. Nine artists have their studio galleries there, a thenth gallery is for a visiting guest artist every 2 months.

2nis (2nis Sands) is the guest artist for April and May (March 23rd – May 26th). The studio of 2nis is not far from the landing point.

Together with the invitation I got a folder that also included a short biography of 2nis and a description of his art:
“My interest for computer graphics pushed me to try Second Life 16 years ago. I quickly got hooked by the magic of virtual reality. Passed the culture shock, I enjoyed so much this space of freedom and tolerance where you can do what you want and discover who you really are. I had the chance to make beautiful friendships and discover talented artists. I enjoy exploring new places and seeing what sim builders do with all the amazing content designers bring into the virtual world. It’s like diving into peoples’ minds. The creativity of Second Life residents is amazing.
I make photos to keep memories of enjoyable moments.”
The text made me smile as if could be from me myself. I take pictures to keep the memories I make in this virtual world for my real life. And the creativity in Second Life excites me even after more than 15 years.

Fitting to what 2nis wrote his pictures show landscapes, impressively created places and also a few pictures from events 2nis attended. He shares a part of his Second Life with the spectator. The pictures are a well selected excerpt of his broad picture collection that is shown also at his flickr account.

Diary 2023 (29) March 27th – 29th Fun at club Domme a Domme

Monday, March 27th, I was playing a skipee with Flo when Angelique came by. She had some time on her hand so Flo and I stopped and we played a skipee with three. It was nice having Angelique around.
After Flo and Angelique had left, slave Holly and slave Alessi showed up. I took both to Carnal Intentions, but not into the club but into a store there – Monsta. April is getting closer and the slaves need a new outfit. We had a choice of four and finally I agreed with myself for a armbinder with hood. I am looking forward how it will look.
After shopping I went to club DeLust with the slaves and stayed there the rest of the night. There was another slave who decorated the stage and I used the opportunity for some pictures.

March 27th: Diomita at club DeLust with slave Holly and slave Alessi

Tuesday, March 29th, I spent again quite some time in-world while I was doing some RL stuff. Nonetheless I had 2 plays, one wiht a domme who I knew and another domme who ended by my feet (yes that still happens).
My night began with 3 rounds of skipee with Flo. As Mistress was a bit locked up by Domina, I went to club DeLust and watched the slient crowd there but the sim was restarted and I had to move on. I went to club Domme a Domme and it turned out to be a lucky decision. I had a great night there. First of all it was full. And there was some main chat going on initiated by Zana Darkthorn. I had watched her acting before. She had some subs at her leash and I thought I could help her. I ended up leashed by her. Baroness Capelo and others had their bright joy at my expense. Although I asked for it, of course, no one came to my aid. I like it when something is going on, this time at my expense. Anyway, I had fun. After Zana was gone, the main chat ebbed off again. slave Holly and slave Alessi came in-world quite simultaneously and I summoned them to me. I sat down in a chair and the two decorated me well. I continued having fun and ordered another guest to me, a young girl wearing hot pants and bra, both way too small for her already small and slim body. Hence I told her to take both off. She was a willing victim, but when I began discussing a nice guest room at our island she disappeared all of a sudden and saved her ass.

Wednesday, March 29th, I had some time of roleplaying. At night I played 3 rounds of skipee with Flo. I had really good cards and I couldn’t prevent winning. I took Flo to club DeLust. slave Holly came inworld and joined us before Flo hat to leave. Nothing more to report in here – just that I continued the roleplay after slave Holly had went to bed.

In the “Backflash” series I select an old entry once a month and present it here. This way I force myself to browse in the archive and to fresh up a few of the many memories. For our readers the series shall provide an insight into my and our Second Life without reading back the many posts and it might also give reason to browse through the archives.
For March 2023 I selected a post from March 2022, just one year ago. It is the first post of a series of 4 diary posts and is about my submission to Mistress Jenny, who passed away in Summer 2022. That still seems like it happened yesterday, yet it is already one year….

Mistress Jenny is back home and we had 90 minutes together in the afternoon, Saturday, February 29th. We caught up with our news at home first. Then Mistress reminded me that she had announced to punish me. I didn’t lock my cuffs and handed the keys out to her the night before when Mistress joined our party, she had to remind me instead I did it not before she reminded me. I was not aware of it, but Mistress also said that I did not address her properly a few times the night before. Be it as it may, Mistress coloured my cuffs in slach pink and I had to wear my blindfold and gag. Then Mistress took me to club Domme a Domme where I spent more than half an hour at her feet. Mistres locked my blindfold, yet did not really blind me. She also coloured my collar in pink, something I don’t like, which is why she did it. It really was a mild punishment, more a little reminder and all I could do is thank Mistress.
We went home to our loft and Mistress allowed me colour the cuffs according to my outfit, the collar stayed coloured pink. Then Mistress pulled her pants down and allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. She knew that I needed it badly and of course it had the desired effect of pushing me further in my submission to Mistress. Thank you, Mistress.

February 26th: Mistress Jenny and Ehesklavin Diomita at home and at club Domme a Domme

When Mistress had to leave to tend to her RL, I logged off myself.

At night, when I returned, Mistress Jenny was playing skipee with Flo. They stopped and we played one roung together. Flo won it with my jokers, she did rig the table very well *winks*.
We took Flo to Carnal Intentions afterwards and slave Melissa joined us there. We stayed at Carnal Intentiones, chatted, teased Vanilla Meili, we caught up with slave Melissa and we just relaxed. After Flo had left for bed, we moved to Heavy Bondage Club for a short while.

We finished our little club tour at club DeLust where we met Baroness Capelo and where slave Alessi joined us for a short while. Then we went off to bed. It was quite a relaxed night.

Sunday, February 27th, I had another intense afternoon with Mistress Jenny. I waited at our skybox at home for Mistress and when she came inworld, she took me to club Domme a Domme to catch up with our news. Mistress Jenny leashed me and I thanked her in main chat. Our mutual news had a lot to do with the current situation in RL – and our SL is now once again our escape into another (peaceful) world. With that we turned our attention to SL again and Mistress told me that I violated her rules. A few days ago, Mistress Jenny had ordered that I may only whisper in main chat while I am leashed by her – and I forgot about it when we entered the club. And Mistress had to punish my failure. She ordered that I got a face mask and that I had to wear it. It felt bad to have disappointed her.
We went to club DeLust next and Mistress Mercy just arrived there as well. I had to kneel between Mistress Jenny and Mistress Mercy and to lick Mistress Mercy’s boots. In addition I had to explain to Mistress Mercy why I was wearing a mask. Mistress Mercy made me ask to be slapped by her in public. It was quite degrading but it was my own fault. Mistress Jenny and Mistress Mercy seem to fit well together – and I will have to work harder to not disppoint Mistress Jenny again.

February 27th: Mistress Jenny and Mistress Mercy with Ehesklavin Diomita at club Domme a Domme and at club DeLust

At night Mistress Jenny and I played a skipee with Flo and slave Holly as teams. Flo had rigged the table perfectly and hence Flo and I won it easily. slave Alessi had joined us at the games table. We stayed at home and went to our sun terrace and chatted there. Flo has hinted that she wanted to wear an armbinder, hence I took the opportunity and set the March outfit to “(h)armless”. Alessi has the same armbinder as Flo.
Alessi had to leave early and we played a round truthball with Flo and slave Holly until Flo had to leave for bed.

We went selecting a fitting armbinder for slave Holly later that night and winded down at club DeLust until Mistress Jenny called it a night.

Diary 2023 (28) March 23rd – 26th Cocktails

I have been lazy since I returned from my vacation. I didn’t visit any gallery or installation although my SL had been quiet. Thursday, March 23rd, I met with Flo and we played one round of skipee, then Flo went off again. She is still recovering from a surgery RL. slave Holly came inworld but she was tired. Hence we just played a round of skipee, then she went off. Finally also Mistress Cherry was busy creating textures.

I decided to continue a roleplay, that I had started after my return from vacation. I am fulfilling my subside in this roleplay being a servant in a big manor. The Mistress there agreed that I may come and go – just when I’m there, I’m under control. I will see if anything longterm will develop. And for right now I won’t reveal more.

Just when I started, slave Alessi came inworld. I told her that I was busy and she understood. and that is it already for Thursday.

Friday, March 24th, we had our regular Friday night party. I picked “Cocktail party” as a theme: “It is Friday once again and we start in our weekend. Today is National Cocktail Day in the UK. Wear your most daring mini skirt or bra or come as you are (even naked) and enjoy some cocktails with us as we dance into the weekend. DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us”
I had fun decorating the dancefloor. slave Holly had agreed to serve cocktails .. and she had very special cocktails like “Pop My Cherry” for me, “Lick My Pussy” for Mistress Cherry or “Bad Bitch” for Ebony. That was fun!

We had fun and the cocktail party was well attended, we had many guests. Once again a great start into the weekend.

Saturday, March 25th, I spent some time in my new roleplay in the afternoon. At night I first met with Mistress Cherry at home and we caught up with news, then I played a round of skipee with Flo, then hopped over sims for a while.
I met again with Mistress and we went to club Domme a Domme and cuddles for a while while watching the (silent) crowd. slave Alessi came inworld just when I was about to leave early, as the night was short for me due to time change in Europe. I summoend her to us for a few minutes, then I logged off before midnight.

Sunday, March 26th, I spent again time roleplaying and I chatted quite a bit with Mistress Cherry. My night began as usual playing skipee with Flo. She lasted quite long and we played 3 rounds, then I took her with me to Carnal Intentions. slave Holly came inworld soon after and I summoned her to us. We spent an hour at Carnal … outside of the club as most people stay outside there in the meanwhile.

Diary 2023 (27) March 20th-22nd Quiet days

Monday, March 20th, I had a quiet night. I played one round of skipee with Flo, then I roamed through the clubs, hopping from one place to the other. beside some chats, nothing happened and I made no pictures at all.
Tuesday night I was alone first and played 2 rounds skipee against myself. Angelique came by and we had a nice chat. Later slave Holly and slave Alessi were inworld. I took them to Carnal Intentions and had fun playing with their restrictions and restraints while chatting. And by the way, slave Holly had a perfect look on my behind again *winks*

Wednesday, March 22nd, Flo was inworld when I came online at night. I had three rounds of skipee with her and was the lucky one winning. It were close games though. Ebony came by to say hello and to catch up with us. The moment Flo left for bed slave Holly came inworld. That night I took her to club DeLust and we chatted a lot. Amoung other things we discussed the theme for the next Friday night party. slave Holly was about to leave when slave Alessi came inworld. I had the two slaves together at club DeLust for a short time, then I took slave Holly back home and went to Carnal Intentions with slave Alessi. There was really nothing going on at Carnal and hence we went back to club DeLust until it was time for my bed too.

Diary 2023 (26) March 5th-19th Time out

I was off for two weeks and hence there’s not much to report for the diary. slave Holly hosted the Friday night party for me on March 10th and she sent a few pictures.

I admit that it made me smile to see slave Holly dancing on the table … if the cat is away the mice dance on the table *winks*

I returned in-world for our Friday night party on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day and of course most of us dressed in green, except one slave who couldn’t change. It was fun to be back and to start the weekend with a party as usual.

Sunday, March 19th, I met with Flo and slave Alessi at night and we played a skipee together. Angelique came by to chat a bit with us. After the game Flo went to bed and I took slave Holly, who had also arrived while we played, and slave Alessi to club DeLust for the rest of the night. I enjoyed teasing and restricting the slaves and we chatted. I had a relaxed night. slave Holly controubuted a few ot the pictures with her restricted view.

Diary 2023 (25) March 3rd-5th Blue and Pink

For Friday, March 3rd, I picked an easy theme. I was lucky as several days fitting to set a theme were listed for March 3rd. So I could even offer alternatives:
“It’s Friday once again, we celebrate the upcoming weekend. This Friday is “Dress in Blue Day” (First Friday in March). For those who don’t like blue – today is also Peach Blossom Day. Hence dress in blue or peach colours and join our party. Or come as you are (even naked), let’s party! DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes.”
Although we were a bit less people than usual we had a great start into our weekend and succeeded to make Virgo strip.

Saturday, March 4th, I visited the March exhibition at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery: “Transcend struggle” by Yann GYRO (read here).
Besides the gallery visit I spent some time with Dana Darkwatch, who showed me her new designed place. Later we spent some time at club DeLust. And I chatted with Mistress Cherry, who was still busy working for her store.

At night I roamed around a bit, then returned home and played 2 rounds of skipee alone. slave Holly came inwrld for a shorter visit. We played one round of skipee, a close game, so it was fun.
slave Alessi joined us. After the game slave Holly went off again and I took slave Alessi with me to club deLust where we spent the rest of the night.

March 4th: Diomita at club DeLust with slave Alessi

Sunday, March 5th, I had a skipee with slave Holly again, another close game. slave Alessi joined us and I took the two to Carnal Intentions after the game. At Carnal people more and more meet outside of the club, the club itself was almost empty – outside it was full. When I saw that we could move on to DeLust as there were some free spaces I went there and summoned slave Holly and slave Alessi to me. Unfortunately the teleport didn’t work for slave Holly. There was the phenonemon again, that we experienced already a few times. Although slave Holly was shown as offline in my viewer (and in slave Alessi’s viewer) some message get throught to Holly and some answers too. I returned to Carnal, but slave Holly wasn’t there – and she stayed offline (for me).

March 5th: Diomita at Carnal Intentions and at club DeLust with slave Holly and slave Alessi / Diomita with Mistress Cherry at home

I was in IM with Mistress Cherry and when she went off to bed we met shortly at our skybox to say good night. I returned to club DeLust for a bit before I said good night to slave Alessi myself and went off.

Art in Second Life 2023 (14) “Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO @ Nitroglobus Roof Gallery

Dido Haas invited me to see the March exhibition at her Nitroglobus Roof Gallery: “Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO. The offical opening will take place tonight, March 6th, at 12 PM SLT (9 PM CET).

“Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO (sempiternel) consists of 7 partly very large pictures and several animated 3D objects. Dido Hass wrote in her notecard about “Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO: “Yann’s topic isn’t easy; it deals with illness and death, but also gives sparks of hope for the future. “

Although I’m used to the mirroring floor at the Nitroglobus Roof Gallery, it still impresses me how much it adds to the exhibited art. Yann’s pictures deal with the fight against cancer, they worship the beauty of his mother, they express his love and strong bonds to her – and they express the fight torn between hope and desperation.

Right at the landing point you find a poem by Yann GYRO. The poem is also kind of a description of the installation:

You faced the fear, when you heard the news
But I was here, and I saw you rise and choose
To find your power, and stand tall with grace
And embrace the challenge, with courage in your face

The journey is tough, but I’ll always be near
To guide you with hope, and wipe away your tear
With love and strength, we’ll conquer and transcend
And do what’s needed, to heal and reach the end

The shadow holds a gift, I know it’s true

Impressions of “Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO @ Nitroglobus Roof Gallery (1)

Close to where you land you see a white 3D statue of a woman levitating in the center of the space – and it bursts into pieces. The statue is placed in front of a huge picture, held in red, a scaring picture dealing with cancer. In the back of this wing is another 3 – part picture of cells and in front of it literally rains pills, red, blue, green and white pills. Overall a very touching scenery!

In the other wing you can see the same statue, now not bursting into peices but surrounded by the same pills. Another 3D object, that permanantly rotates, shows parts of the exhibited pictures, also on a bed of pills.

Impressions of “Transcend Struggle” by Yann GYRO @ Nitroglobus Roof Gallery (2)

Accompanying a loved person in their struggle against a deadly illness is an experience that you can’t forget, that you don’t want to forget. As opposed to, it creates a strong bond to the person – beyond death. I personally can sense this bond looking at Yann’s pictures and exhibits. And they are very artful too!

Yann Gyro (sempiternel) is in Second Life since 2018. I first saw his art – very different from what you see in “Transcend Struggle” at Nitroglobus Roof Gallery – at La Maison d’Aneli in May 2021 (read here) and in December 2022 (read here). Yann is a photgrapher and designer. Yann has his own store on the marketplace. He also has a flickr account.

Diary 2023 (24) February 28th – March 2nd Quiet days

Tuesday night, February 28th, was different though it was quiet. Flo and I were alone at home. As Flo was going to be away for one week and I would be off for vacation upon her return, we spent the time together playing cards. I wanted to distract Flo as the reason for her absence is not vacation. We played 3 rounds with different outcome once again.
Flo had just left when slave Holly came inworld comparably late. slave Holly had had a tiring day and was up playing cards. Hence I ended up playing cards all night – and no picture *winks*

Wednesday, March 1st, was a quiet night as well. As Flo was absent, I played a few rounds of skipee alone …. and of course I won. That is the upside of playing alone, though it is just relaxing and not competitive.
I went to club DeLust and watched the silent crowd. When slave Holly came online, I summoned her to me. We caught up with our mutual news and while we were at the club I had a funny short IM with one of the other guests and I shared with slave Holly:

Diomita Maurer: I seem to have some reputation in here…

XX: I mean how you lock them
slave Holly: two word that often get mixed up Mistress – lock and fuck!

Diomita Maurer: now you’re fucked …. you are locked most of the time and rarely get fucked
slave Holly: *grins* like minds Mistress – I was about to say – either way fucked!

slave Holly was tired and intended to go to bed early. It fitted well that slave Alessi came online.

Diomita Maurer: Shall I bring you home and to bed and pick up Alessi there?
slave Holly: yes thank you, Mistress Diomita – see if anyone here notices the difference!

I brought slave Holly home and took slave Alessi to club DeLust …. seems that really none noticed!
slave Alessi: If you only look like for a few moments and not that closely, the switch might really have gone unnoticed. 🙂

On Thursday, March 2nd, I spent a relaxed night at club DeLust first. When Holly came inworld I summoned her to me and we caught up with our mutal news and chatted a bit. Then we reurned home and playe one round of skipee, then we both went to bed early.
