Happy New Year 2023 and some stats and findings about this blog (2022 in review)

2022 has been another challenging year for all of us. This time it wasn’t just the darn virus, it was even more the Russian Agression and the following war in Ukraine, the scarcity of energy, disturbed supply chains and a skyrocketing inflation that made it not the best year in RL for many of us.

In SL all was fine, it was Jenny’s and my heavently escape from RL, the world how we would bake it, if we could. But there is no SL without RL. In July my wife, owner, slave, Mistress, my beloved partner in SL, Jenny, passed away unexpectedly. From one day to the other my SL was not the same anymore! I considered to leave SL and to stop writing as Jenny wasn’t around me anymore. My family and friends in SL helped a lot to keep me inworld, and even to continue blogging. But the easiness had gone. I changed the name of the blog, and stopped blogging daily, yet I continued the diary and I still post new entries regularly, just not every day anymore.
There are several posts about this dark time in SL. I want to point to two posts that were hard to write. One is a tribute to Mistress Jenny (read “A tribute to Jenny Maurer“) published September 3rd, 2022. The other is about the changes in this blog (read “Upcoming changes in this blog“), published September 4th, 2022.

On a lighter note, I got closer to cherry (Elenaslv Serenity) end of November 2022 and within a few days I fully submitted to her. She does not replace Jenny, she’s way to different for that, and none can ever replace her! But a new chapter, a new journey started for me and for Mistress Cherry.

In 2022 there about 160 diary entries, over 100 posts about art in Second Life and 21 simploring reports. Over all the blog grew by 333 new posts bringing the total archive of this blog to over 2,900 (!) posts.
As taking pictures is one of my passions in SL and storage space here is not free, I group my pictures to save space. When you click the pictures you can see them a bit larger. I also post the pictures on deviant art (Diomita Maurer at Deviant art). For my simploring tours I have a flickr account where I publish pictures from these tours in full size. As there’s a picture limit of 1,000 for a free acount, you find there only the pictures of the last about 30 simploring tours. There you get the pictures in a higher resolution. In total I took more than 12,000 pictures in 2022.

In 2022 the number of visitors of the blog remained at close to 15,000 people. Also the number of clicks was quite stable with 46,000 compared to 45,000 in 2021. Most clicks came from the Germany (11,100), US (8,100) and the UK (4,100). The number of followers was quite unchanged as well with 245 compared to 240 in 2021. The statistics show that in total people from over 130 (!) countries visited our blog. Many thanks to all friends, readers and followers.
Most found our blog coming from search engines (14.200) and from deviantart (1,400). Again not only the new blog entries attracted readers, there’re also some “evergreens”. The Top 6 Posts in 2022 were:

This blog contains a lot of memories for me and for the people close to me in Second Life. It started as a little diary to keep up with all the things happening around Jenny and me in Second Life and has grown with time. In the meanwhile I read back myself often to look up a date or to check if I came across a place already before. I introduced a new series in 2019, the “Backflash of the month”. In the “Backflash” series I select an old entry once a month and present it here. This way I force myself to browse in the archive and to fresh up a few of the many memories. For our readers this series shall provide an insight into our Second Life without reading back the many posts and it might also give reason to browse through the archives. After Jenny’s death I missed picking a “Backflash of the month” post every month. I intend to improve and to pick one every month in 2023.

I still have fun writing and it’s my intention to continue the blog, but I might blog less as I have planned some journeys in 2023. Hence I will blog, when I find the time for it and when I am in the mood for it. I personally think that we spend a lot our free time in real life in this virtual world. It makes sense to keep the memories like you do in real life. The memories are real and they stay vivid and present this way.

Diary 2022 (159) December 28th/29th Between the years

When I came inworld Wednesday night, December 28th, Flo was already playing skipee. I talked in IM with Mistress Cherry and Angelique and then went to Flo. Angelique joined Flo and me at the skipee table and after we had caught up with our news Angelique, Flo and I had a nice game of skipee. I took Angelique and Flo to club DeLust. We tried hard to initiate any main chat, but failed as usual. But we had fun. slave Alessi joined us too.
I was still in IM with Mistress Cherry and later Domina Ansar showed up with sapphire (littleshy97) and Mistress Cherry at her leash. Quite weired considering the connections: Domina with Mistress Cherry at her leash, Mistress Cherry’s property Diomita with her subs at her leash.

December 28th at club DeLust: Diomita, Angelique, Flo and slave Alessi / Domina Ansar with sapphire and Mistress Cherry

When Flo and Angelique went off to bed, I stayed at club DeLust with slave Alessi and I began to tease her, mainly in private chat but also a bit in main chat. I restricted her more and more, step by step. I had fun and nejoyed my control – and slave Alessi enjoyed my attention and her helplessness. Later I went to Carnal Intentions with slave Alessi and I put her into the small cage there. I left her alone for a few minutes safely stored there when I had to return home to say good night to Mistress Cherry. Back at Carnal Intentions I continued teasing slave Alessi. It was way over my bedtime, but I had fun.

Thursday, December 29th, I was inworld in the afternoon. slave Holly was present. She had returned from her Christmas family trip and was online to say hello before leaving for the year-end weekend. I had half an hour with her at club DeLust and we caught up with our mutual news.

At night I met with Mistress Cherry for a kiss, then I joined Flo at the skipee table. We played two rounds. After the game I went to club DeLust with her and we watched the silent crowd while chatting amoung us. slave Alessi joined us just before Flo went off to bed. I had selected a hood to complete the slave outfit for the January slave outfit and slave Alsssi was the first to try it on. I had fun teasing slave Alessi and trying out the hood. Later I went to Psi’s realm with her.

Diary 2022 (158) December 22nd – 27th Holidays

Around Christmas I wasn’t inworld regularly. RL had to be first these days. I was online Thursday night, December 22nd and played skipee with Flo and we visited club DeLust for a bit. I was also inworld on Holy Eve, December 24th, late at night and met with Mistress Cherry. I got a Christmas present from her, an harness outfit. Thank you, Mistress.

On Christmas I went inworld in the later evening and Mistress had another present for me. She allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. We spent quite some time together cuddling and talking.

And finally on Thuseday, December 27th, I was online late at night again and could meet with Mistress Cherry for an hour before we both had to go to bed. Again we just enjoyed togetherness, chatting and cuddling.

Diary 2022 (157) December 19th/20th In the run up to Christmas

Monday, December 19th, my night started with 2 hours of togetherness with Mistress Cherry. we caught up with mutual news at our skybox, then Mistress Cherry took me to club DeLust. We talked and chatted the whole time. Mistress is taking more and more control. I can feel Mistress’ love and that makes me a bit careless. At one point, Mistress asked me who did forget to address her properly …
Being in Christmas mood Mistress picked a mild punishment. I would have to wear a pink dress the next day unless I am with my slaves. To make sure it at Mistress’ liking, she even bought the dress for me on the marketplace.
I was shocked about myself and I could only blame myself. Mistress enjoyed her power and control and continued teasing me, telling me what will happen if I fail again and what other things she has on stock for me. I should know better than being inattentive again.

December 19th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at home and at club DeLust

slave Alessi had come inworld in the meanwhile. She waited at home for me. slave Holly was still sick and Flo wasn’t inworld as well. We returned home and I went seeing slave Alessi. I first had a dance with her in the Christmas gazebo. Then I took her to Carnal Intentions where I restrained and restricted her quite tight and began to tease her publicly. I wanted to avoid that she was too much embarrassed and hence We returned home after one hour.
It was Mistress’ bedtime and I left my restricted slave at the house to say good night to Mistress. When I returned, I rezzed a new rack und fisxed slave Alessi on it and continued teasing her. Too bad, she didn’t get her full Christmas present as she was too tired for it and hence we had to stop.

Before I logged off that night, I changed into the pink dress which Mistress had gifted to me. I only blame myself … yet the dress doesn’t look bad except that it is pink.

Tuesday, December 20th, I could only chat in IM with Mistress Cherry as she was with Domina Ansar. In addition she wasn’t feeling well and hence left early to go to bed.
Flo came inworld a bit later and I was talking with her at the skipee table when slave Holly came inworld as well. Holly is still sick and jsut came inworld to see Flo and me. We talked a bit, then she logged off again.
slave Alessi was in the house where she had done the cleaning. She joined us and we played one round of skipee. It was a long game and it was way over flotime when we finished. Bedtime for all of us.

Diary 2022 (156) December 17th/18th A quiet season weekend

Saturday, December 17th, I met with Mistress in the later morning. We first caught up with our news, then Mistress and I spent some time together at club DeLust before we both had to tend to our RL again.
We met again after lunch and had more than 2 hours together. Mistress began to tease me and rezzed several BDSM furnitures. The first was a large display box, where I was hung spread-eagled with a dildo pole inside of me. The whole cross could be silded into a box – living art! I thought oh my god, what does Mistress have in mind? Will I be stored like this? Luckily Mistress is not a big fan of storing people – but she laves to tease me. The next piece was a display chest where I was fixed and the whole upper plate could be lowered and the chest could be locked. Again Mistress teased me and asked what I would prefer – the dildo display or the chest. … Mistress continued with a human chair furniture on which I was the back rest for her. Mistress didn’t like it that much as I wasn’t able to kiss and please her locked in this device.
Finally Mistress rezzed a throne in which I was locked with my feet up in the armrests. Mistress tickled me and she teased my face with her feet. The tickling was evil! real torture and no marks.

December 17th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at club DeLust and at home

I was already willing to do anything for Mistress and quite unsure what would come next of what further meaniness she’d had on stock. But Mistress led me to the bed and we had pure sex licking each other – and having an orgasm both. Thank you, Mistress Cherry.

At night Mistress and I first chatted at CM before Mistress took me to Carnal Intentions where we continued talking. We moved on to club Domme a Domme where I decorated Mistress and we talked a lot getting known to each other more and more. Finally we wento to club DeLust. In total Mistress and I had more than 4 hours together, just talking and being close to eachother. I enjoyed Mistress’ nearness. That night certainly added to submission and strengthened it.

Sunday, December 18th, I was inworld and visited Calas Galadhon’s “A Christmas Wish 2022” (read here). I admit I felt a bit sad visiting this Christmas installation without Jenny. It was one of the many Christmas rituals we had in Second Life. I had changed into something “Christmassy” and kept wearing this outfit at night.
Mistress Cherry was not online. She can’t really handle if people close to her are fighting, it disturbs her mood and hence she had decided to stay off for that Sunday. slave Holly had left a message, that she’s sick RL. Good recovery, Holly! And as Flo wasn’t inworld as well, I roamed a bit around, visited DeLust, Domme a Domme and Psi’s realm.

Flo came inworld later and we played two rounds of skipee. As I had an early start the next day, I went off to bed with Flo at flotime. By the way she went in her bed and I went in mine *winks*

Simploring 2022 (21) A Christmas Wish 2022

The Christmas season 2022 in Second Life is very different for me. It is the first season I spend without my beloved wife Jenny, who passed away unexpectedly in Summer. I try to keep the rituals and to make the most of it.

One thing, Jenny and I did every year was visiting the Calas Galadhon holiday installation. We always did the sleigh tour and the ballon tour, cuddling together, listening to Christmas music, being together and enjoying. I visited this year’s holiday installation on Sunday, December 18th, and it is beautiful, packed with activities, just wonderful. My impression is that it become more and more perfect every year.

Diary 2022 (155) December 15th/16th Deck the halls with boughs of Holly

Thursday afternoon, December 15th, I had some time on my hand and visited two exhibitions (and wrote two blog entries). Mistress had punished me a little bit for my brattiness. That day I wasn’t allowed wearing shoes and no fetish clothes until I met with my slaves and subs at home. Of course I obeyed, though I didn’t like it. Mistress seems to have found another weak point of mine very easily.
At night we had the opportunity to meet for an hour of togetherness at our skybox. I was still wearing no shoes and no fetish clothes. As opposed to Mistress looked stunning as always. And she came up with another new rule. She gifted some heel only shoes to me and I am to wear them or to be barefoot, when we are alone. Mistress Cherry makes sure that I feel her control and power permanently. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time with Mistress.

December 15th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at home

slave Flo was inworld and playing skipee alone. I joined her at the table. slave Holly had come online right in time so that we could play one round with three. That was relaxing as it should be. I took slave Holly and Flo to club DeLust after the game and I had a comfortable seat there (slave Holly). When Flo left us for bed I returned home with slave Holly. Her fix was more than overdue and I needed to pee. Peeing into my slave’s mouth is following a strict ritual and I enjoy it as much as slave Holly does need and enjoy it. When I was done, I leashed slave Holly at the house and went to our skybox to say good night to Mistress.

Later I took slave Holly to Carnal Intentions for some “focus time” and we chatted a bit in private.

Friday, December 16th, we had our party again. slave Holly proposed to have a somewhat early Christmas party as she herself and I wouldn’t be able to attned the party the next Friday. “It’s Friday again, time for our party and Christmas is coming closer. It’s not to late to get the Christmas Decorations up ‘Deck the halls with boughs of Holly’ – wear something festive! Or come as you are (even naked). DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.“

Art in Second Life 2022 (104) La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023

Aneli Abeyante invited me to see the new exhibition at La Maison d’Aneli. The opening event took place, Wednesday, December 14th. The exhibition features the art from Traci Ultsch, Yann Gyro (sempiternel),  ZackHerrMann, Thanos Runner and onceagain (Manoji Yachvili).

I started my visit with Traci Ultsch. Traci’s skybox at La Maison d’Aneli deal with the theme written in big letters on one wall: “As above so below”. Abstract forms, that remind me of the planet earth mirror in the floor, but the mirror image is not the same. It contains clouds and trees and other forms and invite the spectator to explore more deeply. As far as I gathered the skybox was also the place for the opening event.

La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 – Traci Ultsch

I didn’t come across Traci Ultsch so far. Traci is in Second Life since 2017 and I couldn’t find out much about her or him- Traci wrote in the accompanying notecard: “Traci is a rubbish artist who can not write a bio… also their music is bad…you can add that traci died in 2010 and is now run by Google Images… “fine i dont care” haha..“. You can see more of Traci on a flickr page.

Yann Gyro (sempiternel) is in Second Life since 2018. He is a photgrapher and designer. Yann has his own store on the marketplace. He also has a flickr account.
At his skybox at La Maison d’Aneli Yann allows us to have a look into his head. It’s a bit of a mess but that is how he creates. He doesn’t think, he creates!

La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 – Yann Gyro (sempiternel)

ZackHerrMann is a French psychedelik artist from the French Riviera. He’s in Second Life since 2012. He writes about his work:
“French artist, kind of an alien from the unidentified dimension! He draws wither by hand or by digital toos or both. He has been a nightlife creature, a cyber punk LGBT glam cosmic one. He likes to create sounds and bizarre music that he uses for many projects. He is the creature of a fictive heroin called Linda Cluster. He works a lot usings the Second Lide Metavers, he loves concets, he is THE concept!“

La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 – ZackHerrMann

ZackHerrMann’s art is quite unique. It is mostly in strong colours. Zack uses light effects and his installation is steadily changing. You can almost hear music, even when it is not turned on. Figures are dancing, everything looks full and rich. At La Maison d’Aneli his skybox is once again an own world to get lost in. 
ZackHerrMann has a little museum in Second Life – Zack Herr Mann Universum. You can also see more of his art at his flickr page.

Thanos Runner is in Second Life since 2009. He writes about himself: “I am a multiple artist, I practice in various disciplines, but drawing is above all my favorite discipline, because everything starts from drawing. It’s the idea, it’s the mood, it’s the choice, and all artistic work begins with a drawing. I draw for several reasons first of all I like drawing whatever it is, for me it is approach to the gift of self, and a visual communication, sensitivity, character, and sentimental of the individual provided that he is sincere.”  

La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 – Thanos Runner

His skybox at La Maison d’Aneli is a room in form of a sphere where his pictures are displayed in groups: “There are various drawings of the human body in all their sensibilities, and it is multiple, we are all unique and beautiful, and I try to bring out this through my works. There are very personal compositions and hence various portaits are also part of this exhibition.“

onceagain (Manoji Yachvili) ist in Second Life since 2007. Manoji is Italian and lives and works in Tuscany, Italy. Manoji’s skybox at La Maison d’Aneli is dedicated to the Apuan Alps.
The Apuan Alps, also known as Alpi Apuane, is a mountain range located in Tuscany, Italy. The mountains are lined with the beautiful white Carrara marble. The light colored stone gives the mountain range a look as though they are covered in snow year round. The Carrara marble remains to be one of the more popular choices among building plans, interior decor, and sculptures.
Due to modern technology, the large-scale extractions of marble from the quarries of the Apuan Alps mountains are inflicting the worst environmental disaster in Europe, and are changing the face of these mountains.

La Maison d’Aneli Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 – onceagain (Manoji Yachvili)

La Maison d’Aneli is owned by Aneli Abeyante. Through her gallery she brought together all forms of creativity in RL and SL and the featured artists come from around the globe. Aneli’s intention was to “put her gallery in the service of artists, so that the world can be better, exchanges and meetings probably contribute even though it seems to be particles.”

This is the last exhibition of La Maison d’Aneli and will stay open until January 2023. More than 12 years Aneli has curated her La Maison d’Aneli with an exhibition almost every month. Thank you very much for your work dedicated to the arts in Second Life. As always I enjoyed my (last) visit and I saw another great joined exhibtion, Aneli.

Mistress Cherry

I thought it’s about time that I write something about Mistress Cherry (Elenaslv Serenity). I know Cherry since March 2021. At that time she had picked the display name Elena for herself. She had applied for our keyholding service.

At that time I wrote in the diary (read Diary 2021 (38) March 23rd/24th Key Holding service reloaded):
The applicant for our keyholding service was ready to be locked and I summoned her to Psi’s realm. Mistress Jenny demanded that she added our script so that we both have access to her restraints. She, Elena (Elenaslv Serenity), did that immediately. After Flo had left for bed, Mistress took Elena and me to a public but silent place and we further dicussed the conditions. Mistress Jenny was way softer than I intended to be, but….she’s in control *winks*.
After Mistress had set all conditions, we showed Elena our home shortly, then she went off.

March 23rd, 2021: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with Elena

From that day on, Elena stayed in touch with Mistress Jenny and me and she became a regular sub of ours for a couple of months. I learned about her passion for pink and for extraordinairy daring outfits showing a lot of skin. Elena also likes very high heels and prefers having a voluptous and curvy body. Elena is from Italy and hence our time zones fitted. She is making textures for sailing boats and boats and runs a shop together with Ali Vultee. I remember days and nights were she was working for the shop and was fighting with technical problems. We couldn’t leave her locked nor deny IM for longer times as she had to deal with customers. But when she was with Mistress and me, she was always a good girl, always up for new gear, new restraints and willing to try out new features.

Elena aka. Cherry (Elenaslv Serenity) March – October 2021

In October 2021 Elena became Domina Ansar’s sub/slave. And since then she wears the display name Cherry. Domina Ansar and Cherry became regular guests at our Friday night parties.
Cherry stayed in close contact with Mistress Jenny and also with me. Every day she used to say hello to Mistress Jenny and me in IM and she said good night when she left for bed. I think that Cherry talked way more with Mistress Jenny than with me though.

Cherry continued staying in touch with me even after Jenny’s unexpected death. She made a special texture edition for a boat and named it “Jenny and Diomita together forever” and we talked a lot about it. And Cherry continued saying hello and good night…. until November 25th, 2022. We had our Friday night party that night and while dancing Cherry and I chatted. Cherry and I talked about everything, about our SL, what it means for us. Cherry is a very emotional being, always caring, always worrying about others and she is this way in RL too. Then we talked about creppes and Cherry described in detail how her dad makes them for her, what ingredients he uses and she succeeded to make my mouth water. I could almost taste them and she grined evily. One word let to the other and I learned about Cherry’s well hidden domme side. Later she told me that I opened the Pandora’s box. I really did!
We continued talking and when the party was over we retreated to my hidden place. We stayed in-world until 3 AM … and by that time I had submitted to Mistress Cherry. It was a quick, fully unexpected, spontaneous but complete takeover of control!

November 26th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita

That weekend, November 26th/27th, we spent a lot of time together, we talked and I could taste Mistress’ sweet and very addicitve poison several times. Mistress immediately found my weaknesses .. and now I am fully addicted to her juices and to her.
We intended to keep our relation secret, so that Cherry could continue her acitivies in SL as before and so that I could continue leading my family. But then we both didn’t like to hide and we decided that it makes no sense to keep it secret. Hence Cherry asked Domina Ansar for her permission to have me as her collared slave. And I talked with Angelique, slave Holly, Flo, Kitty and Alessi. It turned out not to be a big issue. All just want us to be happy together. And so we made in publicly known at the next Friday night party on December 2nd.

December 3rd: Mistress Cherry with Diomita at home

Mistress Cherry is not a replacement for Jenny. None can ever replace her or take her place. She is very different, starting with her appearance and her way to dress. Mistress is sadistic – Jenny was not. She has other kinks and another way to handle what is hers. And she didn’t have a slow, many year long, process of taking control over me. As opposed to it hit both of us all of a sudden and I submitted to her within a few hours.
Mistress Cherry is very caring. Her main goal is to make me happy in my new role. I for my part think, that is my assignment to make her happy. Well we have a common goal in this point *winks*. Cherry is very emotional and tries not to upset anyone. She avoids any fight. Jenny was very caring as well, but in a different way and she could be quite harsh if needed. What both have in common is their possessiveness. Mistress made it crystal clear to me that I am hers now. She will punish any attempt to run away. Not that I want to run away but her clear statement made me shiver. And I had thought of her as a sub and never noticed anything else! Times have changed for me once again.
I tried to negotiate with Mistress Cherry to get green lights where I can dominate her like at the time we met first. Mistress did not exclude it for all times but she won’t allow it in a near future *sighs*

December 13th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at home

It might sound complex: Domina Ansar owns Cherry … Cherry owns me … I own Kitty, Flo and Holly. But Cherry doesn’t own Flo and Domina doesn’t own me. Nonetheless the chain of command indicates something else. But in Second Life this is possible and why shouldn’t we live it out then?
We will see how things develop from now on. Mistress Cherry and I started a new chapter in our SL and we look forward to our journey together. Thank you, Mistress Cherry, my love.
