Art in Second Life 2022 (98) Ode to snowmen by CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo)

I got an invitation from CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo) to visit her newest exhibition at NovaOwl – Sky Gallery named “Ode to snowmen”. The exhibition opened December 1st and will stay open until December 31st.

CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo) is in Second Life since 2008. CK is a SL photographer and watercolour artist. She has done several exhibitons and installations, alone as well as in collaboration with others. I came across her in March the last time, when she participated at an exhibition at La Maison d’Aneli (read here)

As the title implies, the exhibition is about snowmen – how fitting to this time of the year. CK wrote about the exhibition:
“I like themes. I like to dress up for them and I like to take pictures around a theme as well.
Winters in SL bring out those beautiful snow men. So many different ones and so beautifully placed around the SL grid. Winter, and in particular Snowmen, have been the inspiration for this exhibition.
Watercolours have been used to provide an immersive environment, one of my trademarks, as well as adding to the art.
There are 3D and 2D snowmen, pictures of snowmen around SL and watercolour landscapes.“

The NovaOwl – Sky Gallery is a squared building with two floors. CK has quite some different snowmen on display on the ground level. The pictures of snowmen in their beautiful Winter environment are displayed on the walls. And as it should be there’s quite some trees.

Stairs lead to the second floor, that is used also for events. It has a transparent floor, hence from the ground level if looks like a gallery. CK has larger, watercolour pictures with the theme “Winter” up here.
Some of her pictures are just beautiful. But at “Ode to snowmen” all pictures just give the right environment for celebrating the snowmen. You find a lot of stylised snowmen, 3D snowmen, and snowmen painted by children spread almost everywhere. CK did this exhibition certainly with a big smile in her face. I enjoyed it. And I do have a snowmen at our home in SL as well. As opposed to RL, the snowmen in SL don’t melt and look perfect all season long by the way *winks*

CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo) has an own place, CK’s Corner, where she has surrounded herself with all the memories of her roleplayer and artist’s life. It is open to the public to explore. A gallery, odes to art installations and roleplay sims, a butterfly conservatory, and a few other interesting and sometimes changing areas, are all accessed from there (walking distance or teleporters).
She also has a store on the marketplace named CKB Art, a flickr page and an own blog.

The NovaOwl – Sky Gallery is in the skies above the NovaOwl Gallery, which is owned by Uli Jansma. Owl (Owl Dragonash) is the general manager. NovaOwl is an international community on the mainland continent of Corsica. NovaOwl is located on Novatron. It is a meeting place where events take place regularly. Thank you Uli and Owl for providing the space for the art and for enabling this exhibition. I enjoyed my visit.
The exhibition shall be opened until December 31st, 2022.

Diary 2022 (149) December 3rd/4th An exciting weekend (for me)

Saturday, December 3rd, I went to Nitroglobus Roof Gallery and saw the exhibition “Junction Points” by Selen which was going to open on Monday, December 5th (read here). In the afternoon I met with Mistress Cherry at home. I am still overwhelmed by her and eager to please her. I had added first pictures of her and me at our “Chez Maurer” skybox. Mistress took me out to Carnal Intentions and exposed me there. It was the first time that I was at Mistress’ feet in public – and I was happy to make her proud of me. And by the way I had a perfect view on her behind *winks*.

December 3rd: Mistress Cherry with Diomita at home and at Carnal Intentions

After Mistress had left to tend to her RL I went visiting another exhibition before I logged off myself. I had a productive day *winks*
When I returned at night, I began to move some pictures of Jenny and me to the annex to make room for new pictures of Mistress Cherry and me. I desire that she feels at home, that she feels it is her place. I was still wokring on that, when Mistress returned. We had some time of togetherness and Mistress granted me another fix. She clearly knows about my weakness and addiction now and she is going to take advantage of it. I won’t hide, that I love it … and her.

December 3rd: Mistress Cherry with Diomita at home

Mistress had to do some SL work and slave Flo had come inworld and was playing skipee for over an hour. So Mistress went working and I had a round of skipee with Flo. Flo needed a break, maybe because I won? Anyway, she left and Alessi came inworld. I took slave Alessi to club DeLust. And when Flo returned I summoned her to us. I stayed at club DeLust with slave Alessi after Flo had went off to bed and I played a bit with her.

Before bed I met with Mistress in our skybox to say good night to her. I was not enough focuse and failed addressing Mistress correctly *sighs*. Mistress decided to punish me. I will have to wear a bimbo dress for 2 days … luckily Mistress agreed that I don’t have to wear it at night.

Sunday, December 4th, I met Mistress in the later morning. I had bought a bimbo dress and was wearing it when Mistress came in-world. We stayed at while at home, then Mistress locked my cuffs, gagged me and leashed me. She was considering to take me out and to expose me, then she decided spontaneously to show me her private playroom. I admit that I didn’t expect such a huge space with different rooms for different kind a plays. Mistress has so many possibilities to punish me .. and she announced that she will make use of it if I fail to follow her orders. I was shocked about her strictness and strong will yet I love her and had become addicted to her already. Mistress Cherry took full and final control. Then we both had to leave for lunch.

December 4th: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at home and at Mistress Cherry’s playroom

In the afternoon I finished the refurbishing of our skybox. Most pictures of Jenny and me are now in the annex. The annex is seperated with a hidden door now and the walls of our skybox are mostly decorated with pictures of Mistress Cherry and me. I don’t have many pictures of Mistress and me yet, but i can change the pictures as I get more (and better) pictures. I also moved some BDSM furniture and gear from the annex to the main room, so that Mistress will have enough choice to select from, if she desires. The gear in her playroom seem to be way more .. ehm… challenging though. It feels right to have the main part of our skybox decorated to express our relation, my submission to Mistress Cherry.

At night I played two rounds of skipee with Flo and Angelique. Angelique was dressed like a latex nun that night. It was great to have her close to us again. After the game I took Angelique and Flo to Psi’s realm. I know that Miss Domina Ansar had taken control of Mistress Cherry. It was strange for me to see Mistress tied up along with sapphire (littleShy97) but being a switch myself I just felt happy for Mistress, she could relax and enjoy. Later slave Holly joined us at Psi’s realm and I could catch up with her about the weekend. We all went off to bed comparably early.

Art in Second Life 2022 (97) Junction Points by Selen

Today, Monday, December 5th, the exhibition “Junction Points” by Selen (Selen Minotaur) will be opened. It is the December exhibition at the Nitroglobus Roof gallery, owned and curated by Dido Haas.
The opening party will start at 1 PM SLT (9 PM CET) with music by “A Limb & Yadleen”, particles will be contributed by Venus Adored.

The exhibition “Junction Points” by Selen consists of 3 forms of art – pictures, 3D objects and a video, that is shown at one front end.

Selen wrote about “Junction Points”:
“The law of polarity states: “There is an equal and exact opposite to everything. Nothing exists alone. Forces exist as pairs of opposites.”
This quote from Hiram Pagan helps to better understand the universal law of polarity: “Everything can be separated into two completely opposite parts, and each of them contains the power of the other.”

As with the yin/yang symbol: one cannot exist without the other. Each is contained within the other.
We live, in fact, in duality: high-low, left-right, chiaroscuro, good-bad, day-night, healthy-sick, cold-hot, north-south, positron-electron, etc.
Duality teaches us what we prefer to experience and helps us recognize how to change our way of thinking to create that preferred experience in our lives. We know we prefer happiness because we have known sorrow. We love health because we have known sickness.

The challenge, for everyone, is therefore to find the points of junction, those which make it possible to feel “ONE”, in symbiosis and in balance with oneself, with the others and with the universe.
This exhibition is an allegorical and metaphorical visual exploration of the question of junction points.“

Selen’s pictures as well as the 3D-objects reflect that duality, ying and yang, be it the swing or the two figures with the jumping spark. Together with a picture, that consists of several layers and is changing permanently, the video on the front provides a different experience every moment. And the mirroring floor at the Nitroglobus Roof gallery adds to that perfectly.

Close to the landing you find the description by Selen also a board along with a quote by Olga Tokarczuk about the feet being the most important part of the human body:
“I have always thought that the most intimate and personal part of our body was the feet, not the genitals, the heart or even the brain, organs, after all, of little importance and which are overestimated. Wrongly. It is in the feet that all the knowledge of man is concentrated; it is towards the feet that the essence of who we are converges and that our relationship to the earth is established. The contact with the earth, its point of junction with our body, contains all the mystery: although we are made up of particles of matter, we are not part of it, we are separate from it. Feet are our connecting plug.”

It takes a moment to understand the logic. I admit I have never thought of it this way, have you?

Selen’s pictures are colourful, full of fantasy art mixed with abstract elements as well as forming “one” out of two different parts. Very intriguing. All elements combine to a particular experience and a new way of looking at our world and at ourselves.

Selen (Selen Minotaur) is in Second Life since 2008. It is the first time that I came across her. In her biography she writes about her connection to art:
“In the physical world I grew up in France with an architect, painter and sculptor father, maybe that’s why I’ve always loved art in all its forms. I myself tried drawing, painting (watercolor) and sculpture (clay) when I was younger. Later I discovered different platforms of the Metaverse (Second Life being the very first and main one) with endless possibilities to create digitally….. I always like to experiment new things, and creativity and art are definitely my main fuels in SL.”
Nowadays, Selen has an own gallery, an own website, a facebook and an instagram account, a flickr page and an own youtube channel.

Thursday, December 1st, I spent some time chatting with Mistress Cherry. She went off to bed early and I went home and played a skipee with Flo and slave Holly. Then I took the two to Carnal Intentions. Flo is already in her December outfit and working on propositions for the January outfit, she simply loves hoods *winks*. I should consider starting her January 2023 early.
After Flo had went off to bed, I took slave Holly home and helped her changing into her December outfit – a yellow catsuit, keeping her corset. We spent some time at club DeLust, then it was time to go to bed for both of us.

Diary 2022 (148) December 1st/2nd Submitted

Friday night, December 2nd, I was in-world quite early. Mistress Cherry was already online and we caught up with our news in IM. Then she came to our skybox. Mistress demands that I’m naked when we’re alone. I had to lay on the floor and while she pinned me down with her weight, I had to worship her feet with and without her nylon socks.
Mistress Cherry is quite different from Jenny, not just from her appearance. For me it is a journey into a new episode of my SL and hopefully it is for her too. I desire to please her and to make her happy. With time I intend to make the skybox “Chez Maurer” also to Mistress Cherry’s home and to have more pictures of her there. My plan is to use the annex for the pictures of Jenny and me. While I worshipped her feet, we talked and Mistress teased me again and again. At one point I dared to mumble “bitch”. I not only got slapped in my face (with her feet!), Mistress also was about to punish me with wearing a pink bimbo dress for the party later. Luckily for me, she was in a good mood and refrained from this punishment later. But it was close and I know better now. Thank you for being generous, Mistress Cherry!

December 2nd: Mistress Cherry and Diomita at home

The idea for the theme for our Friday night party came from slave Holly, who wasn’t able to attend herself: “It’s Friday and time for our party again. Today is World Abolition of Slavery Day. Hence make sure that your slaves can’t run away, dress strict and put them into restrictive outfits … or come as you are (even naked). Let’s have fun. DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes.“

At the party, I made publicly known that I had submitted to Mistress Cherry. A step which was not easy for me. Baroness Capelo had fun teasing me. And Domina Ansar, Mistress Cherry’s domme, had fun outlining the chain of command.

Art in Second Life 2022 (96) Cyborg Exhibition by Sophie de Saint Phalle

I got an invitation to the visit “Cyborg Exhibition” by Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010), her newest exhibtion built on a seperate sky platform above her own SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Center. The exhibition opened December 1st, I visited just before the offical opening.
The invitation itself was special. The poster, that attached to my HUD, provided not only the basic information and a folder with more information, it also played futuristic, sci-fi tunes.

Impressions of “Cyborg Exhibition” by Sophie de Saint Phalle (1)

You can access the “Cyborg Exhibition” also with a teleporter from the main platform of the SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Center. The exhibition  is a world on it’s own, on a far away planet. The sky is dark and red. There’s a dark stone desert around the center with the exhibition. Sophie’s pictures are shown at rectangular blocks spread over the place. At one side is a stage for the opening event and maybe other events. There’re colour light effects that make the rocks reflect the light in different colours. The whole scenery is not of this world.

Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) provided a background story for “Cyborg Exhibition“:

It is the year 4029. Humanity spans large parts of the galaxy, divided into several star nations. 
Invasions from many alien alliances left devastating damage and destruction of parts of that galaxy. The genetic structure of the human race became more and more unstable. The human body was weakened and highly sophisticated cyborgs had to be developed to help humanity survive.
Children were conceived in artificial uteruses and divided into classes at a young age according to intelligence and physical ability. The physically strong children were transformed into cyborgs and often used as soldiers for intergalactic wars and others worked in the mines.
In the year 3988 a group of 96th generation cyborgs was sent to the planet Nactron-C to mine the super-heavy element, Thoranium, which allows humans to construct planetary terraforming. The mining proved to be very difficult, as the planet was dominated by dangerous and primitive creatures. Over the initial years, these creatures had to be tamed and trained as work animals.
In 4001, a nanotechnological virus destroyed all lifeform on the home planet of these cyborgs and it looked as if they would have to endure life forever on Nactron-C. Consequently, they developed and grew an incredibly strong race, both mentally and physically, whose genetic material will play an important role in the future.

The story fits well with the exhibition and with the world you entered there.

Sophie’s pictures are copper plate etchings and lithographies, which were importet into Second Life. Those who are familiar with Sophie’s art, recognize the artist immediately. All pictures show the contures of people, female and male. Some of the pictures are also clearly erotic, although the atmosphere is not erotic at all. Part of “Cyborg Exhibition” are cyborgs, fearsome creatures, for me a mixture between humans and dinosaurs. Sophie bought these creatures from Urfin (valtum) and from Holy (Qutsal Alex), who both have shops on the marketplace.
At one side of the exhibition you also find the spaceship with which these beings travel around. I only wonder how do they fit into this spaceship *winks*.

Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) is a Austrian RL painter and book author. She mainly paints nude from models and abstract art. She loves to experiment with different kinds of paint and lithography. Her favourite materials are sand, plaster, glue, terracotta, stones, bones, ash, charcoal, natural pigments and more.
Sophie has made several book illustrations and was for many years political cartoonist for a well known satire magazine. She lived and worked in the United States, Australia, Rome and Monaco. Sophie de Saint Phalle (perpetua1010) has an own gallery, The “SUBCUTAN Art Gallery and Multimedia Centre”.

Tuesday, November 29th, I met with Flo at night. It was her 9th collaring anniversay. What a long time, even in RL … and in this virtual world of SL it is even longer and rarer. Thank you, Flo.
We caught up with our mutual news and played a round of skipee together. We had just finished when slave Holly came inworld. She was tired and could not stay long but wanted to congratulate Flo to her anniversary. I took Flo to club DeLust where we just chatted looking at the silent crowd. Argi joined us there and as always she livened up the main chat. It was already way over flotime, when Flo rertreated to bed…. and I went to bed myself.

November 29th: Diomita at club DeLust with Flo and Argi

Before writing something about Wednesday, November 30th, I have to write something about the last days. Friday, November 25th, I had a longer chat with Cherry (Elenaslv Serenity). I had met her as a sub and I did not know that she’s a switch. That Friday I did not only learn about her dominant side. We talked in IM and I couldn’t resist her. Long story short, I stayed up with Cherry until after 3 AM and when we logged off, I had submitted to her.
The following weekend our relation became closer, we played and we talked a lot. Cherry is the sub of Domina Ansar. Things will become complex between Domina and her slaves, me and my family … and Cherry becoming my owner. Cherry and I first decided to keep our D/s relation secret but by the end of the weekend we knew that hiding it won’t give us a future. Hence Cherry talked with Domina … and Wednesday, November 30th, we went out in public.

Wednesday, November 30th, I decorated our home for the season and I rezzed the Christmas gazebo. There were still more decorations to be added but the main stuff was out.
When I got online at night, Mistress Cherry was just talking with Domina Ansar about me. And Flo and Sarah Fhang were at home at the skipee table. I went seeing Flo and Sarah and we played a round of skipee together. When we had finished, Sarah went off to bed. slave Holly came inworld. I talked with slave Holly and Flo and it just fitted that Mistress Cherry had got the consent of Domina by that time. I invited Mistress Cherry to us. Mistress already knew our place, but she hadn’t seen the house yet. So we went on a tour through the house. slave Aya (Ayahnah) joined us when we were at the sun terrace.
Mistress Cherry and I went to Carnal Intentions with Flo, slave Holly and slave Aya and we stayed there the rest of the night until I brought slave Holly and slave Aya home at midnight. Then I showed my skybox to Mistress Cherry until we both had to leave for bed.

It is exciting and also strange for me to have an owner again. Mistress Cherry will not replace Jenny, nor will I ever forget the wonderful time I had with the love of my SL, Mistress Jenny. But life has to go on and I trust in Mistress Cherry and I am looking forward to a new episode in my Second Life – a new episode in Mistress Cherry’s and my Second Life.

There’s not that much to report about Saturday, November 26th. i was inworld a night and played a skipee first with Flo alone and then with Flo and slave Alessi. Afterwards I spent some time with the two at club DeLust and I went off to bed early.

I have almost nothing to report about Sunday, November 27th. At night, after watching a game of the football world championship, I played two rounds of skipee with Flo. After Flo had went off to bed, I spent some time at club DeLust and when slave Alessi came inworld I summoned her to me … and that’s it.

Monday, November 28th, Flo wasn’t present. I prepared our homesim for the short SL Winter. We usually start Spring in January – because we can *winks*. When slave Holly came inworld we first sat down at the sun terrance and caught up with our mutual news. Then I played a skipee with slave Holly. While we played slave Aya came inworld and I unlocked her room twice and she failed getting out quickly enough twice, she simply was inattentive. Finally with the third attempt she succeeded to get out and to watch slave Holly and me playing cards.

November 28th: Diomita at Carnal Intentions with slave Holly and slave Aya

After the game I took slave Holly and slave Aya to Carnal Intentions. slave Aya was suspended there and I made slave Holly spanking her as a punishment for slave Aya’s inattentiveness. slave Holly did a good job, making slave Aya talk about her mistake, later slave Holly made her count and thank me. slave Aya must have had fun or at least it excited her. She was drippin’ on the floor and I had to mae her clean the floor before we left the club.

I took the slaves to club DeLust for about 15 minutes, then it was bedtime for me. Time flies when you have fun-

Art in Second Life 2022 (95) Cloud Galleries

I got an invitation from Owl Dragonash for the opening of a new multi gallery space – the Cloud Galleries  – in the skies above the NovaOwl Gallery.

The platform in the skies provides space for 10 seperate, identical gallery buildings. Each artist has one of these gallery buildings. There is a board in front of every gallery building. Most of them contain a landmark and a notecard about the artist. Owl Dragonash also provides a website with a list of the participating artists as well with information about upcoming events. Cloud Galleries are located in Novatron and are part of Corsica South Coasters.

There’s a lot to discover at Cloud Galleries as these 10 artists cover a broad range of art from portraits to pictures of animals, from abstract colourful pictures to pictures of landscapes in Second Life. I personally discovered several artists who are new for me.

Corsica South Coasters is an international community on the mainland continent of Corsica. The Cloud Galleries are on Novatron, in the skies above the NovaOwl Gallery. For events at Novatrom have a look at the website Novatron. Owl (Owl Dragonash) is the general manager of the NovaOwl Gallery. and I assume also manages the the Cloud Galleries. Uli Jansma will be the dj for the opening event today at 12 PM SLT (9 PM Central Europe Time).
Thank you Owl and Uli. And many thanks to the participating artists. I enjoyed my visit.

November 22nd / November 29th Kitty and Flo’s Collaring Anniversaries

Tuesday, November 22nd, marked Kitty Maurer (Santana Thibedeau)’s 14th collaring anniversary. It is incredible how time flies. I still remember the Hotel California where Jenny and I had imprisoned Santana for months before we collared him. It seems to have happened in another world. Later Santana became a kitty during a roleplay and he began to enjoy his new appearance and gender so much that Jenny and I decided that he had to stay Kitty. And he is Kitty up until today. Kitty is fun, always up for mischief and always up for new adventures. Kitty lives in California and we could only meet in-world during the morning or sometimes late at night. Jenny had more contact to Kitty because she could be online in our mornings as she worked shifts. She always kept me up-to-date with Kitty’s news and told me about her adventures. And sometimes we went rescueing our Kitty. That was always fun!

Now that Jenny had passed away, Kitty stays in touch with me regularly. And she meets with slave Holly in the morning sometimes. Now I get the reports about her adventures. And now I am her only owner. Kitty had become a dear friend way beyond our common fun in Second Life. I am proud to be her friend and I am proud to her Mistress. Such a loyalty is rare, in particular in a virtual world. All I can say is “Thank you, Kitty!”

Today, Tuesday November 29th, is Flo (Florence Riddler)’s 9th collaring anniversary. Like Kitty Flo has become a dear friend. I see her almost daily. The last years we played cards a lot, mostly when I come inworld at night until more of the family are around. While playing we catch up with our mutual news, we chat and we enjoy our 2nd life beyond everyday life in RL. Flo insists that we don’t talk too much about RL, she doesn’t like to talk about any RL issues as that doesn’t belong to her world in Second Life.
Flo loves to try out tight corsets, new bondage equipments and she loves to complain about it and how uncomfortable restraints are at her age. With this argumentation she is exempted from kneeling most of the time and is treated … let’s say particulary. We all love her dry humor and her wit.
I am very thankful to call Flo a dear friend of mine. And I am happy to be her beloved only Mistress now. Thank you so much, Flo!

When I came inworld at my usual time at night on Wednesday, November 23rd, none of the family was present. I played a round of skipee alone, then I logged off again and tended to my RL. I returned on hour later and Flo was present – and playing skipee. Flo and I played a round and while we played slave Holly and slave Aya came inworld. When we had finished our game, I took flo, slave Holly and slave Aya to Carnal Intentions. we chatted amoung us and I really have no idea about what was going on at the club.
After slave Flo had went off to bed, I discussed slave Aya’s hair with slave Holly and slave Aya. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the slave hairbase, that Holly is wearing, working with slave Aya’s head. I selected some other hair for slave Aya and showed it to her. i wanted something short for her. slave Aya made several proposals but neither slave Holly nor I were conviced. In the end I took slave Aya to the shop with the hairstyle that I had selected and we got it for her.

slave Holly, who I appointed to slave Aya’s supervisor, was satisfied … and so was I …..
Our time in SL went by way to quickly again.

On Thursday, November 24th, I had some time inworld in the morning and found a roleplay. That was fun until I had to tend to my RL.
At night I was running quite late. Flo and slave Holly were playing skipee. And slave Z (Zado Ninetails) was there. I hadn’t seen her since May. Flo agreed to stay longer and to play a skipee with slave Holly and me. While we played I unlocked Z’s restraints, but I kept her nosering locked. she shall first get used to SL again before I take full control of her again (in case she desires it).
Flo went to bed after the game as it was already way over Flotime. I took slave Holly and slave Z to club DeLust where the two deocrated me while chatting. And after slave Z went off to bed I had a nice chat with Holly. Well, that’s it already about Thursday.

Friday, November 25th, we had our regular party. Everyone expected the theme “Black”, as it was Black Friday but I selected something different: “It’s Friday again and we celebrate the start of the weekend. Right now the World Cup is running in Qatar, so wear the colors of your nation, rainbow colors or come as you are (even naked). DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes for us.”
It turned out to be fun. Baroness had rainbow rings and Claven distributed them to all. At one point we all were dancing with the rings!

And we also had a great turnout, chatted, had great music – another perfect start into our weekend.
