Simploring 2021 (26) Noweeta – Summer in Skåne

Back in January I visited Snoweeta (read here), a “Swedish (Skåne) winter painting you can walk around in“. Snoweeta supposedly was located in Skåne, Swedens richest agricultural region. Skåne County (Swedish: Skåne län) is the southernmost county of Sweden. It covers around 3% of Sweden’s total area, while its population of 1.3 million comprises 13% of Sweden’s total population. Ystad and Simrishamn are towns in Skåne.

Winter is over – Summer is here! Kaja Ashland, the owner and designer of this general homestead has remodeled her place: “Summer has arrived in Skåne! Explore, meet friends and discover hidden areas in the grass and flower fields. Relax, cuddle or take photos in one of the romantic spots. Welcome to try the new mini golf too!“

Impressions of Noweeta – Summer in Skåne (1): around the landing point

First of all, if you saw Snoweeta, then you recognize Noweeta immediately. Many key elements are the same, just the snow is gone. The landing point is still at the end of a long alley leading up to the house with the garage that is used as a garden house. The cell tower is still there as well as the old oak with the pigs. The sign at the street showing the direction to Ystad and Simrishamn is there, as well as the forest and the pond.

And strangely, the police car is still parked at the street! *winks*. What is new are the two wind mills. While the modern wind mill might have just been built, the old wind mill is a new addition as well as the airway (that might have been covered with snow).

Noweeta, that looks almost empty on a first glance, is full of (new) places to enjoy the Summer to the fullest. One nice place is right at the modern will mill. There’s a wagon to sleep in and outside are two king size beds from which your can watch a film – open air cinema the Swedish way.

The old oak is still where it was before and around it are some wild boars (turn the sound on to hear them). Just a few steps away walking through the flower fields is a place with several blooming cherry trees and grazing sheep. Admist of it is another picnic place where you can enjoy the sun and watch the animals. Next to the sheep are a few bee hives.

Completely new is the mini golf. I didn’t play it, yet the courses are just lovely, each one is a piece of art. I enjoyed just looking at them. And I might return to try it out!

The house at Noweeta hasn’t changed. It is furnished very stylish inside. This time I even walked up on the 2nd floor, where you find bedrooms and a bathroom. New is the outdoor pool and I spent some time there. Swedish Summers might be short, but they are intense and fully enjoyed.

The little garden next to the garage is inviting to have a closer look at it. There are many details to discover. I also walked through the field of sunflowers and other flower fields and had a look at the airway and the sport areoplane.

And finally I visited the forest and the pond again. That was full of life and animals in Winter. And of course it is full of life and animals even more in Summer. I could almost hear all the midges, that also belong to a Swedish Summer. Noweeta offers a lot of romantic places around the forest and the pond and I tried out some of them.

I had a lot of fun exploring Noweeta. I love how Kaja Ashland transformed it from Winter to Summer. It really gave me the feeling of Summer in Sweden. I enjoyed an ultra short virtual vacation trip. Thank you Kaja for sharing your place publicly!

Diary 2021 (80) June 16th/17th Wearing the slave collar again

Wednesday, June 16th, I spent a quite lazy day in RL and SL. Lazy as I enjoyed some time reading in the sun in RL and lazy in SL as I popped in and out several times during the day. I had a longer chat with slave Holly while I was inword and I had a short roelplay, nothing from which I expect that anything will develop, but enjoyable. I also copied Angelique’s outfit from the night before and had fun impersonating her.

At night Mistress Jenny and I caught up with our news and then went seeing the family – and we had a really full house with Angelique, Flo, slave Holly and slave Melissa. Instead of playing skipee we played greedy with 6 people and that took quite a while! Then we moved on to Carnal Intentions and were lucky that we fitted in – sometimes it is hard for 6 people to get into a club with a 20 people limit. And that’s it about Wednesday.

June 16th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at home and at Carnal Intentions with Angelique, Flo, slave Holly and slave Melissa

THursday, June 17th, I met with Mistress Jenny in the afternoon again. We went to Puerto Esclava to catch up wuth our mutual news. While we were there, Mistress asked me to wear my Elegance wirst cuffs and she locked them. I made the mistake to colour them black so that they fit to my dress – and I did not ask her before. Mistress was not angry yet I felt ashamed. She locked the cuffs after I had coloured them as they were before. We stayed a while at Puerto Esclava then we moved on the club Domme a Domme. Nothing was going on there and bence we didn’t stay long and moved on to Heavy Bondage Club. I still felt a bit ashamed and asked Mistress Jenny to kneel next to her and she granted it. She took it as a welcomed opportunity and asked me if I wanted my heavy slave slave collar around my neck. What should I answer? No, would have meant that I didn’t want to please her. Yes meant that I desire to be taken into a red light. I didn’t really desire that, but I always desire to please my Mistress Wife. Long story short I asked her for my slave collar and Mistress exhcanged my sub collar immediately with the slave collar – and she seemd to be very happy aout it. I suspect she would have done it anyway.
We returned to our loft skybox later, in total we had spent almost two hours together. Mistress Jenny left me there, leashed and locked before she logged off to tend to her RL.

June 17th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Eslava, club Domme a Domme and Heavy Bondage Club / Ehesklavin Diomita alone at home

My night was very different from what I expected. Mistress jenny came inworld and unlocked and unleashed me. She had to tend to her RL unexpectedly and just came inworld to unlock me and to let me know about her absence.
I went home and met with Flo and slave Holly. We played a skipee – and slave Holly won. Then I took the two to Carnal Intentions. I restricted Flo and pulled her suit a bit tighter and I gagged and blindfolded slave Holly and played with her restrictions and coloured her bum. I had fun. After Flo had left to bed Faye (Boy Serenity) joined us and according to my mood I gagged and blindfolded her as well. I teased Faye a bit while slave Holly had to tend to my boots.

At midnight I went home with slave Holly and had her lick me to a lovely, intense orgasm. As a reward she was allowed to rub herself at my boot. I was not only in a bitchy mood but also generous *winks*

Monday, June 14th, I spent some time idling inworld while I tended t other things RL. Nothing happened though. In the earlier afternoon, Mistress Jenny came inworld and we spent an hour together visiting Heavy Bondage Club, Puerto Esclava and club Domme a Domme. I couldn’t refrain fron patting Mistress’ bum and Mistress promply put me into a bind pose. Well, it was worth it *winks*
We caught up with our mutual news and watched people. It was quite quiet and hence after an hour we decided to take advantage f the lovely weather in RL and went off.

We spent our night with slave Holly and slave Melissa. First we went to Heavy Bondage Club, then we moved on to Carnal Intentions for the rest of the night.

We chatted quite a lot amoung us, slave Holly talked a lot with Mistress Jenny. Jane (Jane4You), who had seen me at Carnal Intentions kneeling next to Mistress Jenny, exchanged a smile with Mistress Jenny and made a remark. I offered her to kneel at my side and she did. After a while I noticed that her breasts made a perfect table and I drank a glass of winde and could place it on my “table” inbetween. I played a bit with Melissa’s vision restriction and I teased Jane. Time flew by quickly and at midnight we returned home and off to bed.

Tuesday, June 15th, I was inworld shortly during the morning. Mistress Jenny was busy, I had a short chat with Faye, then I turned back into my RL. In the afternoon Mistress Jenny and I spent an hour together at Heavy Bondage Club. We caught up with our mutual news. Faye joined us while we were there and she decorated us well. Then we returned into our sunny RL that day.

We had a really varied night. It started with a skipee togehter with Flo and Angelique. After our game we went to Carnal Intentions. It was comparably quiet but full and we could watch a floor show. When slave Holly came inworld, the club was full and we couldn’t teleport her to us – and I had to pee. Hence I went home and used slave Holly, I just managed peeing in time, then I returned to Carnal Intentions and this time we could teleport slave Holly in

Angelique left for bed and Faye came inworld and joined us. Two weeks before slave Holly had wanted to show us a nice place, that she used to visit, just to enjoy. And we had postponed a short tour to this place again and again. That night we went there: Nawty Jungle Beach.

It was fun. It is really a nice place, full of places to sit and enjoy. Mistress Jenny and I used horses for exploring the place a bit. There’s also a bowling, something we like to do every once in a while. Anyway, we might visit again.

Flo went to bed after our short simploring tour. Mistress Jenny and I took Faye and slave Holly to Psi’s realm for half an hour. slave holly made a really great picture from her view – we are spoiling her obviously.

In the “Backflash” series I select an old entry once a month and present it here. This way I force myself to browse in the archive and to fresh up a few of the many memories. For our readers the new series shall provide an insight into our Second Life without reading back the many posts and it might also give reason to browse through the archives.
For June 2021 I scrolled back 5 years and selected 2 posts from June 2016.
The first post is from June 25th, 2016 and titled “Another full house” and shows me with slave cecy, slavin C, slave Adarra, sklavin Gebby and slave Nina. They all have left us and we can only hope that they are doing well.
The second post is from June 13th and titled “The slaves”. I had made a picture with all 10 (!) slaves, subs and applicants we had around us 5 years ago. What a collection!

Another full house (June 25th, 2016)

Thursday night was short as I was home late. And I found a full house of slaves when I arrived. Of course I couldn’t resist to take a picture (well, several pictures) of them.

Thursday night it was slave Nina’s turn to get (ab)used. She also got aquainted with our office desk. In order that we don’t mix up the slaves those who were used lately wear the bag gag… slave Nina is number 4 … still some to go *winks*. The night was short but enjoyable … and the slaves sweated inworld and in RL.

The slaves (June 13th, 2016)

Over a month ago we put slave Flo into her red latex catsuit adding a red latex hood with black eyepads and a blonde pony tail. That day the new outfit for our slaves came to life. The outfit has been further developed and slave Adarra first added the “Maurer”-rose to the left buttock, then the national flag of the slave’s residence on the right buttock. Every slave got a different colour in a shade of red, pink, violet or liliac. And not only our permanently owned and collar slaves Flo, Gebby, Adarra, cecy and Nina were dressed accordingly but also Kitty. In addition we had or have slave Po, slave Mii, slavin C and slave Pauline in the very same outfit. In total 10 (!) slaves. When we go out, they add colour to every sim and they attract attention, in particular when they come online together. Everywhere we go with the slaves we get compliments and also application to join the group.
When I publish pictures here in the blog I refrain from telling who’s who. I can only guess how difficult it is to distinguish them, in particular when you don’t see the flag on their buttocks. The slaves will stay in their outfit at least until end of June so there will be more to report about them and there will be more pictures. In May I had in mind to put an enjoying bondage picture together showing all slaves on the naughty slut platform in Lochme but I gave up this plan as it was a bit to ambitious to get all slaves aligned in the right position. Instead I made a little collage of all slaves together with Jenny and me. I hope you like it – I am pretty sure that all 10 slaves are in the picture. Just let me know if I mixed them up *winks*

Enjoying Bondage June 2021 – Horseriding and more….

This month’s Enjoying Bondage picture reflects once more our activities. On June 2nd we had a horseriding session. This kind of horseriding goes back to our early days in Second Life. We use the same equipment as in 2008 – a “bondage horse”, hence the name. Usually we arranged 2 of them so that the slaves are tied up face to face and we see eachother while riding. This time I arranged 3 horses and Mistress Jenny and I used the slaves alternating. For the Enjoying Bondage picture I manipulated the orginal picture and added me riding slave Elena (Elenaslv Serenity).
I added our Flo in her tight full latex suit with hood to the left – well she couldn’t watch and even hearing was restricted. But she could smell what was going on *winks*. And I added myself a second time on the right with my tied up married Mistress wife and Eheslut from my short green light that I had on the occasion of Jenny’s 13th collaring anniversary.

Simploring 2021 (25) Missing Melody – June 2021

For my simploring tour on Thursday, June 3rd, I picked Missing Melody from scoop.it SL Destinations. I had visited Missing Melody before on New Year’s Eve 2018 (read here) and later in May 2019 in a total different layout (read here). The entry on scoop.it SL Destinations led to a post of Inara Pey “Reacquainting myself with a Missing Melody in Second Life“.

Missing Melody is a moderate homestead owned and designed by Bambi (NorahBrent). Inara wrote in her blogpost that “Bambi is now back and once again offering her region as both a home to her store“. I missed visiting the versions of Missing Melody that were also home of a store, the two version I saw so far had no store. Missing Melody in June 2021 is also home of Bambi (NorahBrent)’s store named “Oh Deer“.

Bambi wrote about Missing Melody in the landmark profile:
“Once Broken and Forgotten. Stuck in nostalgia. A cool wind strolls in a daydream between the trees. Leaves dance with the salty water’s waves. A place to breath fot a moment.
Photographer and Blogger friendly with a romantic touch. Everyone is welcome.”

Missing Melody consists of two islands. One is dedicated to farming and to the “Oh Deer” store, on the other island you find a nice café, a waterfall, a romantic pond and a village. You land at a zebra crossing for chicken (very cute!) on the farming island.

“Welcome to Missing Melody. Please enjoy your stay. I would warmly suggest if possible for you to hit that ultra and enjoy the sim fully. Missing Melody was built out of a lot of love and emotion. I hope you will feel it too as you stroll around.”

Close to the landing is a barn that is used for the “Oh Deer” store. “Oh Deer” offers original mesh rustic knick knaks, from a letter box to a vane, from a Zen garden to a golf bag. A great store to find nice decorations making your own place unique.
Right behind the store is the beach. No surprise that you can sit and enjoy the view there.

The rest of the island is occupied by large flower fields: a tulip field, a subfower field and a lavendar field. The three fields offer great backgrounds for pictures. Flowers as far as you can look. Again there are nice little details to discover and I enjoyed exploring. Over the island flies a sports aeroplane with an ad for Missing Melody.

Walking over a narrow bridge you get to the “Oh Deer” café. The café is full of decorations, so many little details to see. I was not alone in the café and sat down and let my mind and eyes wonder – a very romantic place to be.

I visited the village next. The village is quite a contrast to the rest of Missing Melody. It’s white facades and blue shutters and the blue round dome of the church makes it look like a Greece village, very Mediterrean. The houses are not furnished inside, but the outdoor decoration, the courts and cosy backyards invite to have a closer look at the details. There must have been a wedding recently as there’s a big bow of balloons and many hearts at one court close the shore. You have to be a bit carful walking around. I myself got lost when I tried to sit down (I fall through the ground).

Finally I went to the waterfall and the romantic pond above it. Again a place where you can sit and enjoy or take pictures. Missing Melody is a lovely place to explore, to enjoy togetherness or just for taking pictures.

Diary 2021 (78) June 11th-13th A sunny weekend

Friday, June 11th, Mistress was once again not inworld during the day. I made the most of the great weather in RL and enjoyed some RL outdoor time. I went inworld late afternoon and went on a nice Summer simploring tour. That really fitted great.
At night we had our Friday night party. Mistress Jenny and I had fixed the theme before we went to bed the night before: “YAY, it is a hot summer evening, come barefoot and feel the warm sand between your toes – or just come as you are. DJ Virgo is spinning the tunes. Let’s have fun!”

June 11th – Friday Night party: Mistress Jenny, Diomita, Angelique, Flo, Ebony Massey. Saturday, June 12th, Mistress and I met in the afternoon and spent 1 1/2 hour together visiting club Domme a Domme, Carnal Intentions and Puerto Esclava until mistress had to leave to tend to her RL. I enjoyed being at Mistress’ side and finally was happy to kneel at her feet and that she took my leash. We had a relaxed time.

I returned to Puerto Esclava after Mistress Jenny had left and got in contact with a domme there, a domme we had seen often before and it turned out that she was very nice and to my suprise quite subtle. I spent over an hour with her before I had to dash into my RL myself (No, no pictures and no name *winks)

Saturday night became a bit strange for me. Mistress wasn’t inworld nor were Flo or slave Holly or slave Melissa. I went shopping first and spoiled myself with a new outfit that I wore that night. Angelique was inworld though and we spent an hour together at Carnal Intentions and exploring a femdom place. After Angelique had left I toured the clubs. I was at club Domme a Domme, at club DeLust, at Heavy Bondage Club, at Puerto Esclava, at Dark Butterfly … yet nothing really happened. I had a chat here and there, but that’s it.

Sunday, June 13th, I was inworld in the later monring and I had a little roleplay at Puerto Esclava. I’ll have to see what will develop from it, but I might have stepped into another blackmailing trap. I have to be careful for sure!
In the afternoon I was lucky that I could meet with Mistress Jenny, as we hadn’t made an appointment and were not sure if we would see each other at all that Sunday. We went to club Domme a Domme, Mesmerize Dungeon and Carnal Intentions and caught up with our mutual news.

Art in Second Life 2021 (58) Flowers by Fly Kugin

When I visited La Maison d’Aneli end of May (read here) I came across Fly Kugin (flyqueeen) the first time. I had contact with Fly afterwards and she invited me to see her new exhibition “Flowers” at the Focus gallery.

“Flowers” by Fy Kugin is an collection of 10 pencil drawings. The drawings are showcased on the court in front of the Focus gallery.

In the center is one easel with a poster of Fly Kugin. You can get information about her by clicking it.
Fly Kugin (flyqueeen), as a live violin performer, is streaming into Second Life from Istanbul, since September 2019. She’s performing improvisation, Jazz & Rock genres, musicals & soundtracks from different time periods from various artists. But Fly also likes to spend her time taking pictures of landscapes and playing with them on photoshop. She is still learning different techniques. Fly started sketch drawing in March 2021. She acquired this passion in RL and it allows her to escape from the stress of everday life and main profession, music.

While I saw Fly’s landscape pictures at La Maison d’Aneli, “Flowers” features the other passion of Fly – drawing. The drawings are impressive by their simplicity. Whoever tried drawing like this knows that it looks being easy yet it isn’t. I can picture Fly’s drawings as an eye catcher in a living room in Second Life, as they can be displayed way larger then they are in reality. They would fit in particular into Asian style buildings.

Diary 2021 (77) June 9th/10th Two relaxed days

Wednesday afternoon, June 9th, I met with Jenny in the afternoon. I was still wearing my partnering collar and enjoying a green light on the occasion of Jenny’s 13th collaring anniversary on June 5th. Due to Jenny’s activities in RL we hadn’t had much time for ourselves since that day. I asked Jenny to wear her vixen cuff set and added a gag and a blindfole and took her to club Domme a domme where we caught up with our news. I restricted Jenny’s vision so that she could focus on her owner – me.

We spent an hour at the club and I enjoyed having Jenny at my feet exposing her as m i n e. We returned to our loft skybox and I returned control to my Mistress wife. For almost a week, I hadn’t addressed her with “Mistress”, I was at eye level with her and when we were alone I had her at my feet. Thank you for 13 great years, Jenny, my love.

Mistress immediately unlocked my parterning collar and exchanged it with my sub collar. Back to everyday life ..

We met early at night and there was a reason for it. Mistress Jenny wanted to make sure that I find my place quickly again. And what is better for it than making me lick her and let me taste her addictive poison. I can tell it work perfectly again.
We went to Puerto Esclava afterwards but didn’t stay long there. Flo had come inworld and we returned home for our nightly game of skipee.

After the game we went to Carnal Intentions and we stayed there the rest of the night. Soon after was go there, slave Holly came inworld and I summoned her to us. I unlocked her chastity belt and took off her plug. Then she rode a dildo at the club and entertained Mistress Jenny and me and all others around. And yes, we allowed her to cum after she was barely able to hold it back any second longer.

I put the butt plug back in and chastitied our slave Holly again. When I was done, Faye (Boy Serenity) showed up and joined us. Mistress Jenny and I had a longer chat with her. Faye got closer over the last months, time to collar her soon. Time flies when you have fun. At flotime we returned home and as Mistress Jenny had an early start the next day we all went off to bed.

Thursday, June 10th, Mistress was not inworld during the day due to her RL. And I myself was busy and made the best of the nice weather in RL. I met Mistress Jenny at night. Flo and slave Holly were present and we started our night with a game of skipee, Mistress Jenny and slave Holly against Flo and me. It was a one-sided game that Flo and I won way to easily with good cards. While we played slave Melissa came inworld.
Mistress Jenny took Flo and slave Melissa to Carnal Intentions. I had to pee and took slave Holly with me to our bathroom and used her as my personal toilet. Then we joined Mistress and the others at Carnal Intentions. I fixed latex doll slave Melissa on a doll stand and played with her vision restrictions. Faye joined us and I set a nice restriction for her as well.

June 10th: Diomita and slave Holly at home / Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Carnal Intentions with Flo, Faye, slave Melissa and Faye

We spent the rest of the night at Carnal Intentions and chatted amoung us. I also continued playing with the restrictions .. and time went by quickly. slave Holly made some nice pictures of her (only little restricted) view .. and even of my butt.

Art in Second Life 2021 (57) La Maison d’Aneli June/July 21

Wednesday, June 23rd, a new exhibition at La Maison d’Aneli has been opened. It features the art of Asperix Asp, Therese Carfagno, Melusina Parkin, Mistero Hifeng, Vroum Short and ChrisTower Dae.

I started my visit at the skybox of Mistero Hifeng. I think everybody, who is somehow connected to art in Second Life has come across Mistero Hifeng already. And if not – visit La Maison d’Aneli. Mistero has a very unique style which makes his 3D figures really unique. His way to break up part of his figures into pieces has become his signature. For his skybox at La Maison d’Aneli he reproduced some of his 2D artwork into 3D.
Mistero is in Second Life since 2007. You can see his art in many sims – also at our home. Mistero Hifeng’s art can be purchased at his “New Store Digital Art – Cammino & Vivo Capovolto“. He also has a flickr account.

Melusina Parkin showcases almost 30 pictures in her skybox at La Maison d’Aneli. She titled her exhibition “almost nothing”. How fitting!
Melusina Parkin’s photos tend towards minimalism, which is Melu’s main inclination: simple details from daily life or usual landscapes are the subject of mostly empty scenes, stressing voids, space, geometries, lights; this reveals hidden meanings or pushes the observer to give them her/his own one. Her favorite subjects are wide landscapes, city views, industrial environments, popular lifestyles and daily objects.
I was once again intrigued by Melusina’s style, that forces the spectator to focus on a detail and such pulls the spectator into the picture .. and you begin to make up a story in your mind.
In the center of the exhibition room you find a table with a book with all pictures showcased at La Maison d’Aneli in the exhibition “almost nothing”. Or you can get a particular display show. Those who are regular visitors to Melusina Parkin’s exhibitions know these books already:
Melusina All-in-One Exhibits allow you to keep at home the whole exhibit you visited and loved. It’s an alternative kind of the exhibit catalogue: you can hang the object on your home’s walls and enjoy the changing images.
They come in four versions, that you can choose according to your home style: plain or framed, changing image by touch or in random loop. The objects are set as modifiable, so you can adapt them to your walls.

Melusina has her own gallery, her own shop “Melu Deco”, a flickr account, a blog, an online book about her former exhibtions 2011-2019, and a youtube channel.

The opening event took place in a seperate room on the ground right where you land at La Maison d’Aneli. This room was created by Vroum Short, another artist who I covered already a few times in this blog. The room is held in black with a lot of white permanent changing light effect on the floor, the ceiling and the walls. Within the room you find little islands with penguins and the dance floor in the center. Of course there’s a dj’s desk (with an animated robo discjockey and drummer. Vroum named her room “Ice disaster”. Considering the islands on which the penguins survived, the light effects may symbolize the meling ice, the ice disaster. You can also recognize some penguins in the light effects.

I know Vroum Short as the owner of VeGeTaL PLaNeT. I peeked at it several times but never found the time to really visit it and to write an extra blog entry about it. The VeGeTaL PLaNeT also hosted Aneli Abeyante’s La Maison d’aneli for about a year. VeGeTaL PLaNeT is gone but there’s now the VeGeTaL PLaNeT Gallery (read about it here and here)
Vroum Short is a French SL artist since 2007. She works with lights and light effects, sometimes also very colourful. Vegetal Planet Gallery a world where everything becomes possible and achievable where the barriers of reality fade away to let the imagination flood it with life.
Vroum has a store for her art on the marketplace and a flickr account.

Asperix Asp is in Second Life since 2007. He’s a Spanish senior artist with 35+ years of experience in digital image, infography, rendered tridimensional fractals, virtual entorns… and had many expositions in RL and SL. For me it was the first time I came across his artwork. Asperix skybox at La Maison d’Aneli is a sphere with a transparent floor in the center of the sphere so that it is a half sphere, a dome. The sphere is textured with fractal art, some look like snails, the lights make it look like space art, the texture of the floor reminded me of the Statue of Liberty, in particular together with the Sculpture in the center of the room. Looking down through the floor you get more and other views.

Around the center sculpture Asperix arranged 8 fractals. They change permanently, hence each picture you take is a bit different. The fractals remind of mineral, of stones and for me at least are either from space or details on earth we never see. Fractals are just intriguing. Therese Carfagno came to Second Life in February 2007. Soon she got a job as a journalist, and met the most interesting artists in SL. Seeing so much creativity inspired her to start taking pictures herself. Therese thinks that taking pictures helps to look at the world a little closer – and there are so many wonders to see in SL:
“I have no interest in calling myself an artist. I take snapshots. If I’m happy with the picture because of the motive, the colours, the people in it, or anything, I upload it to Flickr or exhibit it somewhere. That’s it. And if someone else like what I do, that’s even better.”

The pictures presented in Therese Carfagno’s skybox at La Maison d’Aneli are all but simple snapshots, at least in my opinion. The black and white pictures look very real and were in the style I expected as they fit in line with a former exhibtion of Therese Carfagno at La Maison d’Aneli. The colourful upright pictures are very artful and some seem to be a mixture between abstract pictures and portraits. I have no idea how that is made – but it is quite artistic and not just a snapshot. Chapeau, Therese.

ChrisTower Dae is in Second Life since December 2006. It’s the first time that I came across ChrisTower Dae. His passion are avatar portraits. He tries to capture the expressions that a skin can offer, that give (according to many people) a soul to the avatar and make it a personality.

ChrisTower has designed his skybox at La Maison d’Aneli like a labyrinth, yet it is not a labyrinth. The black and white structures are extraordinairy. From the ceiling, that is textured with a labyrinth too, ChrisTower has suspended his avatar portraits – not just along the walls but crisscross.
The portraits are mostly coloured, a few are in black&white. And yes, ChrisTower proves that you can create very expressive faces within Second Life, even if we all are mostly very beautiful and young. You can give your avatar a soul, make it your second appearance, make it being yourself. And I know from myself that I identify with my avatar. ChrisTower succeeds in making the soul tangible and understandable.

La Maison d’Aneli is owned by Aneli Abeyante. Through her gallery she brings together all forms of creativity in RL and SL and the featured artists come from around the globe. Aneli’s intention is to “put her gallery in the service of artists, so that the world can be better, exchanges and meetings probably contribute even though it seems to be particles.”
