Art in Second Life (9) Planet by Cica Ghost

On Tuesday, January 26th, I got a message from Cica Ghost. She had just opened her newest installation “Planet“- I went there the next day and as always I enjoyed my visit to Cica’s installations

Planet is a strange and weired world of itself. Planet has pink, violet and blue ground textures, the sky has also a touch of violet. Flying saucers, UFO’s, fly above in the sky. Cica’s tip jar is also a UFO. I zoomed out for an overview. You can see another planet (the earth?) on the horizont. What I noticed first were the bizarre structures with holes, some looking like trunks, others like skulls.

Looking around I noticed that some holes are filled with eyes that look around on what is going on, some of the structures move a bit, they can’t move a lot though as they are connected with the ground. There are objects with one, two and three eyes. Quite close to the landing is a colourful structure, kind of a large worm with one eye and 3 objects with 2 eyes, which reminded me a bit of polyps. On the ground are several fields with flower like objects. I first thought it were mushrooms, but now I think they look at bit like jellyfishes. From these fields and from nowhere particles rise and vanish, The particles look like little ufos, others like matchstickmen and others like viruses. So much to discover!

The thought Cica provides with Planet is: “What if I’m a princess on another planet? And no one on this planet knows it?” (Candace Bushnell)
The princess lives in her own little world on Planet. In the center is a glass dome with a large rolling shutter gate. Inside lives the princess with her cow, the laundry is drying on a washing line, many flowers and gras provide an earth like environment. Also inside is the princess’ house, decorated with pictures of other Cica-creatures.

You can use some of the flying saucers to fly yourself. Just hoover with your mouse over them and if you can sit … et voila. The UFO flies you around and you can watch out trying to differentiate between rock and living creature – and enjoy. There’s also a rocket, mabye the rocket the princess onced arrived with. You can sit in the capsule and look out.

What else? There’s a free space ship that Cica gifts to us. I tried it, it is funny to fly around with it. And you might wonder, where is the cat? It is in the glass dome, not that hard to find this time. *winks*

Planet by Cica Ghost is as all of her installations first and foremost fun. Her funny creatures and her fine irony always make me smile. Although there are quite some strong pictures that refer to all of our lifes at the moment. The glass dome with it’s little perfect world inside, safe and sound. The virus like creatures waiting ouside, the big monster virus with one central eye which shows up at the coast, the particles that look like viruses, the immobility of Cica’s creatures, the empty holes, where once might have been eyes ….
Well you might (and should) have another and happier message – just smile looking at Cica’s creatures and creations.

P.S.: I saw other blog entries about Planet by Cica Ghost and noticed that for some reason I had not the environment setting that Cica had intended for her installation (I thought I had set it to region default but I had not). Her sky looks like in the poster, the first picture in this entry. Anyway, my pictures are even more particular now *winks*

Enjoying Bondage January 2021 at Psi’s realm – all eyes on Diomita

This month’s Enjoying Bondage picture is not a collage as most of them. It is an original picture taken at Psi’s realm on January 10th. Mistress and I were there with Flo, slave Melissa our new slave toy (brie4675) and Irene (AdlerIrene). All three were wearing the AnaVision HUD and I forced them to permanently look at me. That can be quite funny when you move and see how they turn to keep their focus on you. After a while of playing I decided to take the slaves over to the WoS (Wall of Shame) and to arrange them there decoratively. I’m quite content with the result. What a lovely memory of an enjoyable night.

Diary 2021 (6) January 12th/13th Two days with the slaves

Tuesday, January 12th, Mistress and I met in the afternoon and went to Heavy Bondage Club and summoned Lucy (MissLucyWales) and Irene (AdlerIrene) to us. Both are getting closer to us and while Mistress cared about Lucy, I cared about Irene. We teased them and tried to get better known to them, their kinks, desires and expectations. Before Mistress Jenny had to leave to tend to her RL, we returned home to our skybox and Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. I just needed it *winks*.

January 12th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Heavy Bondage Club with Lucy (MissLucyWales) and Irene (AdlerIrene) / and at home

Our night started slowly and became busy for me at least. Like the neights before we started with playing a skipee with Flo. While we played slave Melissa and slave toy came inworld. I had a nice chat with slave Melissa during the play. She seeded some wicked ideas in me, she’s a little bondage doll *winks*. Her corset was at stage 3 that night, one more stage to go, then she’s ready for me to take full advantage of her corset.
I had in mind changing slave toy that night and I began it while playing skipee. When we ended our game we noticed that slave toy’s collar wasn’t working anymore – and we didn’t get it working for the rest of the night. We went to the house and slave toy was allowed to pick something from her large wardrobe of toys and gear, she selected a hood and a corset from NGW and the DHB armbinder, all worn over a black latex catsuit. It took a while to get all keys and to sort out ownership. When she was doen we went to Mesmerize Dungeon. I stayed busy with slave toy, still trying to sort the collar issue – in vain. First Flo had to leave for bed at her usual time, then later slave Melissa had to leave for bed. We brought her home and went to club Domme a Domme for a few minutes where I could wind down a bit. It had been a busy night for me – as it is always when something doesn’t work as planned.

Wednesday, January 13th, Mistress Jenny and I had the afternoon just for us. We went to Puerto Esclava first and caught up with our news, then we went to club de Delust where we haven’t been together for quite a while and finally we spent a few minutes at Dark Butterfly. Mistress Jenny hadn’t been there before and she like that there are enough chairs to sit down and that the audience is a bit different to the one we see at out usual clubs. Hence I expect we might go there more often.

Our night didn’t start with a skipee. Flo and slave Melissa were present and we had a round of greedy with them instead. slave toy came inworld while we played and we took the slaves to Psi’s realm where we spent the night. I rezzed a dildp cushion for slave Melissa so that she could entertain us. We teased her as she had talk that often and that much about dollification, that it has to be a deep desiere of hers. Mistress and I already decided for an outfit.

Irene joined us later and as a few days before all eyes were on me …. slave Melissa’s, slave toy’s and Irene’s. After a while I asked FLo to offer Mistress a seat and of course she did. And when Flo had to leave Irene stepped in for her. I had quite some Iprivate chats again and Argi had openened a group chat. we told her to join us and she did and was with us until it was time for slave Melissa and Irene to go to bed – and it was time for us as well.

Art in Second Life 2021 (8) Art Galerie HaXue at Noir’Wen City

I got an invitation from Violet Boa to attend the opening of the new “Art Galerie HaXue” at Noir’Wen City on January 10th. I visited the gallery before the opening on January 9th.

Art Galerie HaXue is owned by the two artists Puce (titput) and Cayenne (Bebop Xue). During my visit Nieu (NieuwenHove) was present as he was preparing the stage for the opening party. He gave me some background information about the two artists:
“Puce and Cayenne… Two young artists working together, complementing and multiplying each other, each one of them offering us a magical and teeming world where dreams simply become real, without any other form of question or word…..
They make a playful art, out of the ordinary, open, varied, where the extraordinary simply becomes obvious. Puce and Cayenne make us travelling in a lively universe where they explore and defy without emphasis the laws of logic. They also allow us to find in us a part of childhood with adult eyes.“

Both artists were not new to me. I came across Puce (titput) in September 2020 at La Maison d’Aneli (read here). Puce is in Second Life for more than 4 years. She was curious and began building, shaped prims and began building her own world.
And from the latest exhibition at La Maison d’Aneli in November 2020 I know Cayenne (Bebop Xue), a French artist, who is in Second Life for over 12 years (read here)

Impressions of Galerie HaXue at Noir’Wen City (2)

It is no surprise that you can recognise the art of Puce and Cayenne at their gallery immediately when you you saw their work before. Right behind the entrance on the left side is a quite large exhibit from Puce, playing with light and shadows, with scupltures of humans transparent pictures on the walls.

The art of Cayenne is also coined by the play with forms and lights. There are two pictures at the gallery where she place a 3D object in front of the picture so that it literally connects with the picture. In one work it is a sphere, in another work it is two heads looking at each other. Depending on your viewing angle you get diffeernt impressions.
The constant change is also expressed by a couple of pictures that rotate so that you’re forced to focus to see the picture itself. In another picture Cayenne has brought the texture on an half shell and added light effects – and again you have to focus to see the picture itself. A few of Cayenne’s pictures are originally taken from an installation of Cica Ghost. Cayenne enhanced and processed them but Cica’s art is still recognizable behind the pictures.

At the back wall of the Art Galerie HaXue you find a door leading to the “Dream Factory”. This part of the exhibtion reminded me of Puce’s installation at La Masion d’Aneli. I wrote: “a world using chess patterns, transparency, lights and shadows to compose a piece of art that you can walk through. Most elements are animated, so the installation changes permanently and I for my part had dificulties where to look at first.” That fits to the Dream Factory as well, at least with regard to the chess patterns and the chess figures. I also recognized the maid dresses that levitate in the room. But still, it is not the same piece of art. And there’s a second different room which walls, floor and ceiling are covered with pictures and patterns in warm tones. In the room live a few crows.

As the Art Galerie HaXue is Cayenne (Bebop Xue)’s and Puce (titput)’s personal art space we can expect to see their newest art projects presented there. I enjoyed my first visit.

Diary 2021 (5) January 10th/11th – The sub collar

Sunday, January 10th, I met with Mistress in the afternoon for about an hour. We went to Psi’s realm where we caught up with our mutual news. Lucy (MissLucyWales) joined us there and knelt leashed and locked at Mistress feet. We had also Irene (AdlerIrene) with us and I had a longer chat with her, took control of her AnaVision HUD and played with her showing her how powerful this HUD is… Irene might get closer.

January 10th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Psi’s realm with Lucy (MissLucyWales) and Irene (AdlerIrene)

We started our night like most nights lately, playing skipee with Flo. While we played slave Melissa came inworld and I had a private chat with Irene. We went to Pis’s realm after Mistress Jenny had defeated Flo and me badly with the cards. Irene joined us there and she was wearing a full vixen cuff set and the deluxe gag as we had agreed on in private chat before. I took full control of Irene. slave toy came inworld and I summoned her to us. Thus I had three slaves at my leash: slave Melissa, slave toy and Irene. Mistress Jenny and Flo watched me. And the slaves had their eyes on me only – forced by the AnaVision HUD. I took the opportunity for a short spontaneous bondage night and arranged the 3 slaves at the WoS (Wall of Shame) at Psi’s realm. That took a while but it was worth the effort and fun.

Time flies when you’re having fun. First Flo left at her usual time, then slave Melissa had to leave for bed, hence we returned home and said good night to slave Melissa. Irene watched us bring slave toy to bed and then Mistress and I retreated ourselves.

When I met with Mistress Jenny Monday afternoon, January 11th, she had a real surprise for me on stock. After I welcomed her appropriately she allowed me to stand, unlocked my slave collar and replaced it with my sub collar. I had expected a lot but not this! I don’t know anymore for how long I was wearing the slave collar, it became normal for me. Getting now the sub collar, and be it only a few days, feels strange but good and conjured a big smile in my face. Thank you, Mistress Jenny!
We went to eavy Bondage Club and Mistress summoned Lucy (MissLucyWales) to us. I had a private chat with Irene (AdlerIrene) and summoned her to us. We four spent about an hour at the club, just talking and watching the silent crowd.

After Mistress had to leave to tend to her RL I went to our house with Irene and had her at my feet. Irene was quite excited and soon later she entertained me riding a dildo cushion for me, good girl.

Our night began with a game of skipee with Flo again. As we came closer to the end of the game Lucy (MissLucyWales), Irene (AdlerIrene) and slave toy came inworld and to us one after the other. We went to club Domme a Domme that night, party because it was quite full, party because we haven’t been there with the slaves for a while. It became a nice and enjoyable night. Mistress tended to Lucy, I tended to Irene, Flo made her priceless remarks, and slave toy knelt obediently by my feet. We had quite some IMS and had literally our hands full. Faye came by but we both, Mistress and I, weren’t able to tend to her really and she left again.

Art in Second Life 2021 (7) Bermuda Locket

I came across “Bermuda Locket” when I scrolled trough scoop.it SL Destinations . The entry led to a blogpost from Maddy Gynoid “Simtipp: Bermuda Locket“. Actually Bermuda Locket is the newest installation of Lex Machine (Archetype11 Nova).
Archetype11 Nova was formerly known as Schmexysbuddy Resident and created the Hotel California sims, which I visited in 2019 (read here and here). I saw Lex Machine’s installation “Isolation’s Passengers” last year (read here).

Bermuda Locket is a collaborative build of Lex Machine (Archetype11 Nova), Anastasia Falcor (Anastasia Nova), Mr. X Zenovka (Marcomr2 Zenovka) and Sheraton Falcor (Sheraton Voom). In the landmark description Lex writes: “As you enter into my curse, our dreams reverse and the demons burst…“

Bermuda Locket – overview and orientation map

Bermuda Locket consists of two islands. On one hand it is a lovely beach themed sim with two residentials houses, a beach hut, a boat house, two motor yachts and a sport boat and places to wind down and dream. On the other hand it is a collection of 3D-art, the visualisation of dreams, of temporary thoughts, be it nightmare or beauty or surreal.

Impressions of Bermuda Locket (1) – around the landing point

The presented art is quite dominating as most of the objects are very large. The landing is opposed to a broken lighthouse (which I came across already a few times in different sims) by the feet of a large laying female sculpture. You see two other oversized female sculptures kneeling and sitting nearby and strange fishes fly over your head. A surreal scenery. The fishes were created by aki69, most of the oversized sculptures at Bermuda Locket are from wassaabii.

When you look around you see many oversized sculptures. There are 2 beach houses, a traditional on one island and a modern beach house with boat house and beach hut on the other island. I first visited the traditional beach house. On my way to it I encountered an armada of “Wasp Angels” created by Bryn Oh. Close to the house is an intriguing sculpture created by CioTToLiNa Xue surrounded by flying shadowy females. At the beach are several cars sticked with their front into the sand. The cars are the work of Rena (guraa). And finally the ensemble of surreal art is completed by sculptures of Rebeca Bashly.

The tradiditional beach house is furnished quite with style and with love for the detail – and nothing reminds of the surreal world which is outside.

The beach house on the second island is modern. Together with the boat house, the beach hut, and the 2 big motoryachts it radiates luxury. The furniture inside is similar to the furniture in the traditional house, again very stylish! I sat down outside on a swing and enjoyed the surreal scenery.

In the corner of the second island you see a couple of horses (also created by wassaabii). On the beach lies anothter oversized female. Closeby I noticed a raft and sat down for a break.

Bermuda Locket is an outstanding art sim. I rarely saw that many oversized sculptures and it is strange to see how they dominate the scenery. The mind (at least mine) isn’t able to differentiate between the lovely beach islands and the oversized surreal 3D art. Again Lex Machine created an outstanding composition of art and the featured homes of MZ Creations by Mr. X Zenovka (Marcomr2 Zenovka). And because of the dominance of art I categorized my visit under “Art” rather than under “Simploring”.

Friday, January 8th, Mistress and I met for an hour in the afteroon. We had a visitor at our sim, Irene (AdlerIrene), and we went seeing her. I know Irene for quite a while now but we lost sight of eachother. Just lately Kitty sent me an helo for her and we got in contact again. Mistress and I met Irene in front of our house. We chatted and Ann and Flo joined us there. We had some banter and fun with Ann’s temporory pregnancy, something that is really only possible in sL *winks*. Finally we gave Irene a quick tour before we had to retreat and to tend to our RL again.

January 8th: Mistress Jenny, Diomita, Irene (AdlerIrene), Ann (Transann) and FLo at home / Mistress Jenny and Diomita at Puerto Esclava and at club Domme a Domme

We were inworld early at night and had a quick tour through the clubs. We were already dressed for the Friday night party: “The first week of January is over and we head into the weekend. Here at Eurobrats HQ we enjoys the Spring already (that’s Second Life!). As the theme for tonight we selected “vintage lingerie” but you can always just come as you are (even naked)”
As Virgo had announced she would run late, we prepared everything for the paty and then played a round of greedy with Flo. The party began slowly .. then we got a sim restart. That’s unusal for a Friday! We had to take a break but luckily the sim was back online quite quickly and .. Virgo was inworld earlier than we thought. We had fun ancing to her music and celebrated the start of the weekend.

Saturday, January 9th, I was inworld in the later morning, mostly to change into something fetish again after the lingerie party the night before. I quickly hopped through 2 clubs, then I logged off again.
I returned after lunch and had in mind to go on a simploring tour or to visit a gallery. But as slae toy (brie4675) was present I decided to have my way with her. I took her to our rubber dungeon and placed and fixed her on the “future toilet”, ready to take in my pee. Well, sometimes RL is against us, this time it was against slave toy who had to leave all of a sudden, just when I was about to pee *sighs*.
As I had intented first I went visiting a gallery instead of kinky fun. I was just about to finish my visit when Mistress came inworld. We went to club Domme a Domme, to Puerto Esclava and to Carnal Intentions. And we just caught up with our mutual news and we talked. I had a relexed and enjoyable hour together with Mistress Jenny.

Mistress and I were early inworld at night and my night began with licking Mistress Jenny and getting my fix. Thank you Mistress. Flo and Angelique were present and Mistress wanted to play a skipee as pairs. But before we went seeing Flo and Angelique Mistress bought mittens for me and locked them on. She allowed touch so that I could hold the cards, but it was awkward nonetheless for me.

We played a skipee and slave toy watched us playing. After the game we went to Carnal intentions and stayed there the whole night. I played a bit with toy’s Anavision HUD and discussed probable outfits with her. That kept me entertained. Later after midnight, Flo and Angelique were already off to bed, Kitty joined Mistress, toy and me at Carnal Inentions. It was great to see our troublemaker.

Simploring 2021 (5) Kidaka Resort, Hotel & Eco Lodges

For my simploring tour on Tuesday, January 5th, I picked “Kidaka Resort, Hotel & Eco Lodges” from scoop.it SL Destinations. The entry led to a website about virtual hotels, namely hotels in Second Life. It is called “The SL Hotel Inspector“. The creator, Dirk Lemon, loves to travel in his real life – but as many of us can’t travel due to the current pandemic. Instead he travels in Second Life, just like it do. Dirk’s passion is to inspect hotels – and Kidaka Resort is one of these hotels he reviewed.

What attracted me was to travel it Africa again. I never was on this continent so far, just in Second Life. Maybe that’s one reason I like to travel to Africa virtually. The second reason is, that there are not many places in SL with this theme.

Kidaka Resort – overview and orientation map

The Kidaka Resort is a adult homestead owned by Del-ka Aedilis (karport). The landmark description summarizes the sim as “a place to spend your holiday, date or honeymoon. African wildlife & the luxury of a hotel suite: restaurant, spa, jacuzzi, pool, travel, resort, lodge, glamping, sex, first class, rental, romantic, trip, beach, privacy, photogenic, tent, motel, safari“

Impressions of Kidaka Resort (1) – Entering the hotel

As seen on the orientation map, the Kidaka Resort Hotel is the main building on the sim. Besides this building there are some lodges/houses mostly located at the coast or beach. You can rent these lodges from 100L – 300L per day.
The landing is right in front of the Hotel and I got welcomed by a receptionist (a bot): “Welcome Diomita! Please feel free to look around. Some areas are only for guests of the hotel complex. If you would like to rent a room, lodge or tent, you will find all available rental units on our website or at the rental kiosk in the reception. Please teleport to the respective unit using the Booking Kiosk, our website or the teleport door at the Main Lodge (located next to the Lounge Bar). You need to pay directly at the rental panel in the unit. Do not forget to accept the group invite after you have paid and wear the group tag everytime you are on the sim. Impressions of Kidaka Resort (2) – Around the hotel

I explored the hotel first and it is quite neat and has the flair I’d expect. There’s a bar, a restaurant with in- and outdoor seating, a large pool and the whole scenery is built to provide the look and feel of a luxury hotel in Africa. There are some static non-player characters (NPCs) to liven up the scenery in the hotel – who wants to be alone in a bar?

What’s outstanding is the rest of the sim, pure savanna and wildlife. And you can see and watch the animals from very close by and they won’t bite! Some of the animals are animated and it is really fun to watch them. What did I see? Elephants, lions, gnus, flamingos, zebras, giraffes, an ape, a parrot…

The lodges are nice, offer privacy and a far enough from each other so that none will be disturbed by neighbors. They are protected with a security system forcing non-guests to leave within 2 minutes. Hence I could only sneak in shortly.

The Kidaka Resort is a great place for photographers, it is perfect for a short virtual trip into another world, and it is a nice hideaway for a night or more. I enjoyed exploring – and once again I was surprised by SL’s variety.
Del-ka Aedilis (karport), the owner of Kidaka Resort, has also a shop and sells building and stuff for roleplay. You can check that out at his store on it’s website.
Thank you Del-Ka for providing the Kidaka Resort and the public space there. I had a great short trip.

Diary 2021 (3) Jan 6th/7th – Changing slave toy and slave Melissa

Wednesday, January 6th, Mistress Jenny, Flo and I went to Psi’s realm in the afternoon for more than an hour. It was quite crowded and fun. Amalia (Amalia Illois) was present and she succeeded to tease and to initiate some main chat. I caused drama because I provoked a domme and smacked her ass palyfully. That led her to call me a stupid idiot and to leave angry. Bad Diomita! I just smiled and shook it off. Most reacted like myself.
Amalia was looking really hot and wore her afro look hairstyle. The hairstyle tempted Gwen Drammond (dstross) to stick her fingers into the power plug and obviously she found one with high voltage.
To sum it up – we had fun!

At night Mistress and I played a skipee with Flo first, then we went to Carnal Intentions and stayed there until Flo left at flotime. I had fun teasing slave toy a bit with the Anavision HUD and the picture of her view, that she sent to me, almost looks like modern art. We also had a funny and entertaining conversation via group chat with Argi.
After Flo had left we went to Psi’s realm with slave toy for another half hour, then it was time for bed and we stored slave toy at home before we went off ourselves.

Thursday afternoon, January 7th, I took down the Christmas decoration and made our island ready for the Spring to come. That took 1 1/2 hours, not as long as in RL but still quite a time.
When Mistress came inworld, we had Flo, Lucy (MissLucyWapes) and slave toy at home. We caught up quickly with out mutal news and then went seeing the girls. Lucy had cleaned the house so that Flo could have a lazy afternoon. We went to DHB as I wanted to change slave toy and she has most of their stuff. I picked a straight jacket, a gag and the ballet boots. We had a further look around, then we went home to change slave toy. That took a while but was worth the effort.

January 7th: Mistress Jenny and Diomita with slave toy and Faye at Carnal Intentions

We went to Carnal Intentions, but without Flo and Lucy who had to tend to their RL. We spent half an hour there, Faye joined us and Ann provided a dance animation to Mistress and me – that was fun. But our time for the afternoon was already over again.

At night we met at the skipee table with Flo, Ann and slave toy. We began our night with a skipee again. slave toy knelt by my feet enjoying her misery. And slave Melissa came inworld and knelt at my other side. While we played I began to change slave Melissa but I wasn’t done with it before we ended the game. We went to the terrace and I finished, peeled slave Meli out of her catsuit, removed the hood and the chastity belt and added a harness gag. She was wearing just the corset, ballet ankle boots, cuffs and gag. When I had finished we went to Carnail Intentions for the rest of the night.

At Carnal Intentions also Lucy (MissLucy Wales) joined us. She had bought the Anavision HUD and I restricted her a bit. THe two slaves enjoyed just decorating us.
Later back home Mistress allowed me to lick her and to get my fix. Well, I’m really addicted.

Art in Second Life 2021 (6) Artists’ Village at Campbell Coast

When I scrolled through scoop.it SL Destinations on Monday, January 4th, I came across an entry which led to a post from Inara Pey “A new home for an Artists’ Village – Campbell Coast“.

I read the post and had to have a look myself.
The Artists’ Village at Campbell Coast is operated by BJoyful and Doc Rast (rasterscan) and curated by Owl Dragonash. As the name implies it is a village (located on a sky platform) that offers 42 studio spaces in a really nice environment. Inara wrote in her post (January 3rd):
“29 of the 42 studio are already occupied or reserved by the following artists: Dhyezl, Etamae, Jaz, Gidgy Adagio, Shakti Adored, Caly Applewhyte, Whimsical Aristocrat, Ceekay Ballyhoo, Michiel Bechir, Thomaz Blackburn, Giovanna Cerise, Rey Charles, Owl Dragonash, Apple Fall, Johannes Huntsman, Uli Jansma, Suzen Juel, Lena Kiopak, Anouk Lafavre, Dimivan Ludwig, Radagast Malaprop, Kitty Mills, Nympheas Nogah, Inara Pey, Blues Rocker, Tempest Rosca, David Silence and Skip Staheli. They are joined by musicians Jed Luckless, Lexus Melodie, Larree Quixote, and writer GoSpeed Racer. All of whom amount to a rich selection of artistic expression.
Those interested in obtaining a space at the Village should contact one of Bjoful, Doc or Owl in-world.

The studios are presented in town house style units with two floors of exhibition space (artists will need to install their own teleport systems between floors), with the studios laid out in blocks separated by cobbled streets and open spaces, complete with an open-air bar / event space at the southern end of the village.”

On my fist visit I had a look at the studios of Inara Pey, Thomaz (Thomaz Blackburn), CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo), Dimi Ludwig (Dimivan Ludwig), Suzen JueL (Juel Resistance) and Giovanna Cerise.

Thomaz is a SL photographer and processes the pictures he takes only a little or not at all. He is focused more on getting the right windlight setting for his pitures

Impressions of CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo)’ and of Dimi Ludwig (Dimivan Ludwig) studio at Campbell Coast Artists’ Village

CK (Ceakay Ballyhoo) presents both, only minimalistc processed pictures taken in Second Life and also highly processed pictures where the you can’t know if the original picture was taken in Second Life or in the physical world. Dimi Ludwig (Dimivan Ludwig) is working as musician in Second Life since February 2006, I assume that is why the guitar is in his studio. He presents very nice pictures of animals and nature from the physcial world.

Impressions of Suzen JueL (Juel Resistance)’s studio at Campbell Coast Artists’ Village

I’ve never seen anything of Suzen JueL (Juel Resistance) before, yet I really like of her café/studio, the colourful art at the walls that catches your eye and the atmosphere in the café that is particular. Suzen has her own website with an event calendar and more examples of her art and her music. I was quite impressed.

Impressions of Giovanna Cerise’s studio at Campbell Coast Artists’ Village

Giovanna Cerise is not unknow to me. I visited Flash Back / Flash Forward in 2017 (read Simploring 2017 (42) Flash Back / Flash Forward), in 2016 I visited her LEA-installation Monochrome (read here), in April 2015 I saw Otium (read here: A visit to Otium) and in May 2019 she participated in an exhibtion at La Maison d’Aneli (read here). Giovanna is an Italian literature teacher and musician. In Second Life she’s active since Ende of 2008 and had many exhibtions and installations. She particpated in the LEA program participations and her list of activities and appearances is long. For more information look up her website. At her studio she presents pictures and 3D sculptures that are real eyecathers and look very different depending on the viewing angle. It’s a feast for the eye to explore these scuptures.

Last but not least I visited Inara Pey’s studio, actually it was the first sutdio I saw during my visit. I know Inara’s way to create artful pictures in Second Life from the many post I read in her blog. She developed her own and very typical style. As I know many of the places she visited myself looking at her pictures also brings back lovely memories.

Thank you BJoyful and Doc Rast (rasterscan) for this initiative and Owl Dragonash for curating the Artists’ Village at Campbell Coast. I had a pleasant first visit.
